Winding its way through a truly dramatic 1400 rai former tin mine site in the heart of Phuket, Red Mountain is one of Asia's most exciting new courses that officially opened in 2008. The course has been cleverly routed to take advantage of a huge variety of landforms and dizzying elevation changes. Scars left from the tin mine era have been imaginatively incorporated into the overall scheme, creating a unique character at the same time as establishing an indelible link with an important era in the Island's past. Designer Jon Morrow and co-designer Al Tikkanen, have created a highly strategic and challenging 6,900 yard lay out to complement the shorter and gentler Loch Palm which is next door. While the course is undoubtedly challenging, numerous risk and reward options create a fun playing environment, an exhilarating test of golf and a breathtaking scenic tour around a course that has become a golfing landmark in the region.

As with all courses in Phuket ,deep pockets are needed. When will they ever figure out that more people will play if they charge the same as other regions in Thailand.I work in oil and gas but cannot justify spending Aus 330.00 for a round of golf.Played in Sept and course was totally water logged and greens cored yet no discount... Absolutely beautiful course 20 minutes from Patong. Pricey compared to Australian courses but you aren't likely to be allowed on a course of this standard in Australia.

First things first, golf in Phuket is not cheap. In fact it can be extremely expensive. However now and again you have to pay top dollar for a top course and Red Mountain is one of those occasions. I have played golf in many countries around the world and do not think that I have ever played a more visually... More

If you bring your sticks to Phuket, make sure you play at Red Mountain. It is expensive for golf in Phuket but absolutely worth every penny. From the moment you arrive and check the breath taking views, to the moment you enjoy lunch afterwards at the club house - it is superb. Good fun caddies (generally). Get there

I play a lot of golf in a lot of different places and this course is one of the most beautiful I have ever played! Greens where cored the two weeks before we got there but the course was in immaculate condition. I would recommend anyone planning on golfing while in Phuket to put a round in here

Even though the greens were cored the previous week, it was truly an enjoyable day on a very beautiful golf course. Our caddies were also brilliant (special mention to Wandee 034) A must for any golfer visiting the region.

Great golfing experience. Been here six times over 5 years. Course in great condition as was everything else. UNFORTUNATELY is now way too expensive. Cost of game cart caddy & tip all compulsory was over $300 Australian dollars. That does NOT include clubs balls etc. Unlikely I'll play here again.
