Linguistics and History. [SApadèrë] SAPA (off the beaten track) DERE (stream, brook) – the hidden brook – which is indeed what it was, until 2008 when the Alanya [aLANja] Municipality constructed a wood-paved gangway/footbridge in the narrow S-N gorge. The gangway ends at a picturesque waterfall of about 4-5 meter in height, after a leisure-walk (though slightly uphill) of 800... More

There are daily trips to this canyon each day in the form of jeep safaris. Enjoyable fun to be had but be prepared to get soaked and of course to soak others as throwing water at each other is an expected part of the trip. The canyon itself is a moderate walk with spectacular scenery

We spend a morning in the canyon and took a dip in the river. Very nice views and refreshing swim on a hot day. We also had a nice lunch at the restaurant.

Visited Sapadere with the family. The place was easy to find and not too far away from Konakli. The restaurant at the beginning of the trail does not earn for stars, as it was only mediocre (found a hair in my salad, and not from the head...) but the canyon itself was really nice and worth a visit.

This was by far the best trip I have ever been on. Even my 3 year old enjoyed it. The waterfalls were breath taking and the food was lovely too. The ice cold water was amazing to plunge in to. Only thing they don't tell you is the cave and canyon are an additional 10 turkish lira. After already paying... More
