Damnoen Saduak Floating Market Small-Group Tour from Hua Hin

Damnoen Saduak is the most popular floating market in Thailand, great for photo opportunities, food, and for giving you an insight into the bygone way of life. An early morning start is worth in order to avoid the heat and catch Damnoen Saduak by boat at its liveliest. Visit a sugar cane factory and have lunch. Before you return you will have the opportunity to visit the Kao Yoi Cave!

Covid... OMG... the market which is normally overcrowded looks just empy.... many "shops" not there/closed, nearly empty... I hope it fast comes better. Good luck. At the moment there is no need to see this place... sad.

Prices of sea food and food are really reasonable who would have thought if you don’t try it by your self. Tiger prawns 1000 Thb/ kg and the sizes huge! Wonderful wee night market in the centre of Hua Hin . An absolute must for any traveller looking to pick up souvenirs or gifts for going home or even for yourself ! Great selection of most things from T shirts , to candles to hand carvings etc etc really has most things & is well worth the visit . Street food is available almost at every turn with something for everyone & if you feel like a sit down we’ll there s no shortage of restaurants again with a menu to suit most tastes . There s a cracking Seafood place in the top section which is truly mind blowing & a price of circa £ 25 is unbelievable ! Pick your own fancy whether it be local lobster , enormous prawns , crab or shrimp . , then watch them grill/ barbecue in front of your eyes !! Magic !

Busy night market in Hua HIN. All the usual stuff, clothing, souvenirs, street food and some bars with music. We ate here a couple of times and enjoyed some good haggling . Look out for the little lady with the bangles and wooden frogs. She is so funny, have a haggle and a laugh with her, she really made our night. We ended up buying a frog and bangles she was so sweet. And had some photos taken with her , me wearing the silly cap she also sells.

By the amount of visitors, I assume it’s a main attraction of the town, where main draw is food and some obvious shopping (souvenirs, locally made cosmetics and clothes, etc.). Food is cheap, but not too memorable, apart from venue called Baan Sapparot, which specializes in everything made of pineapple - try tart and juice, very good indeed. There is interesting art venue, an open air theatre, with live performance (in Thai only).
