My family just came back from an excellent safari experience organized by Augustine! We had two school aged children (8 and 10) traveling with us on our family vacation. We did not have a long time to do the safari and was worried about the length of the trip. They were not bored at all, and the driver guide Jonathan was so good with our children that they kept asking about him after the safari ended. The length of this trip was actually perfect for our children’s ages.
One highlight of our trip was spotting a leopard who had a gazelle in a tree. So many vehicles were around to spot the leopard hiding in the grass while guarding his recent meal. Everyone grew tired waiting for the leopard to come out of the grass to climb back into the tree so one by one the vehicles left. Our driver guide suspected that all the vehicles made the leopard uncomfortable, so he suggested that we wait a little more to see if he would get out of hiding to climb the tree again. Boy was he right. We got the best images and video of that leopard and we were the only vehicle there to get a closeup! I see what the other reviewers mean when they say they were in the right place at the right time!
Augustine also arranged for us to fly from the Serengeti airstrip to Zanzibar after the safari as well. We really enjoyed all the lodging accommodations and the food was excellent everywhere we lodged. We even had what felt like a feast every day on our game drives! If there was an issue or misunderstanding, Augustine quickly addressed the matter and we could tell that he is well respected. So many of our friends have seen our vacation pictures and now they are interested in visiting Tanzania for their own safari experience.

To celebrate our honeymoon we decided to do a safari and went with AA Africa to execute our vision. Coming from Canada, we were apprehensive of selecting a tour operator but could not be more happy in selecting AA Africa. Augustine executed our vision to a tee and applied a bespoke approach to planning our trip. Everything was customized to our liking, we received fantastic hospitality, and we had the opportunity to create the most memorable experience. Having a naturalist on board that provided an educated overview of ecology, animal diversity, and general historic facts made for a very informative and enriching experience.
As advice to people looking for an African Safari, things to consider are vehicle age, driver experience, and accommodations. What we really enjoyed about AA Africa was that their fleet was brand new - we saw numerous vehicles broken down whereas ours never experienced any issues and had robust suspension to absorb rough roads. Our accommodations were top notch which was important for a good nice rest before long days of game viewing. And our driver and naturalist were both extremely knowledgeable which allowed for an enriched experience.
I could not recommend AA Africa more. We did an enormous amount of due diligence and we found that they were price competitive, employed a bespoke approach to planning our trip, and had the tools and resources (vehicles, staff, connections throughout the safari tourism industry) to ensure that our needs were always met.
Thank you Augustine and Team for the most memorable trip of our life!

This is my second trip with Augustine, and both experiences were top of the line. Our trip was with my entire family (12 total including my parents/siblings, wife, children (ages 16,11,8) and it was an experience none of us will ever forget. Augustine is extremely knowledgeable, hospitable, and knows what high end travelers want out of their trip. He customizes each trip to the desires of the client so no mass groups, no low end lodging or food, and nothing overly commercialized. From the minute you land to the time you depart, Augustine handles everything (lodging, food, internal transportation, game drive licenses, etc...all you have to do is get there. Once one the trip, not only do you get to see (up close and personal) all the incredible wildlife Africa has to offer, but Augustine makes sure to include "local experiences" as well. Spending a morning at a local school, playing soccer with the kids, and getting a tour of the local village was one of my family's favorite days. Most importantly, you will get the memories of a lifetime. I can't recommend booking with Augustine enough, you most certainly will have no regrets.

My wife and I just concluded our 10-day safari trip with Augustine and I wanted to take the time to write a bit about how amazing our experience was. We booked this trip based on the recommendation from my colleague and it exceeded our expectations.
Augustine is really thoughtful in making the experience personalized and doing all he can to take care of his travelers. For example, he knew we were celebrating our honeymoon and put on "just married" tire covers and it was a really nice touch. Another example was the lunches. Most groups have boxed lunches or make sandwiches at the lodges while Augustine special ordered our meals. So, we sat down and got to eat really tasty warm meals each day.
Regarding the daily game drives, our driver, Nickson, and naturalist, Augustine, always put us in a great position to view animals all around the park. Besides wanting us to see all the animals we wanted to see they wanted to place us in a position where the lighting and angles looked best for the pictures. They also did their best to park the car where the animals were going opposed to simply going where all the other cars were parked. I never doubted their decision to go somewhere because I knew that in about 10 minutes the animals would be crossing right near our car. Their approach matches with their slogan, "The Right People, for The Right Place, at The Right Time."
I think that one of the main things that made our experience with Augustine amazing was his passion for the animals and level of enthusiasm. As a naturalist, he had an answer for all of my questions and I had a lot! So, we could observe the animals and learn at every step of the way. He also loves animals and taking pictures of them as well! So, he was constantly on the hunt to spot animals and was taking pictures and videos right along side us. We were already thrilled to be there but he definitely added to our level of excitement.
This was a perfect honeymoon and we can't wait to go again.

