We are a French group of 4 adults and 6 kids ages 7 to 15. We just finished the 3 day treck with our amazing guide Wooth. He was wonderful with the kids, who were impressed by his ability to build everything (from toys to cooking ustensiles) with local bamboo. Day 3 was not hiking but kayaking which we enjoyed much. Food was fresh and delicious, though very local. Bedrooms had mosquito nets. Excellent assistance was provided to a person of our group with a minor injury (including 100% medical coverage).

This was one of our favorite things we did in Thailand. We did the two in one program which was sightseeing, overnight stay in a village and a trek the next day. Our guide was Sun and he was fabulous. Upon arrival they cooked us an authentic meal and we sat around chatting until bedtime. We got up early the next morning walked around the village and started our hike. Please know, you are staying in a remote village without electricity and sleeping in a hut on the ground with a mosquito net- not luxury- but such a fun and different experience. You are part of the village for a night!! The hike was challenging during the uphill portions but the rest was just more or less a hike complexity wise. We didn’t always follow a trail and had to climb over fallen bamboo (fun!) I would definitely recommend hiking or athletic shoes. We stopped for lunch and Sun prepared it and make everything from bamboo. It was fascinating watching his skill! Also keep in mind, if you do this tour, even though youre sightseeing for a full day you’re hiking with all of your belongings, so only bring a backpack or wear the same thing both days. We loved this and would recommend it to everyone.

We done the 2 day 1 night trek, unforgettable experience, Wooth was a brilliant guide, trek was difficult at times but we went at a pace that suited the entire group. We were treated to a delicious meal both at the homestay and at the bamboo bbq lunch the next day. Highly recommend.

We were a group of 3 friends doing the 2 day 1 night trek and loved it! We walked through rice fields, bamboo jungles, across small streams, up and down hills with beautiful views. Lunch was delicious and cooked over an open fire in bamboo. We enjoyed the homestay (just a note that the beds are basic). My only feedback would be that we would have liked to have learnt more about the people in the village, perhaps the guide could tell us about them as I’m aware that the villagers mostly only speak their local dialect.

My sister (23) and I (20) decided to do the 2 night, 3 day hike with Lanna Trek. This hike was without a doubt one of our highlights of Thailand. One cannot put into words how rewarding this hike was. From the lush greenery, to the tribal Thai villages, and all of the rice fields and waterfalls in between, the hike really was a once in a lifetime experience. Our tour guide, Lue, was phenomenal. He spoke English beautifully and was very informative and pleasant to spend 3 days with. Great sense of humor too! He was very kind and even made us some bamboo cups for us to take back home as souvenirs. Lanna Trek was extremely organized and hospitable. They collected us from the airport and even helped us find accommodation for our last night in Chiang Rai. To anyone thinking of visiting Northern Thailand, I would highly recommend this activity!
