It all started in 2018..... Adam prepared a budget-friendly family itinerary but we couldn't travel due to personal work. Covid situation delayed our plans further. Finally, the wait was worth it!! Come 2021 October, we managed to travel :)
My heartfelt thanks to Adam & his WFT team, he planned it very meticulously & ensured no stone is left unturned and we get our lifetime experience!!!
Right from picking us from JRO airport and the next 6 days of the road trip, he ensured we the vegetarian family with a kid of 8 years old feel home away from home!!
I like his go-getter attitude and professionalism. His decades of game drive knowledge and a solid understanding of the ecosystem is a treat!!
I would highly recommend Adam for your Tanzania wildlife adventure!! Share your requirements with Adam and I promise he will get you the best for your money!!

When I heard my friends we're going to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, and go on a safari I immediately jumped on board. I had no idea which company we were going with, and to be honest I didn't care at the time. All I could think about was that I was actually going to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro! That being said, after having gone with Adam and his crew, I could not imagine what my trip would have been like without them. From the start of the climb up Kilimanjaro to Uhuru Peak and back down Adam, Peter, and the crew made each of us feel like we were a part of the WFT family. Out of all the groups hiking on the mountain, it was clear that we selected the right company for the job. The safari was the icing on the cake. Adam put us on the Big 5, Small 5, Ugly 5, and even some of the Shy 5. He even found us all of the cats in the guide book in 1 DAY! If you are thinking about climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, or go on a safari look no further.

Your only choice for an amazing tour company needs to be Wilderness First Travel. They offered an incredibly COVID-safe, super organized, excellent, professional and superior services for my recent trip to see the Great Migration in the Serengeti in Sept 2020. Adam Nkinde, founder, and my guide Vincent, are professionally educated wilderness guides, Adam is also a certified Mt. Kilimanjaro guide, helped me summit in 2010, trainer of wilderness medicine and leads efforts to educate Kilimanjaro porters about conservation of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The guides working for Wilderness First Travel are such smart, funny, genuine people, they will help get you to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, offer the nicest accommodations in the Serengeti, arrange a trip to see the gorillas in Rwanda or the culture of Zanzibar. This is a five star company and you will have the best time of your life! Highly recommend you get in touch with them!!

I cannot say enough good things about Adam and Wilderness First Travel.
What an amazing adventure! Every detail was perfect with fabulous accommodations, food and planning. Every day brought wonderful surprises.
We could not stump our wonderful guides, including Peter and Leo, despite pestering them relentlessly with questions. They knew it all and kept us enthralled with backstories of why the lions, gazelles, ostriches - everything - were behaving the way they did.
Along the way, we learned so much about the country, its history and culture.
This trip so far exceeded our expectations. Adam’s experience showed in every aspect of the trip. You really can’t go wrong with Wilderness First.

Wilderness First Travel was outstanding in every regard, especially professionally service-oriented. We could not imagine our Tanzania experience with another tour operator.
Adam is professional, knowledgable, and timely (always within 24 hours) in his responses during inquiry, booking, and preparation for the trip - everything was well organized and ready for us. Our climb guides - Fredy, Juma, and Rama - were thoughtful, fun, and always put our safety first. Chef Peter was phenomenal! And we loved Gilbert's service to us and his mid-hike picnics. Our team of porters were incredible not just hard working, but kind, supportive, and our cheerleaders. And our wonderful safari guide, Leo, was deeply experienced in every park and patient. Asante sana, thank you very much WFT. I dream of traveling with you again!

From the planning stages to the execution, Adam had every detail defined. This was truly a 10 out of 10 experience! I was picked up at the airport and had someone available throughout my entire trip until my drop off at the airport at the end. Being a solo traveler, everything was catered to my needs. I let Adam know what I was looking for and he delivered! Far exceeded my expectations! This is my second trip with Adam and his team. Leonard, my driver and safari guide was a wealth of information. His knowledge of the area, culture, animals, Landscape far exceeded my expectations. My Mount Meru guide, Juma, attended to my every whim and safety, but gave me space as well. Climbing is a very spiritual experience for me and he gave me space to explore this. Peter, my chef continued to dazzle me And my tastebuds daily! Gilbert, was always there for my every need along the way. He anticipated when I would want tea even before I knew I needed it! Chagi Boy, was steady and always a source of entertainment! They made me feel welcome once again from the moment they yelled mama Simba!
Tanzania is a beautiful country with beautiful people.
Adam has a wonderful way of blending creature comforts with a unique cultural experience. Look no further, you have found your guide!

From previous agreed I ternary, I was able to change to fly from Arusha to Serengeti, without any inconvenience. I was picked up promptly from the airport to tented accommodation, on our way did see lot of animals. Our tour guide had full knowledge of area. we were very fortunate to see all animals.
their recommended tented and hotel was excellent. I have asked my friends and relations to use this company as I found out it is value for money.

If you're trying to decide which tour operator to use for your Kilimanjaro Climb, look no further. WFT is it.
Everything was well organized, well communicated, everything felt safe and thoughtful and the entire team seemed well taken care of and happy to be there.
Our guides Juma, Fredy and Rama were patient, informative, friendly, and funny. They always knew what we needed before we knew. They were extremely in tune with our pacing, our reaction to altitude and everything in between. They communicated with us and the rest of the crew clearly, kindly and with respect.
Our porters were legendary. Each porter possessed such strength and resilience, all the while with a smile on their faces and kind words of encouragement. They greeted us with such enthusiasm. I don't think any of us expected such kindness and nurturing from the entire crew. Daniel's consistent bright smile and kindness remains one of my favorite memories of the trip. Everyone was cheering us on every step of the way.
I need to also shout out the food. I didn't know what to expect for food along the way and googling this did not help much. WFT and Chef Peter (and Gilbert) took the BEST care of us. WE ATE LIKE KINGS. I'm baffled at the variety, the quality and the quantity of food we had the entire way. I miss it. My home cooked meals just don't compare. We miss chef Peter every day.
Gear - high quality tents, cots and cozy rentable sleeping bags. Dining tent was comfortable and toilet tents were a godsend.
Overall, WFT, Adam and the entire team were a pleasure to plan with, and to plan with. They were always communicative and willing to answer every question we had along the way. They were nimble and thoughtful when one member of our group experienced flight delays. This was a once in a lifetime experience for us and I cannot imagine doing without WFT.

I had an incredible trip with Adam. Well planned, with a variety of activities. Adam was knowledgeable, shared a lot of facts and interesting information along the way. The accommodations he chose were comfortable, and nice. My final stay in a luxury tent camp in Serengeti was the perfect end to the trip!! The days were planned beautifully and I never felt like I had to think about any logistics and I could just enjoy my trip. I highly recommend Wilderness First Travel; you won’t regret booking through them!

We traveled with a small group of friends from Florida through Tanzania with Adam Nkinde and his staff of Wilderness First Travel. Words cannot describe how wonderful and amazing the trip was and how impressed we were with the travel arrangements, the safari experience, and the local knowledge of the guides. They found so many animals for us to see up close in their habitats while making sure to preserving the natural beauty of their country. Thank you WFT for an overwhelming once and a life time experience.

This is our first African safari and we want to make the most of it. We want to see the Big 5 and maximum wildlife. We have heard that November is transition for the wildebeest migration so we can't decide if visiting Masai mara will be a good option or we should stick to Serengeti. Is it advisable to do both or just one of them? Can you suggest an itinerary? Is it a good idea to visit Masai Mara in November? will we see wildlife? Can you send links of photos of the accomodation options available.
