Formerly Lawrence Scuba Diving, Denla SCUBAs head office is now located in Bangkok and serves all diving destinations in Thailand and Myanmar. The services we offer are dive guiding, discover scuba courses, scuba diver to dive master and specialty courses. All services are with a private certified Instructor who also doubles as a guide and will allow one on one or small private groups. This is of no extra charge to you the customer. We offer day trips to the many wonderful dive sites around Phuket, and multi-day liveaboard trips to the Similan Islands, Burma, Phi Phi, and Hin Dang.

I was in Phuket and wanted to try diving so a friend had recommended that I contact Lawrence. I have always wanted to try diving but was very hesitant, but after meeting Lawrence I no longer had any fears or worries as he throughly explained everything and answered all my concerns before we started. I was also pleased that he was able to work around my schedule as I only had a short time in Phuket and was arriving mid morning of the day we were to do the Discover SCUBA Dive experience. We went to a nice relaxing beach near Nai Harn where he taught me a little about SCUBA diving, shortly after we entered the water. I was so scared and panicking once under the water, but Lawrence was able to calm me down very quickly and I felt very safe and secure with him. After we finished some skills we were off and I couldn't believe that I was actually doing this. Lawrence showed me things I had only seen in aquariums and on TV we spent almost 1 hour under the water seeing all the beauty. I wanted to do another dive but as I did not have much time I was not able to; but I definitely will complete my certification. When I am ready to complete my certification there is no doubt on who I will come back to do it with. Thanks for the most memorable experience :)

It’s really important to find a guide who keeps professionalism and safety their number one priority when diving in a destination location. Lawrence does this while maintaining a fun and relaxed. I would recommend him for anyone who wants to dive, be it a beginner, or someone who’s looking for an advanced excursion.

Lawrence is an excellent dive guide, and will not hesitate to stop you, in the name of safety! I'm a new diver, and Lawrence helped me along the way, especially during the current dives. He is very knowledgeable and experienced, and loves to share his diving passion with his divers. 5 stars!!

Lawrence was amazing. He was patient, level headed & very able to have fun, He adapted to my & my dive buddy's needs without compromising safety. In the midst of fine instruction, he managed to point out & photograph some great sealife I had not the chance to see before. He was dedicated, professional & always above board honest. We were learning so much so easily with Lawrence's guidance that we accomplished multiple courses; we just couldn't give up. Off dive time, he introduced us to some great eats & sites to visit. We can't wait to book with him again. We want to try a live aboard next. Sorry to be missing the one Lawrence is on now...

Lawrence is an incredible instructor that is flexible and open minded, without sacrificing safety or material. Lawrence has a great knowledge of not only the dive sites the area has to offer, but of the town as well. He can recommend places to see and eat, when you are not in the water. Not the over-priced tourist trap with self-serving connections, but rather an honest everyday guy with a passion for diving and teaching.

I was with Lawrence for a discover scuba diving course in Dec 2012. Lawrence was attentive to detail, safety, and great to get along with. Highly recommended.

I was a on a live-aboard with Lawrence through the Similan Islands and Richelieu Rock. He has a great eye and he was able to spot some incredible nudibranch and other small life that I may not have seen otherwise.
