If your in a group your welcomed, if your a female, your really welcomed and get lots of attention! Unfortunately I felt left out and was kept waiting several times.
Almost from the minute you arrive they try to sell you stuff, creams , potions lotions. Even during my massage an interpreter came along side me and said the masseur had found a problem with my back, but an extra payment he could fix it !!
I obviously declined several times before he went away , needless to say he saw his arse and that was that !
Prestige massage ? No ! VIP massage ? No !
It’s like a production line of people coming and going, it’s just not the real deal at all, but you decide .

I have been lucky enough to have a Turkish bath and massage before (so I knew what to expect) and so recommended to our group that we all have one. The rep stated that this place was the best in Side, so had no worries with our choice.
On arrival, the venue is nice enough.
Up to the massages, it seemed OK. Not the best, but a pleasant experience.
Howvever, the massages were definitely the worst part of the visit. We were not asked if we would like to be in couples or individually and were split up. Half way through, each of us was told that we had a medical condition. These varied but included, poor circulation, toxins in our system and tight muscles...
But they could resolve it for us with an extra long session, for just €45 (discounted from €60!). One of us was quoted €35 but this was later retracted and apparently she had misheard.
Once the massage session with the "therapist" was over, you were shown the door. No relaxation period like I have had on any massage anywhere, not just Turkey.
Would I recommend? Absolutely not. Use your head, do some research. Unlike me.

Hope his helps.

Not quite the relaxing massage I thought I'd be getting...
I have had many massages in various countries, Egypt, Turkey ,Thailand,...all vary in quality, but this was pretty crap.
During many massage expiences people have, you will usually get the hard sell routine "you have a bad back, you need to come for more massages"...blah, blah, blah. This is pretty standard in many countries, as they try to incur more business for themselves. This usually involves a 30 second sales pitch, by the masseuse him/herself to explain, during the massage, how they think you would benefit from more massage. Normally you'd say yes or no to the offer of going back at a later date, and that would be that.
What I wouldn't expect during my massage would be a knock at the door from a man working there, who then enters the room and starts chatting to my masseuse in Turkish....I knew what was coming next!!!!!
The worker who entered the room then said he was there to translate, although there was no invitation for him to come in and translate from my masseuse. The 2 men chatted in Turkish for a minute, then started the hard sell. Emit who came in the room said I needed more massage, and that I had a problem with my leg...rubbish!!!
During this explanation, the massage stopped, I'm face down on the table, with just my bikini bottoms on feeling a tad awkward, while having to listen to this guy's pants explanation of why I needed more massage. I politely declined and stated i just wanted what I came in for,...a relaxing massage. He wasn't taking no for an answer, he said he was trying to help me, and again I said..,thanks but no thanks. He then carried on, refusing to take no for an answer, going into prices and reasons why he thought I should return. I explained to him, he's given me the information, it was then my choice what I did with it, and I'd decided....NO..,I didn't want extra massages, just for him to leave so I could carry on with my massage. I think at this point he was getting the message that I wasn't a push over, so he eventually left the room. At this point, I was feeling uneasy and far from relaxed. I made itclear I'd give him a mention on tripadvisor...."Hi Emit, thanks for encroaching on my massage with your pants sales pitch!!!!"
Is this a good time to say that I myself am a masseuse, and wouldn't dream of letting another person in the room while giving a massage. If someone has paid good money to relax and unwind in a peaceful atmosphere, that is what they should get. Yes.... there are occassions where a masseuse may feel the client would benefit from further sessions, this should not be done in a hard sell, harassment kind of way, and certainly not by a 3rd person who was uninvited into the room, during a massage.
Won't be back here!!!!

PLEASE BE AWARE : WE WERE REFERRED TO HAMMAM SPA BY THE A REP IN HOTEL.
NAME OF HAMMAN AND SPA IS " PRISTEGE VIP HAMMAM SPA ". DO NOT GET TEMPTED BY SALES MAN OFFER .
This place is complete rip off, you will get persuaded to pay extra for treatment and if you refuse sales man will get aggressive. Its shame hotel management must know about this SPA but have done nothing to stop their guests been conned. After just 5mins massage I was informed by massage therapist that I need medical massage and it will cost 50 euros. I told him I am fit and healthy and that I don’t want extra treatment. I just want 40mins massage which is what I paid for. But they kept pushing me for extra. Eventually they gave up and said my treatment is over. I did not receive massage I paid for

We bought this experience from a travel agent across the road from our hotel.
We thought we would book early in the holiday for a massage and a Turkish bath as we thought it would be beneficial for us to have good skin to get a good tan.
We were collected from the hotel and arrived at the spa . We were herded in and told to get changed, then sent to a outside room containing mud , no explanation just sent to this area , this lasted for about 20 minutes told to shower and follow, we were took down some dingy stairs to a very poorly illuminated area and shown the steam room , 15 minutes we were sent to the salt room which was dirty and smelly. At this point I should followed my instinct and left. To cut a long storey short we were taken upstairs for our massage ,we were put in a waiting area with other guests, advised that there was a bit of wait so a guy offered us all a complimentary face mask , he proceeded to go round the room of people with a bowl and a paint brush and put this on everyone’s face, I declined as hygiene was lacking. The massage basically was a total con , my husband and I were taken to separate areas the massage began the masseur left the room 10 minutes in and then suddenly came back with another guy who explained the masseur didn’t speak english, the masseur had discovered I needed urgent treatment for a medical condition. I explained I had no extra money and would need to discuss with my husband , the other guy said he would go and explain to my husband, he came back and said my husband said it was okay and to continue with the treatment. They done the same scenario with my husband he also had an urgent medical condition! they told my husband I had said yes to paying extra for his treatment. The whole experience was intimidating. Once it was all over the scamming didn’t stop there, we needed to pay . We were taken
back to our hotel to get payment , I decided to use my credit card huge mistake . We paid the bill some 250 TL , no receipt . The whole experience was dreadful, but didn’t end there .
On arrival back to uk my credit card bill arrived the charge £250.00 , not Lira , put the transaction into dispute but didn’t have a leg to stand on as I put my PIN number in machine at the time and funny enough was given no receipt. Emailed the company 27 times guess what no reply. Feel stupid as partly my own fault but how did they manage to change Lira to £ . Please be careful or better still don’t use this place

