Crystal Waves, your preferred PADI 5 Star Dive Centre in Rawai, Phuket. We are a "real" Dive Centre with our own well maintained rental equipment, onsite training pool, and large range of retail dive equipment, not just a booking office! We offer a full range of PADI Dive Courses, daily dive trips, private charters and liveaboard trips. REVIEWS, Our trip advisor are real! We do ask friends, family our staff to post bogus reviews, we don't pay our staff a fee to pressure divers to write reviews. If you choose to write a review because you had a great experience, we very much appreciate it!

This PADI diving centre is brilliant.
I took part in the Open Water Diver course and I had such an amazing time. Miller, my instructor, was calm and very professional. He knew the dive sites really well.
I enjoyed my time diving so much that I am going to take part in the Advanced Open Water Diver course!
Cannot recommend the company enough.

We were in Rawai for a friend's wedding and arranged with our friend (also a certified dive instructor) who arrived earlier than us that we'd do a dive together. It had been a very long time since my husband and I had dived and thought it would be a good opportunity as we were travelling without our kids. As our friend was the expert, we put it in his hands to find a reputable dive company to organise the dive with. He only explored companies with a 5* PADI rating. Crystal Waves was quick to respond to enquiries and had a 'good feel' to it.
We went to the dive centre just the day before our dive to fill out the paperwork. The 3 of us ended up hanging out at the Crystal Waves bar for the rest of the night. Phil even drove us back to where we were staying after a number of beers!
Dive day started early. The Crystal Waves truck came to pick us up on time. We picked up another trio before heading to the pier. It was overall a bit manic at the pier, with lots of groups of divers trying to get onto their boats, but I would describe it as "organised chaos".
When we got onto the boat, we were quickly given a briefing and the option of sea sick tablets (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM) before heading out to our first of 3 dive sites.
The food was decent throughout the day. Beers were available after all the dives were completed at a very reasonable rate.
We were well looked after by the crew and the other instructors on board.
We had a great day even though visibility wasn't amazing!
I would definitely recommend Crystal Waves to anyone looking to do some diving in Phuket.

We have been nicely welcomed by Phil and Tom who take care very professionally of their dive center. Very helpful, comprehensive and with a customer oriented service. Even during the high season when other dive shops sounded crowded at the first contact and without much for give us to answer our questions. Crystal Waves took this time to explain and didn't pressure us to sign up as soon as possible. In a word as in a thousand ; a strongly recommended Dive Shop, with good gear, clean shop and an awesome service. Keep it up and good luck.

We were riding around looking for dive centers and this one stood out from the rest. Impressive front but don't let that decieve you. We went in and interupted the receptionist from a video call. She eventually ended the call but really wasn't happy about it.
We are all certified divers and wanted to know about the local sites. The receptionist hadn't got a clue so called in a guy called Phil. Phil was knowledgeable and we booked on for the next day.
We arrived at the dive shop on time and waited. Waited on our own. We were the only ones there. The shop was closed. Time passed and then Phil came out with our equipment. A van came to pick us up and took us to the boat.
Basically the dive shop don't have their own boat, and instead we were put on a boat with everyother dive center in phuket. It was disgustingly busy and horribly overcrowded. Not what we expected. The diving was OK but the experience wasn't.
At the end of the day, we were taken back to the dive shop and Phil didn't want to know us. He was too busy drinking beer with his friends.
Don't waste your money and dive elsewhere!

Best dive centre in Phuket.
Our instructor Andre made the day a blast and while being safe and friendly, allowed us to dive with greater autonomy as the day progressed. We saw so many incredible things underwater and thoroughly enjoyed the food that awaited as soon as we got back onto the boat after each dive.

Crystal Waves provided my kids with a professional and safe introduction into diving. As an experienced diver I can say this with confidence. We screened several dive schools prior to selecting Crystal Waves. In Southern Phuket I find they are the best choice. Not the cheapest, but discount learning would never be my advice. The kids achieved their open water certificate after 3 days of extensive training. Which would have been 4 days if the instructors found it necessary. That there was a pool (as opposed to start training from the beach) was one of the key elements, but also that the gear was in top shape. Crystal Waves is also on of the few 5 star diving schools on Phuket. Ask for Phil when making arrangements.

I took my 12 year old son for PADI OW certification and started in the pool in their Rawai centre. We had Brian as instructor and he was very thorough with all the teaching. We also had a chance to try out different equipment before we invested in some of it. The arrangement for two days open water dives were smooth and precise, and again the coaching was sounds and solid. We left with the certification and as rather confident divers.

My wife and myself took the open water diver course, and we don't regret it for a minute. Instructors very professional with many years of experience and very passionate and this is something you feel as a student. Also the accommodation is very clean and they have their own pool which is a benefit, and some top notch equipment.

I spent a 2 weeks in Phuket last month, it was incredible! Manly due to the guys at Crystal Waves. I chose to do my Advanced Open Water with them after completing my OW last year. My instructor was Tom, he really opened my eyes to how good diving can be. Also had a great laugh going out after I had completed the course.

Being my introduction to SCUBA, I was looking for the most professional, safe and organized outfit to help me breathe underwater for the first time. After leaving some other candidates, I was riding along and saw Crystal Waves' well-presented store. After heading inside, I was greeted by one of the instructors (Tom) and shown the classroom, pool and equipment we would use ( all new and well kept). I signed up on the spot. The classroom work was thorough and it was a nice advantage to step straight into the on-site pool.
My instructor for the next three days of diving would be Lolo (Laurent). He reinforced the details dive after dive and did not cut corners. This provided a great deal of comfort and confidence in my ability to manage any problems as the dives progressed.
Two points of convenience:
Firstly, Crystal Waves is only 5-10mins away from Chalong Pier where the dive boats depart. Crystal Waves will arrange pickup from your hotel or from the store in the morning. This was always on-time and comfortable.
Secondly, Crystal Waves have a great little bar by their pool where you can grab a drink with Lolo, Phil or Tom after completing your course!
As a safety-first kind of guy, I appreciated the level of expertise and professionally run outfit at Crystal Waves. I would highly recommend them and will be enhancing my diving qualifications with them in the future.
