Inteesting walk and sites

Very interesting walk inside the cave where you will find some buddhist statues and such like. We missed the bats though, probably went to early we were told.

If you have not seen it before in real life
Dec 2019
Went there twice as I missed the bats on the first visit. Both ocassions, there was a man there waiting to collecting money from visitors. I was there on weekends (Sat & Sun), so I suspect the reviewer who did not meet anyone to collect money went on a weekday.

Do recommend if you have not seen this in real life before, pretty amazing to see so many bats flying together.

Nayang bat cave observation
Dec 2019 • Family
We got there through a local Grab driver whom we booked to drive us around Hua Hin and Cha-Am for 8 hours. Very easy to get there through Google map, look out for the home-made "bats observation" signage outside this house with a small parking pouch.
Get on the viewing deck for best views (not wheelchair accessible) and be there early. The bats started coming out and form beauitful long stream towards the same direction for almost 10 mins. The rest comes out scattered outside the cave area thereafter, hence come early to catch this spectacular sight. We were there 45mins earlier.
I reckon the house owner built this deck and will be collecting 20 baht per person to use the viewing deck, but there was no one around nor collection tin.

Incredible sight!
Nov 2019 • Friends
Have talked about visiting this spectacle for a number of years but never gotten around to it - so glad we finally did!

About 40 minutes from Hua Hin, Google maps will get you there if you're driving yourself. You'll see a sign saying 'BAT' and a raised platform to sit on - it'll cost you just 20bt. You can also get a cold beer for 50bt.

Make sure you're there by 5.45pm at the very latest, the bats will come out anytime between then and 6.15pm - for us they started about 5.50pm.

Millions and millions of bats will stream out the mountain side, dancing in swirls and patterns as they go. Lasting for 15 - 20 minutes non stop, it's an incredible sight to see.

Millions of bats!
Jan 2019 • Couples
Just after sunset millions of bats fly from the caves, hunting for insects. At about a 20 minute drive by motorcycle from Cha Am, it is a popular item on the tourist's agenda.

Something different to see
Feb 2019 • Family
Having been curious about seeing bats all flying together, this was the perfect opportunity take my daughters to watch. We arrived around 5:30pm and waited at a raised seating generously provided by a local family. They request a small donation of 20 baht per person. The bats flew out around 6:15pm - it varies, so best to be there no later than 5:45pm.

A must go and see. Not many places that has this kind of show. 1st of all please check on web to see when the sun fall is and plan 30min ahead to get there. If you what to relax and have a beer you can get there 1 hour before and seat down on the deck which will cost you 20 baht which is OK. Also there is a small car park which is free.
The bats show will last for over 30mins and millions and millions of bat will come out from the cave.

We saw this on Trip Advisor and are glad we did. Found it a great experience. We arrived around 17:50 and Almost immediately the bats appeared. it lasted for about 15 mins. Felt very privileged to have witnessed this and it cost nothing. Felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of the resort's yet it was only about a 15 min drive from Cha am. We will definitely go again.

Amazing site

Amazing site to see. Timing has to be just right as the sun sets. Thousands of bats come from the cave making lovely patterns as they fly. You have to be very quite to hear there noise. It's a wonderful site. Cannot believe where they all appear from. If you are lucky you might see an eagle too.