Augustine’s African Adventure was a true adventure! We explored five different national parks and saw so many animals including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras and more. Along the way we were treated to beautiful accommodations and great food including hot picnic lunches. Our guide, Nickson, was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, and very conscientious and accommodating. I would highly recommend this company if you are thinking about a safari. They are small and pay personal attention to their guests.

If you have ever consider going on safari in East Africa, you want to go with this company. I cannot say enough good things about aaafrica. Augustine is the owner/director of aaafrica.net. He is a naturalist with a wealth of information and connections. He has taught me more than I could imagine in the past two weeks about animals, their behaviors, migration, local culture, and many other related topics. I didn’t expect to learn so much! rather I thought I was just going to view animals. He made this adventure an educational experience unlike many other commercialized safari guide. Don’t make the mistake of going with the wrong guides. Augustine has been in this business for several decades and has developed a sixth sense as to where the animals are. He is a true gentleman and a professional who is passionate about his job. He takes the time to really get to know you and caters to your interest. He will fight to get you the best experience possible. I felt very safe in such a confusing and foreign country. He knows Tanzania like the back of his hand and it’s clear to me that people know him and respect him. Augustine offers many different packages for all budgets and interests. Thanks for an amazing trip Augustine! I hope to return one day!

This is my second trip using this incredible company. Both times I’ve been so impressed with their professionalism and their extensive knowledge of all facets of Serengeti: wildlife, birds, insects, and even plant life. No question goes unanswered! They select places to stay with experience, not going anywhere they have not personally visited. I have a minor hip/knee problem and they have requested rooms close to the dining area for me and been swift to assist me in getting in and out of the Land Rover. Planning another trip with them in 2023! Thanks, Augustine!! You are the best!

Of the 104 countries I've visited across all seven continents, I can definitively and authoritatively say that Tanzania is one of my favorite destinations and an absolute must visit. And for Tanzania there is no better tour operator than Augustine's Adventure Africa. They are exceptional. As a travel advisor I collaborate with many guides around the world to customize private trips, and Augustine’s Adventure Africa staff are top of their game. They are consummate professionals who provide unparalleled authentic local experiences and game viewing. Unlike most guide companies that schedule set safari itineraries centered around specific lodges and attractions because of exclusive contracts, Augustine’s Adventure Africa listens to the client’s requests and delivers the greatest wildlife interaction. As a naturalist, Augustine not only knows Tanzania inside and out, he also knows the animals, conservation, history, flora and fauna. My tailored tour with Augustine’s Adventure Africa delivered the most spectacular viewing of wildebeest and zebra, exactly where Augustine knew the great migration would be, at that time in the SE Serengeti. Augustine charmingly regaled with facts, insights and stories of the beautiful animals, and Mohamed worked the vehicle into the most prime spots for the best up-close viewing. Augustine's Adventure Africa was the best Safari adventure ever. My fellow travelers and I originally booked our trip for August 2020. We finally were able to take the trip this August 2022. Due to a flight delay we missed our connecting flight to Arusha which made us miss 1 day of our adventure. Augustine made adjustments so we felt our trip was uninterrupted, hakuna matata. The knowledge our guide had about the parks and the animals was phenominal and made the trip a trip of a life time. Also, so accommodating. The lodges were staffed with the most friendly people. The food was exceptional. I felt like I was in a 5 star resort everyday.

What a great adventure! Augustine took care of us from start to finish. He made sure that we had the best accommodations, our specific needs met, and even helped change our flight home when COVID rules changed. It was such a comfort to put our experience in Tanzania in the hands of this professional company. In taking care of all the details, AAAfrica allowed us to relax and just enjoy this tremendous experience.
I don't think you could find anyone with a more encyclopedic knowledge of all the animals, birds, plants, culture and places we had throughout all our Safari adventures. Not only did we see such incredible animals, he helped position us to take just the right pictures, and get the best vantage point possible to see all the action. He really knows his stuff!
I would not put myself in the hands of any other safari company in Tanzania!
