Phuket Sail Tours is a family run business with over 14 years experience in Phuket, Krabi and Khao Lak. We have speed boats, a big tour boat and a sail boat. We offer a range of high quality tours to Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay. We keep the number of guests on each tour low, we do not over crowd our boats. Activities include snorkeling, canoeing, caving, swimming, beach picnics, relaxing and more. All year round. We have sought the best places and know how to avoid the crowds. Our tours can only be booked directly with us, we do not work through any agents. We hope to see you aboard!

A group of 20 cruise-ship passengers got together and booked the private Krabi islands snorkel trip. What a day! We were picked up on time in two big newer minivans and transported to the dock. They were cold refreshments waiting for us.
We stopped at three Beaches for swimming, canoeing and jumping off the boat into Deepwater. One snorkel spot, the snorkeling wasn’t super clear but there were definitely a lot of fish and we were very glad to Have the opportunity to snorkel.
The food prepared on board for us was amazing. There was an early snack of french fries and fried chicken, a gigantic lunch with too much to list and fresh fruit on our way back to port. Everything was fresh, tasty and delicious.
The young Boatsman who canoed us into the beaches were fun and very strong. The boat itself was big. It was licensed for 40 people but we decided to hold the group at 20 so we’d have plenty of room. The bathrooms were clean, there was plenty of shade.
The communication from Mark and his staff before the trip was excellent. Each one of us had such a great day, I do not hesitate to recommend Mark. His company takes great pride in delivering more than we expected at a very reasonable price.

Hello Lynne. Sam and I are really pleased you enjoyed our Discover Krabi Islands big boat tour. We don't often get the chance to run the tour, so it is great to know you had a good time. We would run the tour more often if we could get more people to book it. It is a great way to go snorkeling, in the comfort of the big boat and at a relaxed pace.

We did the Koh Phi Phi by speedboat trip on January 21. The whole day was really well organised, from pickup at Karon Beach (on time, around 06:15 am), transport to the departure point, breakfast, payment at their office, and the trip itself. Our crew were very helpful, going beyond what I expected, even taking our shoes ashore at lunch time and having them ready for when we disembarked. The lunch provided was awesome, I felt guilty because there was so much we couldn't eat it all. The best thing about the trip was there were only 8 passengers, we saw other boats which were quite crowded. I'd highly recommend doing a trip with Phuket Sail, we will do another one next time we visit Phuket.

Shout out to Captain Mark, Captain Jack, and our guide Wai (spelling? haha)! First off we took their sunset tour out to James bond island and ended up seeing way more than we expected. From trips to a variety of these amazing lagoons inside these islands, hanging with monkeys, mud skippers, even bats! What was nice is we went later in the day so we basically had these locations to our self. A real contrast to the common sight of so many tourists at signature locations. After the sunset we chat with the crew and ended up going the next morning to Phi Phi island. This was an AM tour that took us to some great spots for snorkeling and beach relaxing. We had a big lunch at a nice restaurant (all included on the tour) and overall always felt like we had food, drink, smiles, and a good time throughout. The team here has been around for quite some time and it shows why - they really do their best to make sure your day out is great. So having experienced their big boat, and their speedboat - I can say you're bound to enjoy your self on both!

Excellent Day. Got picked up from the hotel in aircon van. Then started with some breakfast at the office including ham and cheese toasties, tea, coffee, bananas etc
We went on 'big boat' and it was very spacious due to there being only 5 of us on it! We were taken past the most popular viewing points such as the spot from James Bond film and got pictures in front of them in the boat, but didn't stop at them. Then we were taken off the beaten track to some beautiful and peaceful spots for swimming and exploring amazing caves. Saw some Jellyfish so be careful.
My brother got to use an individual canoe whereas I let the guide paddle me round.
The nice guide told us about what was there as we went through caves and into open lagoons.
At certain points of the trip snacks and drinks were provided including chicken and chips, fresh fruit and then a Thai lunch, which was very tasty.
Overall great experience.

Hi there World. I am happy to read that you had an excellent day on our Secrets of Phang Nga Bay speed boat tour. The canoeing is really special, particularly the hidden lagoons.
Now I know who has been using my red racy canoe, I am glad your brother had fun in it. I spend hours in the canoe, it is the best way to enjoy some of the special places in the bay.

We hired Phuket Sail Tours (PST) for consecutive tours of the Phang Nga Bay by speedboat and Phi Phi Islands by speedboat. From the hotel pick up to drop off, everything about this touring company was easy and fun. Our guide, Whay, was incredible! This is a great way to see the BEAUTIFUL southern area of Thailand. Our plans called for us to leave Phuket at the end of our second day with PST and stay on Koh Yao Yai. The team offered to drop us off at the Koh Yao Yai pier at the end of our tour. This was above and beyond our expectations and saved us much additional travel/taxi fares. We cannot recommend this group highly enough!!

