Review of: Istanbul Full Day Old City Tour
Overall a good tour. The guide was competent and friendly and knew a lot about the places we visited. I got to see the "classics" of Istanbul - like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace. At the end of the tour I was led to a small store where I could try (and buy) local sweets or tea, which was also nice and I got some good stuff for my people at home. What I didn't like about the tour is that also in this last stop (that was part of the tour) there was a carpet sale as well. When you participate in this tour and you know you do not want to buy a carpet, better tell them right away and don't even let the people from that shop lead you into the showing room for the carpets. Otherwise it might get really difficult and unnerving not to get talked into buying at least some kind of carpet.…

We had a wonderful tour with Umut. He was so knowledgeable and nice. He was relaxed and friendly. He even took extra time while we were waiting for lunch to explain other historical places in Turkey to us and give us recommendations on what to see in our upcoming cities. He went out of his way to help us to the station and secure our tickets. The sites were unbelievable!! The thermal pools were amazing and much larger than we expected. This tour is not to be missed when you are in Turkey!…
