Beautiful Suspension Bridge

What makes this bridge special is the the walking lane. If you are lucky a 700 foot freighter will pass under during your walk. A truly spectacular view!

We went driving towards Thousand Islands and we crossed the river via Thousand Islands Bridge: the views are dramatic, and especially first time you drive it is awesome! However, we drove it again at it was spectacular too. As it is high, you get a panoramic view of the river and the islands, really beautiful.

Since I'm not find of heights I didn't look well enough but from what I saw it was beautiful - seeing all those small islands on a clear sunny day was great. Bridge lanes were kind of narrow.

This is the first bridge one crosses on the way to Canada. This bridge takes you to Wellesley island in the US. There are restaurants and cottages on Wellesley along with 2 state parks and golf courses. You can walk across the bridge from either end in the summer . The view from the top is great. There is a... This was a bridge consisted of two identical bridges on the Canadian and US side. You can't really see much over the bridge while driving. Really wish they advertised where you may be able to pull over to take pictures of the bridge for it seemed there were several places near the bridge and Alexandria Bay that have models of... More

It is hard to get pictures while driving over it but if you walk up the sidewalk you can get amazing photos. It is a stunning view of the River.

Traffic was not bad got right through the toll. They need to make the bridge ezpass user friendly. It would make the trip easier.

While researching a day trip I ran into confusion over the Thousand Islands Bridge and 1000 Islands Tower. Many people seem to believe 1000 Islands Tower is on the US side because they have to cross the Thousand Islands Bridge. This is not the case. One part of the T.I. Bridge connects the Canadian mainland of the 1000 Islands area... More

We were feeling brave and a bit bored. We decided to park the car and take the walkway across the entire bridge. Everyone needs to do it. The views are breathtaking. If you are afraid of heights, it's best not to try it. This is a very high bridge. It's always fun when a semi truck is passing by and... More
