The temple of Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu is a very interesting place. Stay on top of a mountain, where you see the whole city of Mae Hong Son. The temple is different from other temples of Bangkok, because it has an architecture with...More

I saw this temple while on a bicycle ride from Pai. You head out from walking street and go straight without any turns at all until you go up the hills outside of town. There is a large sign on the right side and you...More

This morning at sunrise I walked up to the temple - it is quite a workout I assure you. But the view from the top was well worth the climb. You can see everything. They even have a cafe there.

The temple is located on a mountain. Got there by motorbike on steep roads. The temple itself is like any other temples, but it does give you the nicest view of the city.

While the temple itself is unspectacular, on a clear day the views from this temple overlooking the city of mists is hard to beat. There is a narrow winding road to the the top, though more adventurous souls can climb the stairway a short distance...More

This temple is situated on the slopes of a hill and once there, the view of the town below is amazing. There are stalls to purchase some items and places to eat, the temple is crafted with precision and attention to detail.

I saw no opening hours, you can walk up the stairs at any time, so you could go up before sunset and watch the sun rise. I guess the Wat itself (the buildings) will close at some point.
