My first adventure to Thailand and to really see the sights I booked a Sunday afternoon tour with Isabelle and Phuket Photo Tours. One of the best afternoons of photography experience I have ever enjoyed. I have a collection of photos I never would have created if not for this tour. Well worth it and a must do for any photographer. Special thanks to Sam and Oh for their company.

My daughter & I recently did the photo tour after somehow finding it on trip advisor. WOW it was the best tour we have ever done, the guide/host Isabelle is so lovely as is her assistant Oh. I love taking photos but am no professional thats for sure. This tour is a very personal one on one tour, they take four people maximum & we were lucky enough to have just the two of us the day we went. We chose to do the Peoples Smile tour as I love the Thai people, children, dogs, cats & all else thai. I had recently purchased a Digital SLR camera, had no idea what to do with it to be honest. Isabelle took the time to show mw how to use it & lots of pointers for taking photos. Isabelle took us a Temple first off that not many tourist visit. Extremely interesting with Isabelle explaining the story regarding this particular temple. Great to have an insight to local beliefs. We travelled in an open back ute/truck which gave us wonderful views of the scenery as we past, next we stopped at a mangrove monkey lookout with Isabelle buying some bananas so we could feed them. Loving animals this was a fantastic place to stop & view monkey families etc, many good photo opportunities. My favourite place was next, Koh Sirey a gypsy fishing village, we had bought some sweets for the local children as this a real treat for them. I just loved walking through this village trying to communicate with the local people & taking their photo which they seemed to like. So many characters. We just sat watching the children who loved their photos being taken, doing all sorts of poses in front of camera. They were all laughing & smiling the whole time. Also they had some dogs, cats & ducks etc which we enjoyed meeting as well. On the road again to another temple called Wat Khao Rang, fantastic no tourists except ourselves, beautiful temple & sights. Then we went to a lookout called Rang Hill & had a lovely lunch at Khao Rang Breeze restaurant 500 meters atop of a hill with trees all around, it was also raining when we had lunch which actually only made the surrounding more photogenic with little lanterns hanging from trees. They have very interesting restrooms there…..& wonderful food. Sitting at lunch was a wonderful opportunity to learn about Isabelle & Oh on a personal level, was like having lunch with friends. After thoughorly enjoying our lunch we headed down to a local market called See Kor, it was pouring with rain but to be honest this did not deter anything, it was more fun if anything! The markets were amazing, full of colourful fresh produce & maybe the odd chicken feet or pigs head! We had a thai pancake while there & had the chance to purchase any of the produce available. Through out the day we could spend as much or little time at each place, it was up to us the whole day. I have been to Thailand five times already & had never seen any of the places we visited on our tour. The tour was an all day & I personally think it was an awesome price for the amount of time & places visited. Great Value…. I highly recommend taking this tour with Isabelle & Oh not only is it a very personal tour, extremely interesting learning from locals, & awesome photo opportunities, watching Isabelle interact with the people especially at the village you can see the love she has for Thailand & its beauty. Truly wonderful day thank you so much. xx PS I put a lot of pics on not necessarily the best photos but the ones I enjoyed…

I am no professional photographer but enjoy all aspects of photography. I had the best day with Isabelle learning not only photography but all about Thai Culture. My day was one of the best experiences of my holiday. I highly recommend Isabelle from Phuket Photo Tour for a great day out. I truly wish I had more days to be able to spend doing what I have a passion for but time was limited for me. The Peoples Smile tour was sensational, Isabelle responds so well with the Gypsie Villagers and I felt extremely comfortable in taking there picture the children are an absolute delight and willing to even pose for you. Thank you Isabelle for a wonderful experience and to take my photography further again. There was no pressure at all to hurry or rush to be somewhere else a very enjoyable photographic day. Thanks Isabelle from Phuket Photo Tours :)

This is my 3rd photography tour, one in Edinburgh, New York and now this one. Each one has a unique aspect and I learn something different each time. Isabelle is a charming guide, immediately we got on well and seemed more like a friend than a guide. she gave me choices in what I wanted out of the day and it's a great opportunity to consolidate what you know and ask " stupid" questions without embarrassment. Do it, it's worth it.

Dear Graham, I hope that you are well back in Australia! I would like to thank you for your kind review and for all your kind words. I had a very good time and it was extremely rewarding to answer all your (not!) "stupid" questions. Indeed, we are passionate about showing the most interesting and intimate places of Phuket and even more passionate about sharing any photographic knowledge so that people can go back home with great pictures that will remind them of the beauty of Phuket. I wish you a lot of other great pictures around the world. All the best, Isabelle

I am an avid amateur photographer and I only go on holidays to take photos. I particularly don't like 'other tourists' being in my photos and I hate going on tour with a big crowd of people. Thank god for Phuket Photo Tours! We took 3 tours with them and I wish there was a company like this is every country I visit. The maximum number of 'clients' would be 4 so the personal service is very high on the list. Our guide Isabelle was great and knows the island well. She knows how to maximize your time to get the most out of the trip. She takes you to places off the beaten track that a large tour bus would not take you, so it really felt like we were experiencing something unique and personal. You can't put a value on a local who knows how to navigate the country. You are at the mercy of the weather and you will have to adapt your schedule and planned activities no matter what and having a small group and a local showing you around is critical at those times. We were quite lucky with the weather but the one day when the heavens opened, we took shelter and waited and discussed the alternatives. I opted for Phuket Botanical Gardens which was not on the schedule but the rain had relented and the photo opportunities at the gardens, especially as it had been raining, were fantastic. On another day Isabelle took us to the Gypsy Sea Village which is very off the beaten track and not a tourist in sight, it was great and the Gypsy children were very accommodating with photos as long as you have a bag of candy to give them. On another trip we just happened to pass a baby elephant, not scheduled for the trip but nevertheless we stopped and yet more photos for me to enjoy. Deciding initially what tour to sign up for was made easier by Phuket Photos Tours as they have a clear and easy to use website. There are a range of tours to choose from and plenty of options on offer to customise it to suit your taste. Once you've chosen and signed up they are in touch with you to welcome you and answer any questions you might have, and provide info on things you might need specific to your chosen tour. Replies are always quick, informative and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. I wholeheartedly recommend Phuket Photo Tours to get you around the best way they know how... with a smile.

Dear Jackie, I would like to thank you for this enthusiastic review but, most of all, I would like to thank you for having understood so well the philosophy behind Phuket Photo Tours! Indeed, your understanding of what we are trying to achieve at Phuket Photo Tours is our best advertisement. You have said it all: Yes, we are trying to be as flexible as possible so that people can get the best pictures possible to remember their holidays. Of course, we understand that not only keen photographers, but most tourists nowadays, don't want to just follow the crowds. And indeed, we are trying to offer Phuket's visitors a true insight of the Phuket which is only possible if you are prepared to stray away from the beaten tracks. I hope that you got pictures that will tell about Phuket the way you saw it and I wish you all the best for all your future travels and all the pictures to go with them. Best regards, Isabelle
