Fresh Food & Fruit !
Mar 2019
The Maharaj Market, or "Morning Market", is a huge wholesale fresh produce market that takes place within a roofed building located in right in the heart of Krabi Town. It is a vibrant market especially in the early morning. In this market things get started before sunrise, but around 7.30 a.m. is a reasonable time for visitors to go there for shopping. After 9 a.m., it becomes quieter and the working time is finished around noon. A Japanese tourist told us about an interesting Morning Market and we found it by Google Map , when we get there it was about 11 a.m. but the market still had good and energetic atmosphere and many thing for selling such as chicken, fish, fresh fruits and any kind of eatables. The worst thing about this market is its smell but it worth visiting this stunning market.

Fruit and veggies
Mar 2019
Maharaj market is a market for locals and the place for buying fruits and veggies. The selection is great early in the morning, and it is much cheaper here than at convenience stores. You can also find spices and nuts at MM, at affordable prices. If you intend to cook, then you’ll find not only rice, noodles or spices - but also meat, fish, eggs, etc. They also sell flowers and clothes. And there are the food stalls where you can get yourself a breakfast or early lunch (or both).
Beware of the floor inside, which is always wet; the dirty water which constantly runs around can easily enter your shoes. Also, better visit early in the morning, when there’s a huge selection of fruit and veggies and when everything is fresh. And when the prices are good.

A truly authentic Thai market
Mar 2018
This market has a little bit of everything and is very large. I would get breakfast here on my way to school at 7am and it would be packed! Always a great selection of fresh fruit and prepared food.

An interesting local market with great selections of fresh and cooked food. A good place to enjoy breakfast (coffee/famous local tea+various food and desserts) scene where local have their morning routine. If you like to see the morning local way of life, this is the place. By the way, make sure you arrive here early. We got here around 06:00.

Great local food
Jan 2017 • Couples
Excellent place to taste some real thai food and hospitality.
Most of the food is for the locals, so is take away. But you can have a seat on some small table behind the shops.
A must try, especially to have some good fruit smoothies.

We went really hungry and left very full. We actually found a place inside that did a beautiful rice soup for 15 baht and had some tables and chairs so we could sit and eat, great!! Similar to most Thai food markets, full of local delights.
