Great Samples of Local Cuisine

A very nice day out, make sure you show up hungry. We visited 4 restaurants with food from different regions of Thailand, with a guide to explain the particulars. If you are not familiar with Thai cuisine, this is a great way to get an idea about what you like and can order in other restaurants. If you are experienced with Thai cuisine, it's a great way to fill up on a varied menu and try some dishes you might not have had before.

Our guide Cream was very nice. She knows a lot to tell about the typical way of linving and eating of the Thai people. We started on a local market, went to 2 totally different local restaurants...and we did end on a typical street food market for our desert!

Perfect Phetchaburi

We did the original flavours of Phetchaburi tour. I can’t say enough great things about our day with the Feast Thailand team. They pay attention to detail, water, clean toilet stops, santiser, everything is considered. We ate so many things we would never have tried without the tour and loved it all. Our guide, Cream, was so knowledgeable about the food and history. I got my hands into making steamed palm cakes, so much fun. You will not be disappointed if you book this tour.

Live like a local - do it!

We were met by Leigh at our hotel who was very helpful. Then Cream our guide picked us up in her cool truck. We went to the old dinosaur market and tried all sorts of things. Such a wonderful experience. We then went to a couple of restaurants and finished with some street food dessert. Cream has extensive knowledge of Thai cuisine and was an absolute pleasure to spend time with. She has perfect English and clearly loves her job (who wouldn't). If you're on the fence about doing this you should try. It was a very memorable moment of our wonderful time in Hua Hin. We highly recommend. Thank you Cream and Leigh - we thought you two were just great.

Fantastic food from every region and style of Thai cooking. My wife and I tasted around twenty different dishes over a four hour period and discovered some really good local restaurants which we will definitely revisit.
Our Thai guides were really knowledgeable and fun and provided background info on each dish. We did the "jing jing" tour which was very good value and a gastronomic delight. Highly recommended

Our Foodies Tour Guides and I really love the food of HH and hence we want visitors to experience it too. The Jing Jing tour is one of my favourites as it is a great way to taste dishes that are delicious but you may not have tried before or a the flavour levels. A delicious, surprising and educational tour all in one

Our host Leigh and our guide Belle both met us at Bluport to welcome us on tour and to give us an overview of what to expect. We used a private local songthaew service to go between the five kitchen locations on this tour. We started with a typical Thai breakfast of mainly varying noodle offerings down a street we know well, but within a small local kitchen we did not. We then headed to a restaurant selling Southern Thai specialities where we particularly enjoyed a spicy pork mince dish. Next we tried Northern Eastern Issan food which was plentiful and the barbecued pork was fab. Then back onto the main Phetkasem Road en route to Makro, we stopped at a local lady's kitchen opposite the King's palace, famous both for her miraculous recovery from the jaws of death and her 2-day slow cooked pork. What a treat! Finally, we ventured a little further up, turned down a small street and happened upon a secret garden restaurant far away from the bustle of the main road and offering a delicious version of my favourite green chicken curry.
We were truly blown away by the multitude of dishes, flavours and stories behind this food extravaganza. We learnt so much and enjoyed every dish we tried.
Belle was an excellent and attentive guide with very good spoken English and an innate passion to share her knowledge with us so that we gained an all-round, first-hand experience of this important part of Thai culture.
We would highly recommend both Feast Thailand and Belle for a taste and cultural tour you will always remember.

A food tour that you must do!

6 of us did the tour together. Leigh, was very organised and met us ahead with the details and what we should be prepared for.The choice of destinations and the guides were amazing. We would have never eaten in these little places if not for this tour.
Cream, our guide was enthusiastic and fun to be with.
We got a real feel into original Thai cuisine and were delighted.
Would love to try one of the other tours on our next visit.
If you haev some time in HuaHIn, this is a must do.

This tour is a true gastronomic treat, where guests get to visit out of the way local restaurants and street food vendors who serve authentic Thai dishes and food in the many different styles of cooking from Issan to Chang Mai and Southern Thailand. Throughout the tour the Feast Thailand guides explain the origin, style and ingredients of the various dishes in a friendly, relaxed and fun manner. It is clear that they are both knowledgeable and passionate about the food which really enhanced the trip.
The tour represents excellent value for money and is an absolute must for anyone who visits Hua Hin has an interest and wants to enjoy authentic Thai food cooked by locals.

Great tour

We have been to Hua Hin several times & were very pleased to find a food tour. We chose the sunset eats tour as we tend not to eat lunch, it’s too hot. There was only my husband & myself on the tour so we had guide Cream’s undivided attention. Her English is good so the tour was very informative. The Tuesday market was excellent & we had many delicious tastes. We then went to a family run restaurant which we would never have found on our own & where the food was lovely, but a lot of it for only 2 of us. Then we were taken to a street stall for sweet things & finally to another restaurant for a hot pot & salted fish. To be honest we could have done without the visit to the sweet stall as neither of us are sweet eaters & it seemed strange to go there before the final stop for what was such a substantial meal we couldn’t do it justice. However it was a really good experience & we learned how to cook our own Thai hot pot. Cream was an excellent guide & Leigh’s organisation & communication was first class. Highly recommended.

Yes, there is benefits of having the tour guide to yourself as you can really get under the skin and talk about all the things you have ever wanted to know about Thai Food however the downfall is that there will be many tastes for the 2 of you. Food was amazing our tour guide Belle was so I knowledgeable about all the flavors of Thailand and she made it so much fun.
