Seang Chan Beach is not visually attractive because rock groins have been built along it to stop beach erosion.
In mild tides, these groins provide little "bays" in which Thai families like to picnic and let their kids paddle in the water.

It is a long beach with a few food stalls that sell seafood and different stir fry Thai dishes. Great place for stop over and picnic while travelling about. Try not to go in the late afternoon as it would be too hot.
We walked with my coworkers to these are from the Kantary Bay hotel, it is a shame that the beach is so dirty, pollution from fishing boats and industrial.
There are a few beach side grills but we did not find them attractive.
