Booked with Ms. Nass from Similan Scuba. Everything went very smooth. Great communication via whatsapp before the trip (she speaks really good english), smooth payment, we met the day before the liveaboard to go to the dive operator running the boat I had booked and do the equipment check. very friendly service. The trip itself was also amazing. I recommend Koh Surin and the Richelieu Rock!

The owners at Similan Scuba are very helpful, friendly and genuine. We first booked a snorkel tour to the Surin Islands, which was very well run. Pick up from the hotel, 30-40min drive to the pier. Met by guides, free breakfast and then off on the speed boat. A few snorkel sites and then lunch in the park. All very nice. However it was a group snorkel trip and most of the people on the trip where obviously not frequent snorkelers or divers and we felt that we missed out a bit as the sites chosen were shallow and frequently visited. So we went back to Similan Scuba and chatted with Andrew. He said he could put us on a dive boat for a day and that they would send us with the speed boat to nearby snorkel sites. We chose this time to go to Similan Islands, and we were so glad we did. Again excellent organisation, usual pick up etc. Lovely dive boat with very nice people, and even though we were 'baggage' as we weren't diving they were very warm and helpful. The snorkel sites were stunning and the water very clear. Fish everywhere. I will definitely go back again to snorkel and to dive. Oh and at the end of the day we saw a water spout. How cool is that! Similan Scuba is both professional and personal. I will go back to them again.p

I booked a snorkelling trip to the Surin Islands for my wife and I, and a couple of days Scuba for myself. I booked these via e-mail with Andy prior to arriving in Khao Lak, and all e-mails were answered promptly and in great detail. When we arrived at the shop we met Andy, and all the trips were finalised and confirmed. We took the opportunity to ask Andy for some advice on other non-diving activities, and he proved extremely helpful. The Snorkelling trip to Surin was excellent, extremely well organised, and a really beautiful location, the snorkelling was superb. I did the Boonsung wreck dive and Richelieu Rock, and both were amazing, positively teaming with marine life. Again well organised and well worth the effort. I would highly recommend using this company, if we're ever back in Khao Lak this will by first place to go.

I had not organised anything before coming to Thailand so I was very grateful to Andy for organising my two different outings very quickly and with useful tips and advice. The whole family went snorkelling to Surin Island, which was stunning and very enjoyable. The dive at richelieu rock was the highlight of my trip, which was a really stunning dive site.

My girlfriend and I booked a snorkel day trip with Similan Scuba and couldn’t be more pleased about the professionalism of both Andy and Tui from Similan Scuba and the speedboat snorkel trip to the Surin Islands. We met Andy in the shop located right on the main road in Khao Lak and he took his time to explain every detail of our upcoming trip and even texted us in the morning to make sure the transfer picked us up in time. The trip itself was very well organized; We got dropped off at the pier where they do a check in for all the guests and get you sized up for all the gear you need for the day. There are also plenty of bathrooms and tea coffee and snacks available before the boat itself departs. The speedboat trip to the Surin Islands takes about an hour and the boat itself is quite large, with plenty of space for comfortable seating. Upon arrival to the Surins, the you get to see the famous Moken Village and see how the famous sea gypsies live day to day. (Unfortunately many of the bungalows burned down in a fire recently so we were only able to see the village from the boat but I’m sure they will rebuild quickly!). The real highlight of the trip though was the snorkeling of course and Surin offers by far some of the best snorkeling in all of Thailand. The corals were colorful with many beautiful fish and although there might be a few speedboats at a time on some snorkeling spots, they are more than large enough that you can snorkel without seeing or running into anyone else. Lunch was served on the island itself and included a delicious array of chicken wings, Stir fried vegetables and other Thai Currys. We had plenty of time spend on the beach after lunch and then spent the rest of the afternoon snorkeling around Surin. After getting back to the pier in the late afternoon there was even another buffet served with plenty of food and snacks and of course the post trip beer before being transferred back to our hotel. All in all we had a wonderful day and a special thanks to Similan Scuba for organizing everything so well and making sure we had a great time!
