Known as the most relaxing golf course in Phuket. Located in the centre of the island next to Red Mountain in Kathu District just 10 minutes from Phuket Town or Patong Beach the course nestles below a panoramic range of peaks, and is sandwiched between the Kathu Waterfalls and Kathu Village. The layout surrounds the largest lake on any golf course in Phuket, Crystal Lake, a massive 48 acres in size. This is an 18 hole, par 72, 6,555 yard, palm tree-lined beauty that has recently completed major re-designs and renovation upgrades.

If you get a cart you cannot share with your partner, the cart is for you and your caddy! The views/scenery were spectacular. It's a short course but it does provide interesting challenges. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 Stars is the quality of the greens. These were easily the slowest greens we've ever played on. I'm not sure if that's by design but I think the quality of golf could be improved just by rolling the greens a bit more. The grounds of the resort/course were beautiful and well maintained, however the caddie’s that were required to assist during our round were unprofessional and made the experience extremely uncomfortable. We had two caddies, one for each player and golf cart, both spoke about their tip and how much money they should get throughout the course. When the tip was given at the end, one of the caddies asked for more in front of a large group of people. When I got a beer for myself, my caddie asked if I drink everyday and throughout the trip grabbed my drink to see how much was left and made comments about it being unhealthy. She also continued to grab my skirt and pull it down (note my skirt was a maxi length showing only my ankles) and said I need to not expose myself because I need to save it for my husband.
Understandably, there is some language barrier and cultural differences, but the entire experience was uncomfortable and we were ready for it to be over. I’m hoping our experience was just a reflection of the specific caddies, because the grounds were beautiful and everyone else was very nice.

The stay at the hotel is peaceful and serene, I made an early tee time to play golf with my girlfriend. I was told that my girlfriend couldn't come with me unless she pays a greenfee even though she simply asked to tag along with me in the cart. Second, they won't let you play without hiring a Cady. Third, they didn't let me hit golf balls at the range before hand. Last, they didn't let me play because my shoes were "unsafe". It was so ridiculous that I had to laugh and they decided it wasn't a day for me to enjoy some golf at Loch Palm GC. Disappointed.

We would like to extend our sincere apologies for the unpleasant situation at Loch Palm Golf Club. We would like to clarify and make more understanding as follows:-
1. Golf course have the package for hotel guests and the club rules have the accompanying fee as allow non golfer follow the golfer during play golf but subject to follow the club rules and have caddies drive the cart for follower, the reason is the follower don’t know how to stop or drive the cart in the golf course and the safety rules very important as if stop or drive in the direction of golf ball can have a serious injury from the golf ball.
2. Club rules compulsory the caddies as same as other golf courses in Thailand.
3. The course reserve driving range for golfer who plays golf on the day only but if the customer would like to practice at putting green is no objection but the customer must have own equipment.
4. Golf Dress Code is compulsory in standard golf course.
We have also discussed at length with the front staff insisting that similar incident do not recur and make sure that the customer understand the reason why cannot reach their expectation.

It is a pity that golf is so extremely expensive in Phuket. The course is average but poor for what you pay. If you get a cart you cannot share with your partner, the cart is for you and your caddy! Green fee alone of nearly £100 and the club hire very expensive at £30 forsomeverybasic clubs , needed stiff shaft on driver but all they had was flex , course not overall long and greens could've better , despite spending all the money on green fees and club hire, pro shop charged full price on gloves and balls !!!!!!!!

This course is okay, its something I really did enjoy and certainly dont regret. In saying that though they just kind of miss the mark on what I would expect for this sort of green fee. Full disclosure I am rather picky when it comes to golf, but for a 150 dollar green fee one comes to expect little things like a decent driving range, and not being nickled and dimed for an extra few hundred baht to hit some water logged balls that they pull from a lake. I was a one ball, and understandably lowest on the totem pole when it comes to golf etiquette, but I was rushed onto the tee ahead of my time, rather than being paired with any of the other groups despite my request. As another reviewer pointed out, the carts are less than ideal and much to my surprise didn't have a cooler with ice. This is nothing more than a completely average course, touting itself as luxury. The play-ability itself is fine, and there are some really nice vistas, but its not that breath taking.
Loch Palm you need to take some notes on how courses in Dubai are run, its the small things that really add up.

I am used to golfing Bangkok two or three times a week at many different courses. When compared to Bangkok considering the condition and lay out of the course the price was extremely excessive. The course is in fair condition, plenty of nice views, I am glad I played it once.

I'm sure some people have had good service here, but for me i have been meet with not one day of bad service but 2 days of bad service, staff are arrogant and unhelpful, the first time i thought it might have been bad luck. but the second time again i was meet with hostile unfriendly staff. i wont be back.i will be playing golf on better managed and politer staffed golf resorts.

We played there this morning and was expecting it to be better. I guess I was comparing it to Red Mountain which is far far superior. The carts are old and badly maintained and the caddies are not up to the mark. They are so busy talking non stop among themselves and hardly pay any attention to the players or the game.

Great golf course. Due to the water it wasn't as easy as I had read from other reports. I had a great caddy, but some others didn't. Beware the club charges a caddy fee, but you're expected to pay the caddies an extra fee also. (This isn't the case at Laguna).
It is next to Red Mountain which was definitely a harder course. In the heat I think I preferred Loch Palms better.
I'll be heading back there.

First time back here since some changes were made to the layout and whilst they still have some tidying up to do, the course plays nicely. Most of the changes are on the back nine where they’ve removed what used to be the 17th and put the new par-3 11th in its place. The 13th was a tough par 4, now an accessible par-5 14th and the 18th switches from a par-5 to a par-4. What hasn’t changed I’m glad to say is the warm welcome and hospitality both in the clubhouse and on the course. Wishing everyone at LPGC the best during these tough times as I know that the course (along with pretty much everything else on Phuket) has shut down for the whole of April at least.

- Golf balls is various and start from THB300 for pack of 3 golf balls or you can buy used ball as pack of 10 golf balls start from THB100 and depend on the quality.
- Caddy fee is THB400.
