The Karaalioglu park has just one speciality and this is the view. You have a great view to the see and the mountains. From the park you can walk to the harbour through the old city and see the small streets and the old houses.

Beautiful park with magnificent view. 1. If you are into history, you can see the Hidirlik Tower, a fortress which was built by the Romans in the 2nd Century CE. It is just a normal fotress but it fills the park with historical atmosphere. 2. If you are into photography, definitely bring your camera over there. You can take a panoramic pictures of the ocean in the park. 3. If you are into eating, there are also several places to eat in the park. 4. Enjoy :)

The park area starts from the cliff next to Hidirlic tower and extends lazily on the clifftop for about 400m. Walking along the wide pedestrian road, under the high shadowy pine trees, you have the bright blue sea on one side and the beautiful green park on the other. At the background of the blue, gray mountain picks rise, while on the other side, the green "painting" extends to a depth of 400m to the city limits, interrupted by cafes, tea houses, playing grounds, small pathways. A relaxing place not to be missed!

Karaalioglu Park (a.k.a. Karaalioğlu Parkı) is a large park on the south west side of Kaleiçi (old town). Perched on a promontory overlooking the Mediterranean, it offers expansive views of the Gulf of Antalya, the Taurus Mountains to the west, and magnificent sunsets. At the northwest corner, the ancient fortress of Hıdırlık Tower overlooks the Roman harbor. The park has paved paths, flower beds, formal plantings, and benches. A monument to Nâzım Hikmet (a Turkish poet, playwright and novelist), a statue of Don Quixote, the Worker and Son monument, the Hand sculpture and the Frog sculptures are in the park. Cafes, restaurants and shops surround the park. After the hustle and bustle of Kaleiçi, I most enjoyed sitting on a bench and gazing out over the incredible blue of the Mediterranean. Karaalioglu Park is open at all times with no entry fee; it is easily reached on foot or by tram.
