About
Located east of Antalya, Lara Beach is one of Turkey’s most expansive beaches, home to waterfront hotels, restaurants, bars, and entertainment options. Although some sections belong to the hotels, the western end of the beach is free to enter. Families love the shallow, crystalline waters and clean shores that are great for swimming. You can enjoy water activities like jet skiing, paragliding, snorkeling, and banana boat rides too. There are also public barbecue areas and sunbeds available to rent for a small fee.
Lara Beach is great for a sun-kissed getaway, but be mindful of summer crowds.

- RaniGreater London, United Kingdom10 contributionsVery poor beachThis is not a very nice beach - gravel sand, stones, pebbles on the beach and in the water. The resorts have set up their sunbeds etc. but I was very disappointed - this beach is a shuttle from the Ramada, surrounded by cheap shops and malls. Unfortunately the cynic in me would say... that's why the all inclusive package is so cheap. SorryVisited June 2023Written June 23, 2023
- walktheearthslowly23 contributionsLots of room for improvement.Postives: Long beach, warm sea, scenic night views and shower facilities. Negatives: Crowded, rubbish on beach, dogs roaming on beach, witnessed people having sex in sea. Drunken women been propositioned in early hours of morning. People camping and living on beach with tents and worst of all "private" section of beach fenced off. Including Buzz Beach where the one armed turkish pirate wanted to charge me 120tl for swimming infront of his resturant in the early hours of the morning !Visited July 2023Written August 4, 2023
- NisliZurich, Switzerland53 contributionsDisappointing!!This is probably the biggest disappointment of our stay in Antalya. The pictures imply s beautiful sandy beach but we found that the public part is dirty as a garbage dump, no white sandy beach but gravel. On top, they charge you so much money for sunbeds (in the dirt!). On the positive side, you can easily reach the beach by bus. However, I cannot recommend, unless you are staying in one of the hotels (that’s supposed to be different).Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 19, 2023
- 20242 contributionsFamily holidayWe were really confused by the discrepancy between google reviews and trio advisor reviews. It did make us worry a bit as only saw the bad google reviews after. Towards the end of our stay I was asked to do a trip advisor review and she sat and watched me type (actuslly took my phone off me and set up it up and told me what to write) The hotel was good and there were many good parts. Travelling with kids and baby . My husband says he would go back but personally I think after spending £5000 on a family holiday I would expect a bit better. The noise was so loud in our room and this went on til 12am some nights. Given that my main reason to go away was to catch up on sleep with our baby it didn’t happen as it made it hard to put her to sleep. Sound proof glass would have been better. The buffet was very repetitive food very oily and salty One night it was so salty we couldn’t give it to our kids so ended up just letting them have chocolate ice cream for dinner Like another review has said if there was one or two nights a la carte included like other all inclusive hotels do this would have been appreciated as we didn’t really get to all sit together. One waiter kept asking for tips , which we did want to give but didn’t always carry change on us as staying all inclusive it took the stress off having to carry around. When we had tipped the waiter he did make special effort the next day to set our table with flowers and have a bottle of wine on the table ( red wine was not nice ) The drinks over all - good brands used but the cocktails weren’t that nice apart from the pina colada. But understandably they have to make them cost effective so isn’t goign to be the same as a drink yoj would pay £10 for in a nice pub / bar. Good things: Hotel was kept clean Nice pools Good weather Nice beach Lovely deck over the sea Convineant having water available at the beach, gym and everywhere Spa : Hammam was nice with a scrub and foam massage Easy to book in Good gym but could do with AC The rooms could also do with Better AC. We went oct nov and was too hot so don’t know how people managed in hotter months Staff were nice and friendly Easy check in and check out process Lobby bar and patisserie were nice to sit during the day when not at the pool or beachVisited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 9, 2023

Beautiful sandy beach and nice surrounding right at Lara district in Antalya. You can choose to stay on the sand and it’s free or you can get a sun bed to enjoy yourself even better . Not too crowded in October and has lots of free parking . We enjoyed it very much . .

A vast, sandy beach. Admittedly we went off season, so was fairly empty. Just some locals enjoying the sunny day. I can imagine it being busy and a nice beach to come to during the summer months. If using public transport the KL08 bus will get you here from Kaleici (Old City).

This beach is one of the best beaches in Antalya. It has free side and paid side at Palm Beach. The prices are so affordable. For a sun-bed would cost 100 turkish lira, and cabin 200 turkish lira and I will upload their menu so you can check. But I really encourage you to visit this beach.

On arrival we were met by a bell boy who was very helpful and polite, reception friendly and efficient. The rooms were tidy and clean although the bed linen had grubby marks on it and could do with regular changing, beds were made during our stay but the linen was not! One day the cleaning lady didn’t call at all which was frustrating despite a clear notice on our door. We were also only given one card key for a family of four which isn’t helpful. The food and drinks are lovely and plentiful, good choices throughout. Staff work tirelessly and are very friendly. Amenities were well kept and easily accessed. Overall I would say 4 rather than 5 star. Jet2 however was a complete nightmare, flight cancelled on the return, no vouchers for food, waited over 5 hours to be transferred to a hotel and another 2 hours to check everyone in at 04:00am. Representatives were largely absent and communication poor, the food we booked for our return was also unavailable so we had nothing to eat since lunch with no alternatives offered. Filled a compensation claim but doubt we will hear anything as online reviews show the fob you off and rarely cover the costs associated with delays! In summary lovely hotel with hard working staff, just don’t use Jet2

Good quiet sandy beach with a beautiful Duden Waterfalls Park. Good restaurants nearby serving delicious Turkish food with affordable price. The Lara Hotel located on the cliff with a stunning sea view and private beach. The draw back of this resort is the taxi fare is expensive and the driver is dishonest and the traffic tram to Antalya centre is terrible.

Turkey is my 29 country I have see and I have to say Lara beach is not on top on my list. If you like busy, crowded and noisy places then perhaps it is for you. Water is clean, but beach is with dark sand and unfortunately people leave cigarettes buts in them. There are just huge hotels on Lara beach and is so far away from the old town. We took a bus to old town and it took more then 1hr 20 min. Overall ok, but nothing special and I wouldn't come back.

In last November 2019, i visited this scenic beauty. I found this beach very beautiful, serene and calm. Because of cold weather, very few people were there, however the serenity attracted me too much and i would like to see this place again and again.

Can you snorkel in lara beach

Yes, most of the time when we were there the water was really calm so snorkeling is possible. However I don't think there's a lot to see underwater as there's not many rocks or seaweed.

Anyone know a nice quiet hotel in Lara Beach, don’t mind music playing, just not rave music, from hotel or ones on either side, just back from Baia Lara , and the music from liberty next door was so loud, along with music from Baia, it was anything but relaxing,
Thankyou

Booked to stay in Trendy Lara in Antalya first week of April. Just wondering what the weather is usually like this time of year, is it likely to be warm during the day? What would you suggest packing etc.

We are planning booking for next October but wondered what the area is like outside the hotel? Are there many shops/markets/restaurants in walking distance? We like to get out each day so we don’t want to be too far out. Thanks
