I am a solo traveler who likes to have his freedom and flexibility in visiting places, and have his own tempo of where and when to go. I am also not a big fan of group tours (things like group Safaries). If you are not lucky, having a bad company can ruin the whole experience. All this means, extra cost, and extra effort to organize the trip. I was lucky to find Kiliholidays. I had to negotiate with different companies to customize the trip exactly the way I wanted, without paying too much extra. Kiliholidays offered the best price, and Mack, the owner, was almost 24/7 available on WhatsApp to answer my questions, despite the 7 hours time difference between Tanzania and Montreal (my city). He carefully listened to my plan and organized a 4-day trip that optimally stuffed everything I wanted into one package: peaceful and beautiful lodges, doing Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Tarangire, and a hot air balloon. Thank you Mack! I had to spend a lot of hours finding the right company, and finding Kiliholidays perhaps by far is the most rewarding effort I put in reading reviews, comparing plans, and negotiations. The trip, specially the visit to "Cradle Humankind", was truly a transformative experience. Despite a last-minute change of plan to go to the Olduvai museum, Mack and my driver, Edward, managed to do all the paperwork on time and made it happen. I specially owe a big part of this amazing experience I had to Edward, the guide. He was a very knowledgable, charming character, very experienced in navigating the locations, with eagle-like eyes to spot animals. Before the trip, I told him I am here mostly for peace and silence, and his observer personality knew exactly where to give it to me, and when to chat, without me having to ask him. This was really invaluable to me. Thank you, Edward! For being the right companion and the right guide!

We tried to climb Kilimanjaro, but the guides had very little technical and clinical preparation to explain to us why we had to drink water or why we had to walk slowly. They never measured our O2 levels which is essential and when we talk about it they presented an oximeter without a battery. We missed the climb because one of the elements got sick and we didn't continue for the full effect of the various surprises that were taking place. Before we started, they were already talking about tips. And in the end, even having tipped, even though we only did 2 of the 6 days, they still showed us little sympathy towards the tip given.

Amazing experience. We send a huge Thank you to our guide Edward. He is so nice, easy to be with, polite, (well) educated, skilled and knowledgeable. With him it was not only a safari, but an educational trip. We learned so much about the Tansanian culture, history, way of life...and about all the animals on the safari, about their habits and behaviour. You can ask Edward everything, he always has an answer and one can see that he loves his country, the wilderness and his job. For us he seemed like one of the predators we saw, he was so determined to find the Big Five (and found them) and was so able to read the lions behaviour, that he knew what to do to get close to them and still be very respectful towards the animals (and the other safari drivers). He also is a fantastic driver so that we always felt safe on the bumpy NP roads. And he is very skilled with putting up tents, fixing broken car windows and changing flat tyres. The food on the Safari was delicious. Thanks also to Mr.Mack, who drove us through Arusha to organize money and phone cards and patiently waited for us. Pole Pole...Highly recomended to go with Kiliholidays.

They did the itinerary how we wanted, the camp surprised us in a very good way, our guide, Thomas was very kind, and as the agency he listen to what we wanted and help us with everything. I’m the tours he show as all the animals and we have a really safari adventure. Just one thing he can explain more things during the journey. Daniel, the stomach engineer made our camping time a good gastronomic experience.
