About
Descend from Kaleici to the Antalya Marina via very steep stone steps. Bring sturdy shoes so as not to slip. It's well worth the effort because the marina is a lovely crescent-shaped place where fishing boats rub shoulders with smart yachts. Watch the fishermen sell their latest catch and chat with yacht owners. A few small cafes offer coffee or tea. Look back up toward the plateau, which forms the basis of Antalya and get a special view of the landmarks from down below.

    Interesting boats and statues
After you have walked through Kaleici you arrive at the Old City Marina. There's interesting boats and statues, boat tours and refreshment outlets. Surprisingly, like Kaleici, after the noise of modern Antalya, the Old City Marina is peaceful. After strolling round and taking in all the coming and going of the boats you can either walk back through Kaleici, or take an elevator, to modern Antalya.

    Lovely place
We went here for a day out, nice little place, the harbour is nice with boat rides and coffee shops. We took the mountain lift going back up as we had a push chair. We ate out at an Indian restaurant Mumbai spice in the town and the food was amazing

    Great scenery
Beautiful and fun spot. There's several beautiful viewpoints throughout - one is from the street where you can see the marina from high up and you can take the elevator down, another one is near the end of the marina a few steps up. Lots of boats, vendors, ice cream, restaurants and people around. It also leads to the lovely old town.

This is a general comment from a person, family that calls this city a 'Second Home' after 10-12 years. The pollution at night in the winter months has become unbearable and I would think almost at dangerous levels. Something has changed in the last 1-2 years. You can not leave the window of your home open at night for fresh or clean air. The matter should be addressed by the authorities, as I would imagine, personal livelihoods and health would be at stake in the long run

December -Feb months are the worst. which is a shame when the nights; with calm sea and moon, are spectacular and a peaceful to view from this corner of the world, yet the smell can be terrible, if not for the health of Antalya inhabitants.

I understand the pollution is due to greenhouses burring coal and any other matter on hand that they can find (that is cheap), to keep greenhouses temperatures high, encouraging agriculture growth (fruit and veggies).

Hope this matter can be addressed at soonest. I not want to return with this bad air in these months.

The old Marina is set at the foot of Kaleici old town in Antalya. Passing a picturesque bazaar you descend a steep hill via alleys or steps and reach the horseshoe shaped marina.
During the day many boat excursions start from here, while at night it's more relaxing with cafes and restaurants you can visit.

The marina is beautiful, also the old town with the bazaar. The only flaw is the Turks. Be careful of the person selling ice cream doing stunts with the cone. After a few minutes of spinning the cone with the ice cream, playing magic tricks with the unfortunate person, he then takes out a piece of paper and says he wants 300 LT equal to around 10 euros. He says for show. We had 3 children and he played 3 games….so 900 LT. A scam because there is no sign that says this. He displays a paper at the end. He responded badly to my complaints. We had to give him the money.
Watch out!!

During my recent visit I took the time to view the old marina had a drink in one of the cliff side cafes overlooking the boats, restaurants &shops below. Even though we were visiting in January the sea was calm the sun shining and the atmosphere relaxing. Watching the boats out at sea and gliding back into the sheltered harbour. Wish I had more time to wonder around the water front but definitely next time.

The Old city marina, boat launch, seafood restaurants and the local feel of a marina that has been here for a long time. This is the place to get your seafood grove on with shrimp the size of small birds. 😮 trust me I seen them myself, enjoy, also most tour launch from this spot for waterfall trips.

The marina is a well resored area where the ancient and first harbour of the cıty was located. Use your imagination to see the pebbly beach where trıremes would have been pulled up and Roman cargo boats loading and offloading wonder things from all over the empire. There are many cafes for a cold drink and fish restaurants for seafood. The old town is quite atmospheric.

Access to the marina is steep. Once there, the nice setting is rather ruined by the number of tour boats offering trips. The setting could be really nice but they haven't made the most of it. Usual cheap tourist tat and restaurants.

We got a taxi here from Lara Beach and it was well worth it.
The marina is really picturesque and you can get to the old town easily from there.
There’s lots of shops nearby although you literally get hounded to go in them all which can get a bit annoying when all you want to do is have a browse/ stroll pass.

The port of Antalya is a truly charming and pleasant place. Of course, it looks prettiest from above, but when we go down, we see lots of winding streets with shops, etc. I recommend finding cafes with a view of the entire port and enjoying the view and, of course, the atmosphere. Trips are also organized from the port.
