We did a 5-day Safari with Ajabu and everything was perfect! Miranda prepared a customized itinerary and was very reactive with answering! Our guide Juma was excellent and very professional. He drove us everywhere and went to places where very few others cars went. He is an excellent driver and thanks to him we never got stock in the mud as a lot of other cars!
We saw so much wildlife so close to the car. The camps selected were excellent, clean and with great food.
Thank you Ajabu for making this trip unforgettable !

It's great to hear that you were happy with your guide Juma and that the accommodations lived up to your expectations. Following a recommendation by a lodge, we book directly with this company. We have enjoyed the two days safari to Lake Manyara and Tarangarie national parks. The guide was experienced and a real gentlemen. We managed to see lions, elephants, zebra, giraffes, etc. While it was the raining season in April, we were lucky with the weather, but it was harder to spot animals, because everthing was green (instead of the typical yellow/brown colour palette). All in all, I would certainly recommend this company to book your safari adventure with. In advance I was able to discuss our preferences with them and they came up with a good and reasonably priced offer.

Ajabu Adventures, especially their knowledgable, experienced and skilled driver/guide Issa, was the best we could ask for from Africa and the safari. Going there outside high season, into some not so visited areas, we did not expect to see so many different animals, especially big cats. First day, first national park and we saw almost the full big five. Every day afterwards was better than the one before. An adventure we could not have imagined going to Tanzania. Thank you, Issa, for the adventure and the guidance, for all the animals and Tanzania we got to see and experience. If you want to spot big cats, Issa is the best person you will ever need.

A short safari of 5 days, organised by Mirthe from Ajabu. All information upfront was excellent and also she made our trip so efficient as possible. Our guide/driver was Issa, a very very enthousiastic guy and a perfect driver. We were able to see so many animals, incl the big five ! I would certainly recommend Ajabu and Issa to everyone!!

Ajabu Advantures, via Evaneos, made our vacation to Zanzibar in February 2020 unforgatable! The best service one can ask for, great accommodations and everything according to plan. If you wish to have a wonderful holiday in gorgeous Zanzibar, we will certainly advice you to reach out to the Ajabu team in Tanzania or to book via Evaneos. You won't regret it! My colleagues and i had an amazing safari trip to lake mburo and queen Elizabeth national park, where we saw every animal we had dreamed of seeing. We also got to go on a boat safari where we saw countless elephants, hippos, and crocodiles, a nature walk where we walked among giraffes, and a night safari where we got to see four lions devouring a buffalo for dinner. We were also offered to go on chimpanzee tracking, where we found ourselves within touching distance of the chimp alpha male. Ajabu tours did an amazing job at ensuring a comfortable and eventful trip that went way above my expectations. An incredible experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life!

Hi, thank you for sharing your experiences of your safari. I'm afraid though that you posted your review on the wrong page as this is Ajabu Adventures, not Ajabu Tours. We can offer Uganda trips as well but since we are based in Arusha, we are a safari expert in Tanzania.
Nevertheless, it is great to hear that you enjoyed your safari in East Africa so much. And if your trip tasted like more, and you want to experience more of "Ajabu", feel free to contact us for a safari in Tanzania in the future! :-)

Best experience ever! I have been in 57 countries around the world, some for work and some for holidays but had never had the chance to see nature as it is!
The selection of the hotels, our guide Issa, the quality of the cars, the equipment brought to the safaris, the food quality and every detail made our trip to become something that will be engraved in our minds forever!
We had the chance to see more than 80 species of animals and look at endangered species no more than 100m away. Tanzania has the "hakuna matata" style but all the service staff was passionate to serve and always dedicated extra efforts to make you comfortable! Most of our trip we stayed at Tortilis camps inside the national parks and it was a real good choice from Jan @ Ajabu as we really felt like royalty with all the staff making us feel at home!
we definitively will repeat this trip hopefully with our daughter!

It was an absolute pleasure designing this itinerary with the two of you (I loved it that you both took turns in writing me an email - it guaranteed that you both had exactly what you wanted).
Great also to share a dinner in a local restaurant before your return flight.
Issa still speaks fondly about you. He had a great trip with such pleasant people.

We lack superlatives to describe our holiday, which was organized by Ajabu. In consultation with Miranda, she put together a tailor-made safari that met our wishes and budget. Communication with Ajabu employees went smoothly and effectively. Each of the accommodations had their own charm and were gems in the middle of beautiful nature. And then our guide Juma, without him our holiday would not have been so spectacular and great. His knowledge, experience, humor and talent for reading the animals, he has ensured that we have seen many different animals and witnessed many unexpected experiences in nature. Juma is also a very good driver. We had an unforgettable holiday and Ajabu managed to make that happen for us. So don't hesitate and let Ajabu organize your dream holiday together with you.

We went for our 20st wedding anniverary on a safari tour with Ajabu. This was a lifetime experience. Our driver had an incredible knowledge of the animals, plants and Masais. Everything was so well organized and we where picked up at the airport by our driver. On the entire tour he was always on time and so well prepared every single day. Funny guy!! All the recommended hotels from Ajabu where incredible. Very clean, super friendly staff, delicous food. For our next safari we choose Ajabu again!!!

it was so good seeing you again after the wonderful weeks we spent together on Route 66.
Great to also finally meet Heidi. I heard so many fantastic things about her and - after spending some time with the two of you - I can totally relate.
Beautiful to hear that a visit to Tanzania added memories to being married for twenty years.

This is our second safari with Ajabu. We came to Tanzania a decade ago and returned with our 12 year old daughter. Ea h day has been a dream. We've had the adventure of a lifetime. From lions dining on wildebeest to hundreds of hippos frolicking in the river... The accommodations have been top notch, the meals spectacular. But the true highlight- the hero of our journey is our guide Juma, aka the Professor. We met Juma as our guide on our first safari. The man hasn't aged. He is the very soul of patience, kindness and integrity. He may also be the most capable person we know. For the past two weeks Juma answered ever question we had with insight and intelligence. If you have the good fortune to travel with Juma one day you should count yourself lucky.