We (4 adults and 3 teenagers) visited the Prestige VIP Hamam Spa for the experience of a mud bath, the use of the sauna and steam room, to sit in the salt room, have a Turkish bath, relax in the relaxation room and a full body massage.

The mud bath was freezing cold and extremely watery with a garden hose spurting out dirty water.

We were then ushered downstairs on incredibly slippery stairs and floor to the sauna, which was occupied by other guests and were told to set the timer. A sauna and steam in any spa does what it says on the tin, sit there and sweat!

We were then directed to the salt room like a herd of cattle where we sat for a further period of time.

Finally, what I had been waiting for, the Turkish Bath. I have previously had a Turkish Bath in Turkey a few years ago which was amazing, but this was nothing like my first experience. There were a few other customers before us so we had to wait for a period of time, which was no problem. However, watching the other customers, the baths were getting quicker and quicker, especially once someone had come in and shouted at the staff in what only appeared to have told them to hurry up! One of the children from our group began his bath, then another started his, only the last child who started, finished first!

We were then taken to the relaxation room where we were left to relax for a while.

The massage was next, which I was so looking forward to…..

The lady began her incredibly rushed massage, after stripping me of my bikini top, which I would have been happy enough to take off myself! After approximately 2 minutes she left the room for what seemed to be a very long time. She returned and then re-started the massage.

Suddenly a man came into the room, explaining that the lady had told him about a problem I had and that was going to interpret for her. She said approximately three words and from this, he interpreted a lot!

Whilst still topless, I was informed by this man that I may have a problem with a slipped disc in the future, he spoke about salt in my spine, but this could be easily resolved without the need of surgery in the future with a medical massage at a cost of €60. I thanked him for his concern and explained that as this had not been a problem now or in the past I had no need for this added extra. He became incredibly abrupt and began shouting that two of my group had agreed to have this added extra and that I would have to sit and wait an hour for them to finish.

I was fuming, but even more fuming that I chose not to look at this man face to face during this conversation as I was still topless!

Would I recommend Prestige VIP Hamam Spa? Absolutely no way!

I only wish I had looked at the other reviews before being encouraged to book this Spa with Prestige VIP in Side, with the owner who was very happy to say that he speaks 7 languages.

I felt I had been totally short changed from this whole experience, paying €20 for adults and €16 for children.

Once we had re-grouped following the experience, it did not surprise me that the other three adults in my group would have the same medical problems in the future!

We were a party of 8 people and had booked treatment at this place through the rep at our hotel. Some 5 minutes into our massage we were all told that we had medical problems and that we would need medical therapies for an extra charge ranging from 30 to 50 euros. I was told that all of my colleagues had opted for the extra treatment. I told them that I needed to consult one of my colleagues to confirm this. My colleague said that this was not true and when I said that I just wanted the normal massage without any additional payment, I was told that my treatment had finished !. We were also told that the 'mud treatment' was not available as it was seasonal - although we had paid for it. PLEASE BE WARNED. These people are there to extort extra money from you. Please avoid them at all costs. Our hotel had been advised of our problem and they will not be using them again. Rather than feeling relaxed, we all came out feeling angry and frustrated.

This is a money machine designed to fool gullible tourists who wants to try traditional turkish hamam for the first time.

The basic package that we bought was cheap, just 25 euro for 2,5 hour treatment.
Which included sauna, salt room, steam room, hamam, face treatment and massage.
Sounds too good to be true right? Right, because it was.
The hamam was over before it started and the treatment was amateurish at best.
Some splashing of water, some scrubbing and some massage. Just enough so tourists will think they have experienced real hamam.

But the real scam was at the massage.
I thought the massager was being friendly when he asked me what I did for a living and if i liked football. And so I told him my profession and that I played football for a hobby.
He then told me that I had serious problems with my legs, lower back and neck because of my work and my football playing. The ordinary treatment was not sufficient to fix this, but he could give me additional therapy that would solve this.
This would cost me 60 euro extra! Of course I didn´t accept, and when I declined he proceeded to give me a half-hearted massage for another 5 minutes and that was it.
My girlfriend who was beeing massaged in a different room had the same experience.
She was told that she had a lot of tension in her back, but she could get a hot stone massage to fix this. And this cost her 60 euro! So the total cost came to 85 euro! Outrageous!!

So to sum up: They lure you in with a nice package deal, get you to relax to lower your guard then scam you while getting a massage to try to squeeze more money out of you.

Stay away from this place!
