We were the second group of our family to go on Safari with Augustine and his team. My husband and I are in our 70s and this was a trip I wanted to go on for years but was always nervous about how to coordinate something. Augustine took all the worry out of the process for our group of 4. My husband and I really appreciated and valued that he was with us every step of the way making the trip seamless, fun and stress free. We were welcomed upon arrival at the airport and were transported to every location. We felt extremely comfortable with Augustine and Nixon. They took wonderful care of us and we cannot recommend his safari enough. I’m so happy we took this trip as I have memories and photos that I will cherish.

Augustine is a university trained naturalist and experienced travel businessman. He is professional and personable, very accommodating, and we were blessed to have him as our guide. He and our drive Nikson are experts about the terrain, wildlife, and plant-life so they knew where to take us to optimize our time in Tanzania. In addition to seeing and learning about the wildlife, we learned how safaris and tourism benefit conservationism and the economy. If you want to know something about Tanzanian history, culture, or the education system, just ask Augustine. We saw so much wildlife, and up close, it is difficult to describe other than amazing.

My daughter and I went on Safari in Tanzania with AA Africa and had an absolutely amazing adventure. We were there for 15 days and saw an incredible diversity and number of animals and birds. We not only saw thousands of animals, but were able to observe animal behaviors close up, including nursing baboons, elephants, wildebeests and zebras. We observed mating behavior in baboons and lions. We saw a cheetah hunting, as well as hundreds of species of birds, and thousands of flamingos. The lodges in which we stayed were all very accommodating and had delicious food. For us, the highlight was the Ngorongoro Crater, which is an incredible microcosm of the safari experience. In the crater, we saw the black rhinoceros and multiple hippos (among many other species). The lodge at the crater rim at which we stayed, Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, was truly wonderful. The roads in the areas we traveled are not good, but the driver/guides for AA Africa were all highly skilled and we felt safe with them even on some truly terrible roads. And Augustine (of Augustine's Adventure Africa) is a great guy who really knows how to craft a safari experience to his audience and to ensure that expectations are realized. Augustine and his driver/guides are also incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, local lore and are all around fantastic resources. I could not imagine a trip like this without them. I highly recommend AA Africa to anyone who wants a first class, personalized, Safari nature experience.

AA Africa led an outstanding 14-day safari for a small group of very enthusiastic naturalists who were interested in observing birds of Tanzania as well as the large mammals there. The driver guides were all excellent spotters and naturalists. AA Africa selected excellent lodges for our group that ranged from luxury tented camps to hotels overlooking spectacular national parks like Ngorogoro Crater and the Serengeti plains. This was our second trip led by AA Africa. Their attention to detail to accommodate all guests was outstanding. I'd highly recommend AA Africa to anyone wanting a customized safari. Our small group of 13 did a 14 day tour of Tanzania with Augustine and his band of merry driver guides. It was a phenomenal experience. Augustine is incredibly organized and has all the right connections to plan the perfect trip. We stayed in five star hotels and camps, and our three driver guides were the best the business can offer. Nickson, Onesmo, and Yahiya (sp) were not only experts on the animals and their behavior, but were superb at identifying many of the birds in Tanzania. Augustine was on top of everything, and fixed any small problem that arose, quickly and efficiently. He spent time with each and every one of us getting to know us, and became a trusted friend, not just a guide. We just returned from a two week safari with Augustine’s Adventure Africa and it far exceeded our expectations. Augustine organized an itinerary for our group of 15 that included varied ecosystems in 5 national parks, from the forests in Arusha National Park, where we saw Colobus monkeys, to the caldera of the Ngorongoro crater, where an abundance and diversity of wildlife congregates, to the grasslands and plains of the Serengeti and Lake Ndutu, where we witnessed massive migrations of zebras and wildebeests - and their newborns - as far as we could see. Each of the national parks provided us an opportunity to see a wealth and diversity of animals, birds and landscapes. Augustine and his team of talented guides/drivers Nickson, Onesmo, and Yahaya were skilled at locating and identifying wildlife, providing us the perfect view while always demonstrating respect for nature without harassing the animal. In addition, Augustine was extremely generous in sharing his immense knowledge about the country, its varied environments and wildlife, including animal behavior. This enhanced our experience as we witnessed several elephant families pass close by our vehicles and gather as clans, a lion couple “honeymooning”, lionesses patiently watching over their playful cubs, female cheetahs satiated after hunting a wildebeest together, and the delicate dik diks grazing. We ended each day of safari in awe, with a greater appreciation of the beautiful creatures and the magical experience we had watching them in their natural habitats. Augustine is an incredible host who loves this country and provided us with an introduction to Tanzania that we will never forget. He is friendly, has a great sense of humor, and was genuinely committed to ensuring we all had a wonderful experience. The accommodations he selected were all exceptional, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. We felt safe, pampered, and cared for wherever we went. By the end of the two week trip, Augustine and our three guides/drivers were like family and it was difficult to say goodbye. This was an unforgettable trip of a lifetime thanks to AA Africa and the exceptional service that Augustine and his team provide.

I can’t recommend AAAfrica highly enough! Augustine is the consummate naturalist, with an amazing breadth of knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife, ecosystems, geology and culture. His driver/guide/naturalists are also very knowledgable, friendly, courteous and they are very responsible, skillful drivers (don’t discount that last point). AAAfrica will take care of all of the of the details of your trip, and do an excellent job of it. All of the lodges we were booked into were excellent, with great amenities and excellent food. Our safari trip was absolutely terrific due in no small part to the efforts is Augustine and the rest of the staff at AAAfrica.

Augustine is a proper pro guide. His tours run like a Swiss train: always on time. But he's far more friendly than a Swiss train conductor! His happy, positive attitude is contagious. I spent a week with him and was so impressed. Most of his clients come from America, but he's open to people from everywhere.

Our trip with Augustine was the best vacation we ever had and that means something because we have been traveling extensively all over the world for the last few decades. It is almost impossible to put into words how well executed our trip was. From Augustine’s flexibility when we made last minute changes to his knowledge as a naturalist during the safaris to the interesting discussions we had around the dinner table, we enjoyed every minute with him. We also would like to give a shout out to One and Nickson, our drivers, who were equally knowledgeable and fun. We felt very safe and pampered during the 13 days in their care.
