Having been told by a taxi driver in Alanya that we must visit Dimcay we took a taxi there a couple of days later.
From Alanya it was €30, around TL550.
After looking at reviews and speaking to a few locals we plumped for Pinarbasi, hearing it was the best.

On entering you’re helped tour your ‘booth’ sitting on the river or up on the cliff face. There’s a big choice of where to sit; shade or sun, high or low.

We sat overlooking a wharf, a little noisy but with a good view. We were brought the menu and ordered the breakfast, a huge array of wonderful goodies. The cheeses and jams were especially nice.

After eating we chilled out, reading and drinking; watching others jump into the icy cold water pools.

It’s somewhere we’d never expected seeing or going to but it’s a must if you’re in Alanya and go to Pinarbasi.

From the caves terrace up the hill where're the Dim Caves (read that review) you can see this inviting place by the Dimcay river, set in lush greenery.
From the caves it's a 15 min drive to reach this place with nice picturesque restaurant set there with some slides into the freezing water. Great place to cool and relax with a drink/meal after the caves visit.

One of the most eye-opening restaurants I have ever seen. It’s built and floats on a stream using wooden beams on top of empty barrels. Ingenious idea, amazing service can’t fault it. An oasis in the desert

Coming here for a couple years and the restaurants are offering less and less quality for more money. Especially Göl piknik. This year i swear never to go this place again, in 2015 we wee there first time, it was great. But then it went downhill with this year being the bottom for us. Terrible food, rubbish service but expensive for turkish standard. Thrown out 500TL for disgusting food, even the fries are served cold. I told the garson he took the fries and put them back in the oil to warm them up and brought the same fries warmed up back.

We visited Dim Cay which was attached to the Paradise restaurant.
Food was amazing and reasonably priced.
Guys walk around with parrots 🦜 and take pics so you can just them.
€5 each for a photo.
The water is absolutely freezing as it comes straight from the Glacier. We couldn’t stay in the water for long as it was freezing right through to the bone.
Will visit again. Slides and more

The visit took place in Octover. Beautilfull weather. We took the Taci - the driver proposed nice trip around the lake, Fantastic views. We took some "cafe" at the end of the road, the very far beginning of the lake. Then we wnet back toward Alanya, where all the restarants were locates. Very special and bautiful place, we were sitting "on the water" eating local turkish food. The place is more than "a must" to visit. you will be nicely supprosed.

If you're going to visit Dim çay go there with car or a tourbus. Because the best of Dim çay is behind all turist places. The great lake behind the huge pond wall is so beautiful to go around.
