If you think of a football stadium of people, place them on the beach - there you go Phi Phi Island. Suggest a private boat tour, where you access various other locations, more stunning than Phi Phi Island. Book a traditional longboat, more civilised and relaxed!!

We went to Phi Phi islands from Phuket by big boat. It was a rainy day and initially I thought that may be they'll cancel the program but to my surprise we sailed. The trip to the island is very pleasant to the eyes. Witnessing turquoise water, wonderful rock formations and clear sand beaches. But no real activity as such.... More

If anyone thinks about tours in Phuket, please do not book through MANDALA Travel. We've been there in the middle of August travelling with a speed boat. There were some kids and a disabled lady in the boat. Our guide in the boat called Chucky was a very unhelpful and dishonest person. He even forgot to inform people to get... More

This place is beautiful if you see past the hoards of vulgar, "new rich" Asian tourists and "rubbish islands" which form around the islands. Most Chinese apparently cannot swim, and not only do they shout hysterically when they jump into the water (in groups of 50), but they are not sensitive to the environment AT ALL: they throw cans and... Don't remember the company we took to the island but we were only allowed to stay there for 1 hour considering part of the tour itinerary was to go and see other parts of the area, which we didn't sign up for and majority companies if not all of them were like that. It was bloody well over crowed with... More

We made the stupid decision to go on one of the standard island hopping tours .. what a mistake... This is mass tourism at it's worst.. phi phi island was like a amusement park nightmare... If you are going to explore these islands.. spend the money to charter a private boat.. and try to get off the beaten path... These... More