Myself and my partner booked onto Captain Marks sailing tour to Phang Nga Bay as a New Years eve celebration. Leaving our booking to very last minute (night before), we were made up at how accommodating the team were at allowing us to join the trip. We were on a larger boat that could hold up to 40 pax however there were only 8 of us in total (many other boats that day had full boats which looked cramped).
The tour itself was fantastic. We had multiple stopping points where we were encouraged to disembark on canoes and explore the different bays, cave systems and lagoons. All navigated by the friendly boat crew who made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Breakfast and lunch were both served onboard and were very tasty - traditional home cooked Thai.
I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see the highlights of the bays/islands surrounding Phuket by a crew who are very conscious of avoiding busy peaks and other boats to ensure you get the best possible experience. Thank you again!

We did the Explore Phang Nga Bay tour and really enjoyed the day. The tour was well organized, made really worthwhile stops and a small group as promised. The tour was very well timed in that we always arrived at locations before they became crowded. The sights were very well curated and made for a day where we had a varied experience. Additionally, the speedboat was smooth, which was a relief as someone who is prone to seasickness. I would highly recommend this tour provider.

We had booked originally through Club Champagne but they cancelled on us so we booked this tour due to being known to have small groups on the boat. This tour blew away all of our expectations and more. Awesome crew, small group with only 10 total guests on the speedboat, snacks and drinks provided, awesome stopping points where they explained plenty of interesting facts, and just a fun day exploring the islands. We got to explore some caves, kayak around some lagoons, quick photos at James Bond Island, explore a fishing village where we ate an awesome lunch, and stopped at a couple small beaches for snorkeling and swimming. It might be a bit more expensive than some other tours offered, but the money is well worth it for the fun experience and incredible service provided.

We (family with a kid) had a splendid time visiting Pha Ng Bay, Sea Canoeing and Sea Cave exploration with Phuket Sail Tours (PST) on Dec 29. Our trip was arranged last minute (with a return flight that day) but everything from hotel pick up to drop off at the airport by PST was just perfect.
Communication on Whatsup with Cap Mark and with team on email: very prompt and clear which helped us a lot.
Hotel pick up and drop off: driver arrived ahead of time, was a pleasant guy and helped with the luggage.
Refreshments at PST office: adequate
Trip in big boat: just had the right number of people (not packed like sardines like some others) so we had ample space to move around, interact and take photographs.
Boat crew and guide: caring and interactive so never felt how time flew in 1 hour of sailing - my daughter injured her leg and fingers stepping on a sea shell or rock when she went into the water in the beach. The paddling team was quick to react and canoe her quickly back into the boat and apply the necessary first-aid. They were also very careful with taking us in the canoe and during the sea cave exploration. The guide was very interactive explaining everything during the sail.
Food on big boat: refreshments, drinks all offered. lunch was freshly cooked food, which all of us enjoyed. Upon reaching home, my daughter asked her mom to cook the fish that she had while on the boat.
Highly recommend Phuket Sail Tours for anyone who wishes to visit the islands.
Overall, a wonderful experience with fond memories which we all still talk about and will cherish this life time.

We enjoyed very much our trip. Everything lived up to our expectations - the stunning Phi Phi islands, the beaches and lagoons, the lunch, the snorkeling, the service. It was the highlight of our vacation in Phuket. It may be a little bit more expensive than other tours, but definitely worth the money - the boat was not crowded, the personnel was professional and knowledgeable, we were very satisfied with the experience.

I have rad some horrendous bad reviews.
And all you do is make excuses and blame the persons that review.
The remedy is clear: your Thai staff is out of control and destroying your reputation by treating paying customers badly.
The remedy is clear sack these rubbish staff and stop being a wimp, or go out of business and be a broke wimp.

Hi Duygu. The speed boat we use for the Phang Nga Bay has a passenger capacity of 30 people. We don't go over 18 guests on that boat. Occasionally we have 20 guests, at which time we use a speed boat licensed for 45 passengers. Never more than 20 adults aboard, usually much less.
Our price includes transfers both ways, over all of Phuket.

Hello Praveen. I do not recommend you try to visit Phang Nga Bay and the Phi Phi Islands in the one day. They are a long way apart and you will spend a lot of time bouncing around in a speed boat. If you really want to do this we can provide such a tour as a private charter, the cost would be close to 50,000 baht because of the distance involved.
I suggest you consider either a trip to Phang Nga Bay, or Phi Phi, and allow one day. Or, take both tours, over 2 days. As join in tours the cost will be much less.

