This area is famous for Jungceylon mall. The mall have many varieties of shops and resturants. It is a good hangout for many people especially younger crowds. It gets more crowded during weekends, still it is an enjoyable spot. If you are with children, make sure you know what streets you go around into. Some of the streets around the... More

On both holidays to Phuket I have shopped for traditional souvenirs at Jungceylon lower ground floor opposite where the food court is located. Most of the stall holders are prepared to negotiate and it is a pleasant place to browse due to the air conditioning. I found the quality to be of a much higher standard than the local Patong... There is a food court in the basement here and it was fab, you buy a prepaid card which can be used at any of the outlets. The salt and chilli squid from here was the best I have ever tasted, much better to eat here than at the international offerings at street level.

When we went to this shopping center, there was a power outage. It lasted for about 2 hours. Once it started to open up, the stands were starting to open as well. It would have been a good shopping experience if the power was on.

All stores appear to sell the same things (sports stores especially). Not much cheaper than Sydney prices for same brands. A couple of brands such as converse and CPS which you cannot get in Sydney so worth taking a look for that but otherwise average shopping experience.
