Buddhist temple on the road to Ao Nang. Its most notable feature is the giant reclining Buddha statue that sits beneath a cliff. The temple also boasts smaller golden Buddha statues which are worth seeing!

After reading the few reviews we thought this would be worth a stop on our way back to Krabi Town. It looked fairly run down and quite a tacky statue, we didn’t stay longer than a minute.
I didn’t see the appeal of this what so ever, perhaps it’s because Krabi is lacking in landmarks.

On our way by scooter from Ao Nang to the Tiger Cave Temple just realized this big rock and the Buddha statue.
It was a 20 minutes short visit, but we liked it. You can take a round in and out, meet monks, make some photos and go further.
Ps.: the big rock is amazing under the little cave.

This is a very interesting working temple, set against the limestone rock located beside the main Krabi to Ao Nang road. We visited this temple on scooter/motor cycle, for around an hour whilst en route to Krabi town.

The Krabi area does not seem to have numerous spectacular temples so why not stop briefly to see the imposing reclining Buddha statue at Wat Sai Thai which most tourists drive by on the road to Ao Nang ?

Many people (tourist) has seen this laying Buddha, when passing it by bus, going between krabi Town and Ao Nang or the other way around. Take your time and stop here sometime. You will be surprised, and pretty alone (meening tourists). There is much more to explore than just the Buddha statue :-)
