Didn't really like Rawai. Lots of rubbish. Very questionable water quality. Rough a lot with big rips. Won't be returning.

In this nice and cozy place you may easy rent a boat and go to any island and enjoy your time there. A unique view opens when you stand on the shore of the bay.

Great place to walk along the pavement looking at the power boards and long tail boats that line the very small sandy beach area. Not really for swimming until you get to the far end- away from the pier. At night it's a great place to stroll and watch the small restaurants running their food across the road to the... More

Beautyful view to Coral Island and with nice small authentic restaurants and bars. This is the plae to go to rent longboats or speedboats to visit some of the islands.

It's a great place to go and get your stereotypical longboat photos(if that's what you're after), but if you are looking for a beach to do much water related, Rawai wouldn't be my first choice.

Our hotel was really close to it...we took a walk thru it...found great restaurants! And make a boat reservation for Coral and Bon island (200baht/couple)...at the end they have a lovely pier and you can find the fish market....have to visit.

We hired a scooter from our hotel direct a 150 engine as there were 2 of us so thought the extra power would help on hills and it did. We saw things I'm sure we wouldn't have seen or even reached without it. Don't drive like an idiot leave that up to the locals take your time enjoy it, stop... More

Not a swimming beach at all, just fishermen with their boats and a nice pier to have a stroll on. Their is a lot of standa with fresh fruits and the local catch of the day.

I wouldn't say this beach is a "swim" beach. There are a lot of boats and stalls to buy fish and seafood. The water was quite rough when we went but the scenery was lovely! It looked a bit dirty at the stalls and over all the "town" isn't pretty. The boats are pretty and it makes for good photos.... More
