If you’re looking to do something super non touristy and away from city life, go on a Jappa tour! Jappa is super chill and will accommodate to you in any way he can. He’s got excellent English and will take you on a route you wouldn’t be able to go to otherwise. The waterfalls, for instance, were hidden gems and perfect after a hot day of trekking. Also, the food was absolutely incredible. Jappa gave us so much and it was all so tasty! The homestay was also really lovely and in the heart of a village. In the evening, Jappa told us all about the Lahu village history and the golden triangle whilst we were watching the sunset over the mountains. THANK YOU JAPPA!

Mr Jappa offered an incredible trek, starting with a boat ride to an elephant sanctuary where we fed elephants had a great lunch and began to head up into the hills. Mr Jappa altered the itinerary on account of the heat which was a great choice and we still managed to visit the waterfalls later in the day. The homestay was great and the food was amazing. Jappa has expert knowledge of the local area and local people which really showed when we spent some time asking him questions about Thai culture and more specifically local tribal customs. We were also given plenty of time to relax by ourselves and he did a great job at finding a perfect balance between resting and trekking. Would highly recommend this tour and the 3 day 2 nights sounds even better!

We did a tour which included the golden triangle, the Fah Luang gardens and the blue temple and black house. Japa was on time, the car was not spacious like other cars we have been used to when travelling in Thailand and Japa did not explain many things. We had to ask all the time. He is a nice man and helpful but maybe it was not his day. Apart from the triangle.which you could easily omit from your itinerary all other places and especially the gardens are wonderful

We had a great trip to Phu Chi Fa for a stunning sunrise. Japa was helpful a lot. The pick up was on time in our hotel and during come back to Chiang Rai we have still some time to visit Blue Temple. Although it was not included in a fare Japa picked up us there anyway. Also worth mentioning that we could leave our luggage for the whole day of sightseeing on their office so it was really a pleasure. Really recommend this place!

We booked a 3 Day 2 Night tour exploring North Thailand from Chiang Mai (sept2019) Our guide was wonderful and looked after us in every way. The evening before leaving he dropped into our hotel and went through the tour and changed items to reflect our greater interests. He provided fruit juice, water and even stopped to buy local produce for us to experience during the trip. Japa tours knowledge of the local area allowed us to explore the region and experence places we would not have been able to find on our own. The accommodation provided was fantastic along with breakfast, lunches and dinners. Highly reccommend for a True North Thailand Experience. We hope he and his family take up our offer to visit us in Penang sometime in the future.
