The whole ancient city lied within residential area, you can see the ruin stay behind someone's backyard or front yard or beside the road...was not well preserve, what a waste. It could be as big as Angkor Wat.

Drive across traditional houses, reservoir, tea plantations...etc... It's a must to visit if you're in Chiangrai.

I liked the town as it is a quiet place along the river. Had a nice walk around the citywall, hardly any tourist here ! Good to visit as daytrip from Chiang Rai by minibus.
