Hello, My husband and I booked a walking tour in Istanbul with Ephesus Shuttle.
We were booked on a cruise in May, 2020. Unfortunately, due to Coronovirus, we had to cancel the cruise and the walking tour. Sadettin (Sado) AKBABA was so responsive and communicated from beginning to end. Booking the tour was very easy and his communication with me was wonderful. I was so disappointed we had to cancel, but he was very understanding and responsive. I hope to visit Istanbul in the future and will definitely book a tour with Ephesus Shuttle!

Due to the Covid 19 virus, we canceled our September 2020 cruise that was to stop in Ephesus and Istanbul. We made this decision about 3 weeks ago. At the time, I sadly emailed Sado from Ephesus tours to let him know about our decision. I was greatly impressed with his kind response. He wished us good health and hoped we would contact him if we ever traveled to his part of the world in the future. I originally did not have to give any deposit, so that was not a worry for me. From the very start of the reservation process, Sado, was wonderful to work with. He replied quickly to all my questions. And, his responses have always been kind and gracious, even when I had to cancel and when he will probably face a difficult tourist season. When we booked for both cities, we were also given a discount on the price we were going to pay. I chose Ephesus shuttle tours due to good reviews on Trip Advisor. It was a pleasant surprise when we did not have to pay a deposit initially. When traveling opens up again and we find our way to his part of the world, I will definitely contact Sado and his company, Ephesus Shuttle tours. I wish him only the best as he moves forward.

We were scheduled for a 24 day cruise in May and June of 2020 that would have visited Ephesus and Istanbul. We had to cancel that cruise because of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic.
We have rebooked the same cruise for June of 2021. That cruise will visit Ephesus for one day on June 25, 2021, and will visit Istanbul on June 11 - 12, 2021. We intend to rebook the same tours with Trip Advisor and Ephesus Shuttle that we would have taken this year in 2020. However, we will wait until later in the year to make our bookings with you to ensure that the pandemic will be under control by the time of our rebooked cruise.
You have asked for our experience in booking our tours with both you. Our experience in booking our tours with Trip Advisor and with Ephesus Shuttle was excellent. Our personal contact with Ephesus Shuttle was Sadettin (Sado) AKBABA. Sado was excellent! We were treated with courtesy and kindness and our needs and desires were completely accommodated by Sado. He spent a great deal of time working with us to design tours of Ephesus and Istanbul that met our desires and needs. We would like to work directly with Sado bey again when we rebook our tours for June of 2021. Dicle from Ephesus Shuttle met us on-time off the cruise ship for a private tour in Kusadasi. As an archeologist, she guided us through Ephesus, including the terrace houses. She expertly navigated around large groups and offered non-stop history and information during the entire tour. We also visited the Artemis temple and archeological museum, which contained many interesting artifacts excavated from inside the terrace houses. Dicle's English was very clear and she offered context to what we were seeing. One of the best tour guides we've ever had. Ask for her by name... We highly recommend her.

Our guide Melih met us, a group of 9, when we got off our cruise ship. We first went to the ruins at Ephesus. It was very hot out, over 100 degrees, but Melih accompanied us through the ruins and gave us valuable information about all the ruins, which we weren't expecting. We also stopped for an authentic Turkish lunch, which was wonderful and then onto a Rug factory, where we were able to try weaving a rug, Melih was very friendly and knowledgeable. We all had a great day and agreed Ephesus was a great place to visit. I would highly recommend Ephesus Shuttle and Melih as your guide .

Our tour guide, Melih, was easy to understand, very informative and a pleasure to spend time with. He certainly knows his history of Ephesus and the regions around Turkey overall. He didn’t pressure us at all with regard to the pace of our visit, or even visiting the additional site of the terrace houses – which we’re very glad we did. He also allowed us to decide if we wanted to elect to visit a ceramics studio or other type of shopping establishment. All in all, my wife and I agree it was the highlight of our 4 week vacation!
The driver Farhid was excellent, also.
If we ever return to that region, you can be certain we will engage your company for another tour.

As soon as I realized our cruise was stopping in Turkey I knew I had to contact the company we used 8 years earlier. For years we told friends how our tour to Ephesus was a highlight of our trip and who better to engage again. Then we realized they offered tours at other Turkish ports so we hired them in Bodrum too.
There is nothing like a private tour, just us, a guide and a driver. Nahide, our guide was perfect, full of knowledge and personable, she gave us better insight to all the historical and cultural highlights first in Bodrum and then the next day in Kusadasi.
In Kusadasi after a full tour of the ruins of Ephesus we went off the typical tour to visit a town in the mountains usually only visited by locals on day trips where we were able to get a taste with local flavor. Nahide gave us flexibility that only a private tour can give.
Ephesus Shuttle is highly recommended if you are looking to get away from typical bus tours and get a personalized tour.

Definitely recommend this company if you are looking for an Ephesus tour. We had a wonderful guide, Ceyla, who speaks fluent English and has a great sense of humor. We had a good time and learned a lot about Turkey since it was our first visit there. Thanks for the excellent service.

Melih was my tourist guide for one day private tour to Pam ukkale. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was also very patient when I found out I lost my phone,lol. We went back to the main site where I took off the shoes and found my phone.

We arrived on a cruise ship to Kusadasi so had to go see Ephesus. We booked Ephesus Shuttle to take us to Ephesus and the Terrace houses and had a great excursion. Our female tour guide was very knowlegable and answered all our questions. we were a small group of 7 and the tour was fairly inexpensive compared to the ship tours. Highly recommended.

Ephesus is in in Turkey and Rome is in Italy. Not sure how you reconcile both places. Cant help with your Italian tour

It is not too much walking but the ground is very uneven throughout. Mainly walking on roads of marble, rock and dirt. Not suggested for physically impaired or disabled.

Hi, Iam there in October and until I read the great reviews I had no desire to get off the ship in turkey due to the reputation of being pestered to buy and all the news lately, so can someone tell me do you get pestered at all, taken to carpet shops ect, Iam used to Florida where there's no hassle , so I will only consider turkey if the guide protects you from the all the harassment , do they? Or do they try it on ?

If you take a private tour and you specify you don't want a carpet factory tour, you will not be taken to one or anywhere else you don't want to go to.
