Antiphellos to give it the correct name. Suffers by comparison to the many theatres we have seen in Turkey. Seemingly largely restored and not very well, more as a tourist site than historic, no remains of where the main structure of the entrance and stage would have been. Free to enter and fine for a sunset viewpoint, and for many smokers it seems, ends littered everywhere, no guesses as to their nationality.

If you are in Kas, don’t miss it. It is a nice gentle up hill to the amphitheater and then some steps to the top. I recommended you go in the evening when the sun is setting. It is a great photo spot. Do not drive there because the road is narrow and you won’t find parking.

Stunning amphitheater, mainly in its original state with small renovations which dont jump out at you. There a better sites around but this one definitely worth a visit. Take some drinks and snacks and watch the sunset.

Wonderful example of ancient history - walking up the 50+ steps of the ampitheatre to the top, viewing the landscape and soaking in the sun - bliss. Heavily renovated so that locals and tourists can enjoy it. One sign at the bottom of the site to explain the history, no barriers, no "touristy" parts...totally left for visitors to enjoy it for what it is. In some months, you can watch shows for a small fee. When we went, you do not need to pay, just simply stroll in.

Just few minutes walk from the city center, this amphitheater offers an amazing overview of the city, harbor and sea.
And the sunset from here is simply amazing.

It is still used as a teather nowadays. It is well preserved and free to visit. Sadly, it was full of garbage

Hellenistic Theater (a.k.a. Antiphellos theater) is about 500m west of Kaş harbor (follow Necipbey Cd. west). Antiphellos was a small settlement and the port for Phellos, a much larger Lycian town further north in the foothills. This small Hellenistic theater was built in the 1st C BC, using the natural slope of the hillside to support the seats. It had a round orchestra that was once used by the choir, an auditorium in the shape of a horseshoe (It could seat about 4000 spectators) and a separate building comprising the stage and changing rooms called the skene. It was damaged in the the great 141 AD earthquake, and restored in the 2nd century AD. The area declined in the Middle Ages, and was all but deserted by 1828. The theater has been restored in modern times, and is used for outdoor performances. There's a good view of Kaş and surrounding coast from the top. The grounds are open (May - Oct) 8am to 7pm, closing at 5pm in Nov - Apr. There is no entry fee, unless there is a performance.

İt is about 10 minutes on foot in Kaş city center. We saw a bad restoration with this amfi theatre and did not understand it all. However, watching the sunset here is amazing. So,many people usually go here very late in the afternoon for sunset mostly.Take yr drinks,go to this theatre and enjoy the scenery with the sunset.Recommended.

This ancient and recently renovated Temple is an absolute delight. What is truly wonderful is that there is no charge to get in and no horrid perimiter wire desicrating its boundary. Just walk the ten minutes from Kas Harbour and enjoy the ancient stone terrace's with staggering views over the sparkling ocean towards the Greek Island of Meis. I think the best time to visit is after the heat of the day has subsided, about half an hour before sunset. Bring some cold drinks and something to eat, sit on the top tier of steps and enjoy the view, Cicada's clicking in the thickets behind you. When you leave DONT leave any litter !
