Enjoyable - even in the pouring rain

KIds would love this too with the baby goats, rabbits and geese. It is not really a floating market but a long, covered walkway around a lake. The market is recovering from the relaxation of the lockdown rules and many of the shops had not reopened. The shops that were open had a fair choice too. There is minature train going round the entire site but was not yet operational. The market staff went out of their way to to be friendly. Allow an hour to visit - more if you want to eat at one of the stalls.

waste of time
Dec 2019
Without of your time. It is not difficult. There are a lot of closed stores and those open ware is the same. We had been before. Even then it wasn't much, but the local told us there was a renewal. Nothing to complain about. It is even worse than back then.

Horrible place to go, nothing floats
Nov 2019 • Friends
Horrible scam. Nothing floats in this floating market, all shops on the lake side, yes it's just an enclosed lake, not a river. The 200 baht tickets take you for a ride, literally speaking. The boat does not stop until you reach the jetty where you embarked.

You have to be kidding

Oh really, the worst place I have ever visited in Thailand, I would have to say really dangerous just walking on the uneven planks or going on a ride in the small boat that feels like it will sink or tip over
Shopping forget it , the toilets stink and you can smell them before you get to them
Anyway lots of better place to go on your holiday in Thailand

Nothing exceptional but a lot of fun for the kids.

Do not expect to see something similar to Floating Market in Bangkok, first of all because is not set up along a river but in a lagoon.
But if you have some extra time while you are in Hua Hin you can make a quick trip to this place where you will be probably the only Farang in the area. A lot of attractions and very cheap prices and.... more important lot of fun for the kids.

No Floating Market!
Feb 2019
Unfortunately this one time HH tourist attraction has ceased operations. The name was a misnomer because visitors walked around a body of water into various stores. Hopefully it can be infused with new investors to make it thrive as the property now just sits vacant!

Rip off

We stopped here with our driver on a tour around to temples etc not really knowing what to expect. 200THB to get in, to walk around a boardwalk with touristy souvenirs and some food. I think the ticket included a train ride around & boat trip on a tiny lake, but we didn’t bother. Really a tourist trap with nothing really appealing at all.

Nothing afloat here!
Oct 2018 • Solo
If you have been to the floating market in Bangkok do not even think about going to this ‘floating market’. First of all, non Thai folks pay $200 baht to enter. Ripoff! For that you get a ride in a rickety boat around the pond in the center of this ‘market’. Second, it’s neither floating or a market! Otherwise, you walk around the pond where the ‘markets’ are located. Half of the stalls are empty. Anything of interest here can be purchased at many of the ‘free’ night markets in Hua Hin. Actually the night markets are great! (different review). It was a complete waste of time. Save your money and time.

Avoid this tourist trap!
Jul 2018 • Family
First of all it’s not floating, then it’s hardly a market and just a really sad experience. Maybe it had some kind of glory back in the 80’s, but those days are far gone. Aviod it! Spend time in the local market instead.

Unauthentic setting for the sale of tacky touristy souvenirs. Not floating either. Save your taxi fare and spend the afternoon by the pool instead.
