Great authentic hamam! Who needs to speak to anyone?
Feb 2020 • Solo
This is a great authentic place and for 100tl (scrub, soap wash hamam and oil massage) it’s well worth it! Lovely staff and who cares if they don’t speak english? We are in turkey and it’s an authentic hamam, who says they have to speak english?
I had a great 45 min full body massage and some ladies sang whilst having their hamam and scrub which added to the lovely experience. If you want a tourist hamam with english speakers, pay rip off prices in your hotel and yes get what you pay for if that’s a conversation!

Not the best experience ...
Sep 2019 • Solo
Had the basic hammam this afternoon.
The facilities are centrally located in Antalya.

I also booked a full body massage and whilst the therapist had good technique and pressure she didn’t speak at any point!

There seemed to be a communication problem as I was under the impression that I was booking a full body massage, but only had the back of the body massaged, when I queried this with the cashier I was told that is a full body massage!!

My hotel had several recommendations for other local hammams and I wish I had of gone with one of those...

You get what you pay for...

As the title suggests! We paid 70 Turkish Lira per person for a Turkish Bath and massage and the cheap price reflected the service we got. Though the hospitality was good, no one spoke English so communication was not only an issue, it was non existent. Once we changed we did not know where to go and were just stood awaiting instruction. After asking where to go, the staff member simply pointed to a room. We figured out for ourselves where to go. We were in the sauna for as long as we were comfortable and we got out and signalled to the staff that we were ready for the bath itself. It took them 15 minutes *after* this for them to bathe us. We we were then taken to the massage room which wasn’t particularly clean and the massage itself was very rough and painful for both of us. I’d avoid this place and just get it done at your hotel!

The women's side was authentic and excellent!
We didn't need any common language while the ladies guided us firmly and friendly. Their hands knew our bodies and they took care of us professionaly. They smiled and one lady sang a little quietly. We loved that!

Don't go. Avoid please save your money

Don't go avoid please save your money. I should have not gone but I gave them the benefit of the doubt following the second bad review. Sauna was cold. They don't speak English and bad customer service. Scrub yourself in the shower in your hotel it is better for you trust me.there were no tourists apart from me and no locals.

A disappointment
Oct 2014 • Couples
We read the other single review on Trip Advisor for this Hamam which was postive for the womens' side. That reviewer's experience was very different to ours on the mens' side.

Firstly, the prices as advertised at the front of the Haman were not what was offered. We were two customers - one wanted just to relax in the sauna and hamam, the other wanted the "heat" and an oil massage. The initial price, contrary to advertised was 140 TL - we neded up paying 80 TL.

The sauna was not turned on at all - it was stone cold - we were told on enquiry that it was only heated until 2pm (we were at the Bath house at 5pm by the way!) and it is open until 11pm. The hot stone room was not well decorated and not hot enough compared to other Hamami in Istanbul. The showers were (frankly) smelly as was the toilet. The oil massage lasted 15 minutes top - and when questioned we were told that a longer massage would be more expensive - make sure you negotiate the time as well as the cost of the massage fellow readers.

On the whole we were disappointed - we felt based on a previous review that this hamam might be a little less touristy - well it was! There was no one else there locals or tourists - for the 50 minutes of our visit at all. Locals know how to choose a good hamam and it was not this one. A hard lesson learned at our cost. We do not recommend this hamam in Antalya at all (at least on the mens' side).

I would like to go again
Apr 2014
Few meters away from the Hadrian's gate. Well located, next to old city, and tramway.
I tried the hamam with peeling and soap massage, a great moment. The women are separated from the men. Opened until 9pm.
The lady takes her time with you and take care of you.
I paid 25TL and it last 25minutes. Don't forget the tips since the service is really nice. Ended with a tea.
I recommend it !
