We hired a taxi for the day and spent 3 hours at two places, the Royal Villa and Mae Fah Luang Garden, Doi Tung. Mostly at the latter. The Royal Villa is beautiful, serene and well maintained with nice flowers in its garden. Visitors have...More

If you are visiting the gardens (which are very good) you should also visit the Swiss style palace. It is quite beautiful and contains many of the original artifacts. The views of the gardens and neighbouring mountains are also very good.

This house offers a good view of the Doi Tung Mountains. There is fee for this house but it is guaranteed that the view of the house inside is suitable with the cost.

The use of the recorded information made the visit very interesting and educational. The visit made us appreciate the work of the princess mother and explains why the Thai people held her in such reverence.

The royal villa was built on the top of the hill surrounded by the tranquil nature. The audio guide was very informative and provided a comprehensive delineation of the late empress’s life. The royal garden consisted of all sorts of flowers carefully planned out and...More

We decided to detour and visit the area of the late kings mother. Glad we did, even though the weather wasn’t the best we enjoyed looking around her home and listening to the audio guide. She was quite an amazing woman, like her sons, and...More
