We did the One Day Mountain Bike tour with Amon, our guide. A very interesting and scenic route was brought alive by Amon, who was very knowledgeable about everything from pineapple and rubber plantations to funeral rites and the birds we saw. We were well fed and watered by the support vehicle which frequently met us along the way.
Although there was an option of continuing for a final 18 km, the stop for a swim at the hot springs was so relaxing that we decided that a natural end to the day had arrived.
Thoroughly recommend this tour, and Amon as a guide. A great way to see a side of Thailand we hadn't seen in the previous three weeks of our holidays.

We booked the “Lanna Countryside and buffalo trail” with our 2 children, 7 and 9. We had an amazing day biking 44km with Bee, his 4 year old son and Anek as well as with another visiting family. The day was so well organized and paced. These guys are real professionals: the route the chose was well planned, their equipment is in great shape and they are relaxed but constantly aware of security (that is a big plus when you cycle with children in a foreign country). The food/water was delicious and the refreshments were plenty. I really felt that our guides were here for us and really looking after us and our enjoyment. Nothing was ever a problem and there was no stress whatsoever...it was just an enjoyable, relaxing, amazing day.

Amon led my husband and I, as well as one additional rider, through the lovely countryside of Chiang Rai. Amon was very informative about the rubber trees and the local rice fields. Very gentle terrain, excellent equipment, and delicious lunch at a local restaurant along the way, made this a very enjoyable morning.

My partner and I did the four day Golden Triangle bicycle tour with Chiang Rai Bicycle Tours. Our guide was Amon and he was a mine of information about local culture, and plants and trees and animal life. He and the driver, Best, took great care of us and made sure we ate a variety of Thai dishes. He also recognised our need for good coffee in the mornings and located a decent coffee for us to drink. The days had a variety of activities and the accommodation was always clean with comfortable beds. We appreciated the snacks, especially the fresh fruit that we were given each day.
Before the trip Bee was helpful by responding to emails and requests.
The cycling was usually off main roads, through local villages and rice paddies and occasionally on dirt tracks. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to people who want to get out into the country side and get some exercise while still doing some sight-seeing.

Our tour started with a pickup from our hotel in Chiang Rai by our guide Amon and his driver, Best. We had an hour's drive in the back of a covered pick up to Chiang Saen, the start of our cycling. To be honest I was quite nervous about the comfort of the drive beforehand, but had no issues at all. The bench seats were very comfortable and, as there was only the two of us on the tour with Amon, we were able to stretch out.

On arrival at Chiang Saen we were given a briefing of our bikes. The bikes were in great condition (some of the best we've ridden on a cyling tour). The cycling was at a reasonable pace and I would say a good level of fitness is required. It was mostly flat but there were a few inclines which my quads felt). We were able to call out whenever we wanted to stop to take photos (which I did quite a few times).

There was an abundance of delicious snacks provided at our stops. And plenty of water and coke and canned coffee drinks were available whenever we wanted.

We had the choice of lunching near the Golden Triangle and Opium Museum or cycling for 12km further to a quieter venue. We chose to ride on and were glad we did. We stopped at an awesome location that was home to a vineyard. The food was delicious and the it was a quiet, serene setting.

Our cycling ended at the Thailand / Myanmar border. We had been given the option to hop in the back of the pick up 8km prior, but decided to continue cycling to the end (all up 52km). Amon kindly took us up to a lookout (250 steps!) that gave an amazing view into Myanmar.

Overall I would highly recommend this tour. It was definitely the most expensive one that we have done (we've done a lot of them). Having said that, the bikes were all great, the snacks were plentiful and the ride to and from Chaing Rai was comfortable so no complaints from us.

We did the full day waterfall trip seeing the elephants. Mr Bee is an awesome guide with amazing leg power up the hills! The trip is great to parts of the rural areas that you would not normally see. It is not for the faint hearted with numerous hills. The bikes are very good with 15 geers which helps a lot. Feel free the e-mail Mr Bee as he is very helpful and will offer suggestions on how to form your tour.

Excellent half day cycle tour with Amon. The bikes are in excellent condition and there is a focus on safety as well as enjoying the ride. Amon is an engaging individual, who has genuine strong family, health and spiritual values. He is a great guide and knowledgeable about most aspects of Thai culture, environment and society. He took us to visit a temple and we were well received by a large group of local people and the head monk , who were making clay figurines for the new temple being built. Then we cycled to a near bye restaurant for a delicious lunch. We cycle at home regularly and may do a longer tour next time and highly recommend this small family owned company.

Expert tour guides with extremely detailed knowledge of numerous routes to get you to the sites they publish. They are able to change the route on the spot to match your fitness level. Honestly they did extreme amounts of homework!

We took the hot springs version and were not let down! We went to the back roads and felt like we really got a sense of how every part of rural Chiang Rai looked. At times we were alone with the guide on a quiet mountain dirt road with breathtaking views then other times we were in rural towns that were bustling. The variety was incredible!

Add to that the guide (Amon's) knowledge of the area! He was able to answer numerous questions I asked (and I am a question asker!) with patience! He even took time to explain the Thai Royal family to us which is something I was always curious about.

We ended up doing a private tour and I was a bit worried that it would be hard to make conversation or force it but it wasn't bad at all!

I would one trillion percent recommend this as a must do event!

My partner and I are also quite fit and found the 45+ km a challenge. I would absolutely recommend bringing electrolytes to maintain your balance. I didn't do that and I got horrible cramps towards km 43.

Absolutely fantastic full day going from Chiang-Sean to Mae Sai. Very high quality mountain bikes with front suspension, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes - the bikes looked very new and well maintained.

Our guide Anom was friendly and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area.

The Opium Museum was a pleasant surprise and worth visiting. Anom and the support driver made sure we always had plenty to drink and there was snacks and fresh fruit available. Lunch at 'Hay Days' cafe was very good.

Highly recommended as a way to see some of the less well travelled areas in northern Thailand.

My wife and I just completed a 3 day cycling tour north of Chiang Rai with this company. It was generally excellent. We cycled about 175km in total, mostly flat with some rolling hills and mostly on quiet back roads with little traffic through the Thai countryside. Some of the roads were gravel but the roads were generally quite good. It was great to see rural Thailand. We cycled past rice paddies, pineapple fields and rubber trees. Our guide was Bee, who is also the owner of the company. He was a wealth of local knowledge and also very good company. We stayed at very nice hotels with pools. Meals were at local restaurants along the way and were excellent. Our support driver was Best, and he was always close by. There were lots of stops for cold drinks and snacks. The bikes were decent. I had a few mechanical problems with mine but they were able to fix them along the way and I even got a new bike to start the second day. It was also nice to do some sightseeing along the way. We stopped at the White Temple, the Golden Triangle and a great little town on the border with Myanmar.
If you like to cycle and get a bit off the beaten path this tour fits the bill. We have done a lot in Thailand over the past number of years and this would rank as one of our favourites.
