Old Bazaar
About
The Antalya Bazaar, also called the Old Bazaar, is Antalya's main marketplace. Here, you can stroll through the narrow alleys that are jam-packed with vendors selling handcrafted items, leather goods, cotton ware, and exquisite jewelry. It's a shopper's paradise where you can find unique gifts like Ottoman turbans, Turkish eye amulets, and flavorful spices. The market also has tea trays, pots, and plates for sale. For a unique experience, visit this buzzing market as part of an electric scooter tour. The market is only open on certain days of the week, so check in advance before coming. – Tripadvisor

    Ramada Resort Lara Antalya
My 11yr old daughter and I went to Antalya to bring in the new year and we arrived at our hotel on the evening of the 30th December 2023 and stayed until 4th January 2024, the activities that the arranged for New Year’s Eve was spectacular and they catered extremely well for kids. We stayed at The Ramada Resort Lara and the every member of staff that we encountered was amazing. The food was delicious, the bar staff were courteous. We had an amazing time, shops were within walking distance and the area was safe. Will definitely recommend it.

Great shopping. Going back next Year.
I spent the whole month of May touring Türkiye with my wife. We spent 12 days in Istanbul, 7 days in Izmir, 7 days in Antalya, then 4 days in Cappadocia. There are bazaars all over Türkiye. The Old Bazaar, and Egyptian Bazaar in Istanbul are great to experience. Best shopping deals are along the streets that surround any bazaar. The bazaar in Izmir’s old town is all outside, large, and easy to get to at the center of town. I purchased great deals on watches. Textiles, and copper are great buys there. All the locals shop there. A good sign. Antalya has a great street where copper shops are located just outside the old town. Got great deals there. We loved shopping Cappadocia. Beautiful, soft, durable, high quality table cloths, towels, clothes with striking designs.

    So many shops
I know it is quite stressful when they insist on you coming into their shops to look at their stuff. We went through and just tell them 'maybe later'. But just make sure you don't walk past their shops the 2nd time as they do remember you. Avoid the Treffpunkt Cafe Time. A cola cost 6 euros!

    Nice place to walk around
We went for a bit of a shopping day to buy souvenirs as we were an hours drive away. We hired a car and went to the market in the old town. Good selection of souvenirs. Negotiate on EVERYTHING. Nice place to walk around. Had a nice lunch on the marina. We went on a very hot day and it was hard to walk around in the heat. But we did enjoy it

Great place for people watching and feel the the hustle and bustle of a very crowded shopping street. Shops here sell similar items so make sure you compare prices between shops before purchase. Another tip...Stay away from the Turkish ice cream vendors, unless you do not mind paying 10€ for 2 scoops of ice cream.

Lots of stores. Lots of fake goods as well as local goods. Difficult to locate as the entrance is hidden among loads of shops. You should specifically ask for Old Bazaar/market. Starting price will be very high. Don’t be shy to bargain. 1000 lira was agreed to 400 without much haggling, probably worth much less. Good fun if you like shopping.

Nice Bazaar - lots to shop and lots to see. You can haggle with the store owners here - start low and find a price that works for you. So many shops - we enjoyed visiting as much as we could

A mixed bag. There are a couple of good traders selling nice spices and Turkish coffee pots etc, but unfortunately 90% of the traders are selling fake branded goods at massively inflated prices. We tried to buy some small rugs and the seller wanted over 2700TL. They weren't the best quality and certainly not worth anything like that. We eventually bought a much better quality rug from a shop in the Old Town for 800TL (£35) and this was reasonable value for the standard of workmanship.

Selling products by on double price so please feel free to haggle. No idea what some sellers are thinking trying to sell fakes almost same price as originals. There are no prices written. Almost all asking to pay in cash. Many sellers very disturbing. Check quality before you are buying. Never found a working times of mkt.

Ok bazaar to walk around and do some shopping, but didn’t love it. Didn’t seem to have a lot of variety and prices didn’t seem cheap.

Normally when you do some shopping in places like this you feel like bargains are all around you but didn’t get that vibe with this bazaar.

Located in central location good to walk around. Good mixture of stalls and fixed shops.

Beware of food and drinks at Cafe kristal in the center of the old bazaar. We were charged 4 euro for a coffee and 3 euro for a turkish tea. They will rip you off. The man is the picture is the one to avoid. Be careful.

We stayed at Lara beach and fancied a day in Antalya.
We caught the bus , it was amazing. Such a great experience at the bazaar so many stalls such a vibrant place full of tourists and locals.
Got some Great bargains. The people selling were really friendly and helpful but not too aggressive with the sale.
We had a 7and 15 with.
Also visited the old town which was amazing.

During our holiday in Turkey we booked a great resort just south of the city Antalya. As with the majority of our vacations we like to discover the surrounding area around each resort during our resort stay.
This trip was no different, but what we discovered was a very beautiful; historic and quite unique city called: Antalya.
We flew into this city and unfortunately we did not see too much of the city on our ride to our beach resort some 40 kilometers south of the city’s airport.
We spend our third day exploring the great city from a really fascinating high Water Falls to a very charming Old City area right on the sea. The city also had an old tram or trolley line still operating today. Also, as one would expect there are a great many seafood restaurants along the sea front.
The city’s Düden Water Falls was very, very interesting.
I also enjoyed strolling through the Old Roman City called Kateici and the seaport.
The other great sites within Antalya and are all must see locations are: Hadrian’s Gate; Hidirlik Tower and the beautiful Vivli Mosque and Minaret.
So the next trips to the “Turkish Riviera” don’t forget to visit the major city called: Antalya…You will not be disappointed…Trust Me…
