There are two separate restaurant locations. One side is for locals and the other for visitors and locals. Both are fun, depending on your mood. They have stages with various entertainment. Then you get to browse the many booths. Try the locally made coconut ice...More

If you're looking for silk scarves, harem pants, quirky t-shirts or gifts, the night market is the place to find them. There is a vast range of fabrics and designs available - if you don't see something you like, just keep walking. Stall holders go...More

The night bazaar is mandatory if you visit Chiang Rai, food is cheap and excellent. After your meal wander through the many stalls selling a range of souvenirs and clothing. Great night out!!

I go to this night market frequently. It is definitely one of the least expensive markets I've seen in Thailand. You can get really great food and clothes for cheap. They also sell really awesome incense I use daily.

A fraction of the size of the chiang mai bazaar, there are also less people, making it a comfortable way to spend the evening. Prices here also tend to be cheaper. For example, I bought cushion covers here for 100 baht (down from 140 baht)...More

Visited with kids. The place is clean. People are nice. Police is everywhere. There are some shows on few stages around. Nice shops. There are also places to eat local food.

Spare a few hours in the evening, there are variety of foods at the food court. It is open air dining with complimentary cultural show. Let's try grill chicken and fried vegetable, yumm. You can also find inexpensive souvenir and clothes items in the market...More

Previous answers are correct. Not a short walk. When in Chiang Rai I always stay at the Chiang Rai hotel 2 minute walk to the Clock Tower and less than 10 minute walk to the night market. Great location and close to... More
