Overall, it's nothing interesting. A normal port with a lighthouse, surrounding infrastructure, shops and restaurants. There's not even much to write about because nothing particularly captivated me. If we are a little higher, there are very nice views, but nothing more.

Alanya is a resort town on the Mediterranean coast with warm sun and tangerines. There are many historical, cultural and natural attractions, mosques, cafes and shops in Alanya. I recommend trying the local Anatolian cuisine and going to the sea port.

There are too much fun with serenity. Too many people from different countries fun together and smiling to each other. Warm Turkish culture makes you happy.

Are we a commodity to be used and abused. This was the worst experience of our visit to Turkey. We had booked a romantic moonlight dinner cruise. Many families with young children on board. After setting off the night club music belowed, no romance was engendered. My youngest son is autistic and not coping with the noise we asked if they could turn it down or change it to something less noisy, this they refused to accommodate. The dinner came which resembled two chicken nugets, pasta and salad with bread. Very bland, no choice and poor quality. Then came a belly dancer sexualising herself with the young teenage boys on board. How inappropriate for family entertainment. We were offered drinks and told they were complimentary, however at the end of the trip a rather aggressive thug demanded money from us. Do not use this company.

We bought tickets from an agency in Konakli. The man promised us a fun day for the family including dolphin show, swimming and face painting.
Well, it was disappointing. There were no dolphins and if you wanted to swim, you had to jump into the middle og the ocean! Not for kids! The entertainment was tasteless garbage with disgusting sexual jokes, leaving the kids embarrassed.
The lunch was boring and the face painting? A man ran around with old red and black office pens and drew lines on kids' faces! Are you serious?
Also the trip was bumpy, and many kids got sea sick. Stay away!

The harbour is great for shopping as long as you don't mind getting hassled (designer goods at cheap prices) no doubt they are fake but very good quality. Almost every shop sells the same - you will need to barter and will get it for 1/2 the asking price. Few bars and restaurants too but we thought it was quite quiet - but we were probably there too early. The boats are lovely but we didn't think it was worth doing as you literally just go the length of Kleopatra beach and back again with a 2 hour lunch break in a small marina with nothing to see (approx 15 Euros each)

If you fancy a very fast and effective tan then there's nothing like a tan under the hot sun with a constant breeze of fresh air to keep you cool. This is definitely achievable when you take a boat ride in the harbor.
Excellent value, a group of 7 people including 3 children cost £65. You have free soft drinks on board and a light meal included. The boat takes you to some interesting caves, and allows you to jump off and explore the caves which are 20 metres high once you are inside. All in all time went by quick and was definitely good value for money.

Some nice little restaurants and bars together with a lively shopping area. Unfortunately, most of the shops sell the same sort of knockoff perfumes, handbags and T-shirts and the shopkeepers pester you incessantly. The Castle is well worth a visit and a tour in a taxi for an hour or two will only set you back 10 or £15 for four people.

We went to the harbour which is lovely, to book a trip on the Black pearl 3. We had heard great things. We paid a deposit on the Friday for a trip on the Sunday. When we arrived on the Sunday we were told we could only go on its sister boat, which was very tatty and not the Pirate ship we chose, very disappointed and felt ripped off. The staff on board tried constantly to chat up all the young girls including my daughter which was very uncomfortable. If you want to book a boat trip go in person on the day and check out exactly which boat you are sailing on

Hi all, I just wanted to know which would be the best to stay for a few week, either Antalya or Alanya. Never been neither of them and I am undecided Thanks.

We stayed in alanya and we loved it. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. We are definitely going back.

Сорри.... только учимся))) Расписание всего морского транспорта подчинено нескольким правилам - по времени отходят пиратские баркасы с заранее проданным заполнением отельных гостей, остальные - по мере набора туристов.

Hello. Is there grand bazar in alanya like in Istanbul. And is there an outlet mall or a good mall from where we can buy good brands at best prices.
Written August 24, 2017
There are 2 Bazaars. One is 2 streets up from the harbour and the other is by the dolmus station. Not as big as Istanbul but plenty of choice.
Written August 25, 2017
There are markets most days, Log onto Alanya Markets. A veg market is next to the Dolmus Terminus on Saturdays and the Bazaar is in close proximity.
