I contacted Patmos Tours online and arranged for a guide to meet us when our ship docked on Patmos for the day. We were met by Sophia, a fascinating and outstanding guide. Sophia had a multi-cultural background and was able to give us various perspectives on the sights we saw on Patmos. She shared the religious history of the island,... More

Rachael of Castle Travel Day Tours did an amazing job in preparing and organizing an amazing adventure for me in Greece and Turkey. I wanted a pretty much independent (go at my pace and my interest) type vacation and with the help of Rachael, that is what I got. All of the seven hotel I was booked in were good... More

Pamukkale is unique and very interesting. However, there are sights close by such as; Hierapolis and the Roman Theatre could be much more fun for others. We are invited to commend on Bugra Can after our day tour a week ago. Firstly, Bugra speaks good English and knows some good jokes, that was a good start. Unfortunately, he can be... More

When you go traveling, there are bad guides, good guides and then there is Harun. From the first sentence he spoke, he had us hooked. The drive from Pamukkale (where we were staying) to Ephesus was about 3 hours, and in those three hours, he told us so much about Turkey - geography, politics, foreign policies - far beyond what... We used Castle as a partner of our main tour organiser Efendi Travel. On the first day, the Pamukkale tour was okay: the site is greatly interesting but unfortunately 3+ hours drive each way (for a total of more than 6hrs) from Kusadasi with 1 hour for lunch break and half an hour in a pottery factory outlet leave very... Both our tours, Troy on Day 1 and Gallipoli on Day 2, were excellent! Our Troy visit was of just about 3 and a half hours which was perfect for the site. Our Gallipoli visit was a whole day, about 8 hours and anything less would not have done the area justice. Our arrangement with our organiser, Travel Ephesus included... More

Well, the tour company itself, for me, is about the same as other operator I used during my visit in Turkey. What makes this operator excels for me, is the guide. I can't really remember her name, Yilnez probably, but she knows her stuff, very experience with good background about Ephesus and Turkey. Excellent english, excellent explanation about the ruins... We really enjoyed the tour and found the guide to be excellent. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The pickup and drop off at the port of Canakkale were well organised and on time, and the lunch was very nice.

We took a tour to Didima Miletus and Priene. The guide, Bugra CAN really made this trip alive with his story. He not only very knowledgeable about al stories behind this area, but also they way he told the story made it alive. If we can choose the personal guide for another trip, we certainly choose him.

Just came back from a cruise on the NCL Jade with a stop in Kusadasi. We had been to Ephesus twice and wanted to explore other sites nearby. Contacted Castle Travel for a private tour to Priene, Didyma, and Miletus and received a very reasonable quote. Vedat was very easy to communicate with and we finally booked a private tour... More
