May seem like missing, but we spent an amazing 1 1/2 hours going round the museum. Much bigger than at first it seemed and fascinating collection. Only downside is the information sheets in the cases are fading fast so not always easy to read!! Looks like money spent on this attraction, but have never seen it advertised. A chance encounter.

A very nice collection of different types of shells. The museum is small but it packs a good amount of material.

Its easy to reach just on a main highway and the entrance fee is also very low. It has a large and full of sea related items gift shop as soon as you go in so its a good place for some gifts too. The museum itself is not really big but it has the biggest and most unusual shells... More

Good air conditioned museum in Rawai. Value of money, real high level museum! There are plenty of space and usually do not see many people inside.

Interesting place to visit, but would be a TERRIFIC place to tour if you had a real interest in sea shell life. Beautifully displayed, but some of the written cards were quite faded and difficult to read.

When we arrived at the museum, the parking lot was empty. Completely empty. Our group of 4 were alone for an hour (with exception of 2 other visitors) the entire time. As a scuba diver, I was VERY impressed with the quantity and variety of sea shells. In fact, it is the best seashell collection that I have ever seen!... More

After reading certain reviews I was a bit reluctant to go. Still, having a spare afternoon to fill-in, I have decided to pay a visit and in the end I have not regretted. The museum is located on the lower ground floor. It is quite comprehensive and well organised. I am passionate about sea shells and I had the nice... More

the shells were dusty as were the wooden artefacts - having said that we still bought some. When we arrived there were no lights on and we really needed more fans. An offer of cold water wouldn't have gone astray either.
