Our visit to the Tengeru Cultural Tourism Programme was fantastic. All four of us are either Tanzanians, living & working in Tanzania, or regular visitors, and still we all found it very interesting and learned from it. The guide was very knowledgeable about the whole process of coffee growing and production all the way from the seedling to the cup. Moreover, it is easy to get there and the area is great for strolling, so it also makes for a nice half day in the countryside. Congrats and keep up the good work!

I had a wonderful visit at Tengeru. Getting to learn the process of coffee was very informative and at the end also very delicious when you get to drink your cup of coffee. The beauty of this place is that it is much bigger than just a coffee farm. And it makes you leave with a good feeling that you contributed to something that will be helping the community around here. Thank you very much to Mama Gladness, Reuben and the rest of the team.

Four of us, early arrivals for a Serengeti safari tour, had our very first day in Tanzania at Tengeru Cultural Tourism Programme. Ruben and Eli led us on a tour of coffee and banana plantations through a local neighborhood, greeting and talking to men, women and children along the day. We were full of questions which both men answered with lots of information and good humor. Back at the compound we were served a delicious and hearty lunch. We then made our own coffee from coffee beans and drank it together. Everyone was so gracious, welcoming and passionate about conservation and sharing their culture that we felt blessed to have started our Tanzanian vacation with them. I highly recommend a tour here.

The tour of the Tengeru Cultural Tourism Programme's coffee farm with Elis was an excellent experience. Informational, fun, and amazing coffee. Reuben and the team met my partner and me at the door with warm smiles (despite us being an hour late due to getting lost), and showed extreme gratitude and generosity to us as we toured their wonderful campus. They were flexible with the time of the tour (due to being late, we only had about an hour and a half to spare), and showed genuine joy that we got to share the morning together. My favorite part was a special few moments prior to the tour - the team recognizes that most tourists are shuttled around from place to place without interacting with local Tanzanian people, so they offer time to sit over tea and snacks and just chat with the local guide. The experience brought peace and warmth to my heart - we loved it! Elis (unsure of spelling) was an outstanding tour guide - I recommend his tour!

we drink coffee daily but actually did not even know how coffee grows and is produced. The boys from the Tengeru Cultural Tourism Program know how to tell about coffee in a fun, fascinating and educational way. Definitely worth a visit
