We took a one-day trip to Side and visited the ancient ruins. Through the gate and „Vespasianus Aniti” we saw the huge Greek Amphitheater with 25 000 seats! The ruins can be seen free and it’s worth to walk around and enjoy the special atmosphere of the past. We liked it and took lots of photos!

The whole area is very nice. You can visit a lot of ruins and see a lot of structures that survived for so many years, some better then others.

Near the amphitheatre and old town. This is worth a closer look while passing though its hard to see it for tour groups covering it for photos and selfies! Need to get there early to see it in peace.

This is like the main gateway into Side . Very tight for the traffic to get through only one way at a time . Because its a busy road you won't actually be able to stand there and take pictures so do it from the free Dolmus bus .

The whole area is littered with ancient ruins like this how some off the structures are still standing defies logic but again well worth going to see along with the other ruins in Side.

The archway that is a beacon for tourists trying to get an amazing photo is on a busy road. There is a pathway to the side that is wide enough to allow people to take photos whilst other walk past. The archway itself has obviously been altered to look the way it does and in my opinion is probably to strengthen the site and to avoid accidental damage caused by motorist. Still, it is rather beautiful and worthy of a visit. Whilst waiting your turn to get a photo here (it does get busy but doesn't seem to have impatient people pushing in if the see you waiting) it is thoroughly entertaining watching the vehicles creating gridlock and beeping horns as it's every driver for themselves to get through the archway.
The bonus of this place is that it is free to visit and the amphitheatre is literally next to it. The whole area by this is a mixture of building and ruins that are mostly free to visit.

Very interesting to visit Vespasianus ruins, to see a lot of columns and archs; near the other archaeological site, to plan to visit all of them in a relaxing afternoon.

This old fountain is right on a busy road and therefore it is difficult to get a good view, but, together with the adjacent arch, it is well worth a visit.