Hi Abbey. If you want a budget tour of Phi Phi it would be best to take the ferry to Phi Phi and organise a trip around nearby places for swimming, snorkeling and sightseeing.
If you want a great experience it will cost more. Our prices are around 4,000 baht for adults, 2,000 for children and infants free. this includes everything from pick up at your resort until return to your resort at the end of the day. No more to spend.

Hi Mark, We are a couple travelling to Phuket + Krabi in the last week of February 2020. My wife is 5.5 months pregnant at the time so wanted your opinion on what is the best way to experience the islands around krabi / phi phi / phuket in a safe manner? Doctors have recommended to avoid speedboats altogether. Look forward to hearing from you! Thanks in Advance!

Hi Ak. If you want to see the Phi Phi Islands best to go by ferry, and if your wife feels up to it take a long tail boat to nearby places like Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon, Bamboo Island and etc.
For a trip to Phang Nga Bay we have big boat tours to Phanak Island, Hong Island, canoeing through sea caves and hidden lagoons, mangrove forest and also of course James Bond Island. These are ideal for your wife, and the canoeing is very safe the canoes will not tip over and a paddle man does the work. Easy enough to get in and out of he canoes. There are comfortable toilets on the boat.

Hello Mark , we are a group of 12 Indians , 6 adults and 6 kids. Our kids aged between 6 years and 11 years would want to experience snorkeling and island swimming. We intend to visit Four island or Phi Phi island tour which ever you recomend which would help our kids to fulfill their wish for snorkeling. Also do you provide Indian Vegetarian food ? Thank you.

Hello Shivan, nice to hear from you. The Phi Phi trip has the best snorkeling, however often this is from the boat into deep water. Unless your kids are confident in the water this may be a problem. If they are willing to try we will do our best.
We also have a snorkeling stop on our Explore Phang Nga Bay speed boat tour, but on some days the water is not clear enough to do it well. We also have sea cave canoeing, the village on stilts and much more on this trip.
We occasionally have a big boat tour to the Krabi side of the bay. On this trip there is a bit of canoeing, beach time and usually snorkeling.
Another option is a private charter tour and we design the tour to suit the needs of your family. this is much more expensive however.

Hi Mark, my sister and I, both in our late 70,s will be in Phuket on a cruise .As time is limited, do you have a short, morning cruise where we don't have to hang around on the beach!! Just a ride around to see some of the islands. Thankyou.

Hi Ann. I am sorry but we do not have a join in half day morning tour. We can do something by private charter, but that is expensive. If you can get a group together from your ship, say by advertising on Cruise Critic, it becomes more affordable.

Hi Mark,
I am interested in the Explore Phang Na Bay speedboat tour, which includes the Kho Panyi village- however we are arriving by cruise and our pier point is Patong Beach. We would need to take a tender from the ship to shore, therefore the earliest we can meet at Patong Signature Hotel would be 8am. Is there a way we can join this tour? We have a 4yo and almost 2yo and many of the tours do not allow infants. Please let me know as we would very much like to join!

Hi there,
I’m wanting to do a private tour for 2 adults and 2 children aged 1 and 5. Wanting to go to phang nga bay and koh panyee from Phuket. I’m just wondering what sort of cost we would be looking at, I see that you do have a full day tour but because of my 1 year old I think we would want to cut a few things out as it will be too big a day. Would love to hear your suggestions.

Hi Sophie, nice to hear from you. All prices of our tours, join in and private are on our website. So are descriptions of each tour and links to a video of each tour. All our tours are available by private charter, and we can adjust the program to suit you.
Our Explore Phang Nga Bay speed boat tour includes a visit to Kho Panyi, the village on stilts.
You do not need a private tour for a small child however, our big boat tours are are ideal for children of all ages, and you can bring a stroller aboard for the little one to sleep in. The big boat tours do not go to Kho Panyi however.

Hey, I am planning to visit Phuket on 2020. Just wanted to ask if its suitable for 3 years and 7 years kids?

Hi Sujita, and thank you for your interest in our tours. All our tours are suitable for children, but some tours more than others.
The Phi Phi speed boat trip may be a problem if your little one is not confident in the water. Some of the stops are for swimming and snorkeling into the deep water. This may not suit you.
All of the trips of the bay are fine for kids. The best tours of all for small children are the big boat tours, there is room aboard to move around and you can bring a stroller aboard for the little one to sleep in. There is also room on the bench for a sleep if necessary.
