We had originally planned to do Rwanda and Kilimanjaro in 2020, postponing it for obvious reasons. This was already complicated - multiple people arriving from and dispersing to multiple locations - and then covid restrictions/testing were added to the mix, but Alan handled everything and the entire trip went off without a hitch. Alan was great to work with and listened to what we wanted in our lodges and other aspects of the trip. All and all, went great.

Thanks to Alan for arranging a fabulous trip to Tanzania! He spoke with us at length to determine our interests and craft just the right experience, then showed incredible flexibility with numerous schedule adjustments after COVID impacted our original plans.
Great guides, accommodations, and transfers…all arrangements were seamless. We saw everything…lots of baby wildebeest and zebra, cheetahs and lions at the Serengeti, black rhino at Ngorongoro, hippos at Selous, leopards at Selous and Ruaha, elephants and giraffe everywhere, and the bird sightings were absolutely incredible!
Baraka, our guide for the Northern Route, was exceptional. Gracious, enthusiastic, extremely knowledgable…he could talk to the animals and birds and they would respond. He positioned the jeep perfectly for photographs and timed our drives to maximize game and bird viewing. Our other guides and drivers were also very good, but Baraka was in a class by himself.
All the Lodges and Camps were very nice. The Serena Lodge at Ngorongoro was beautiful, with a breathtaking view. The Elwai, Lake Manze and Mdonya Old River camps were more intimate, and we had a chance to interact more with the staff. Zakia, a Maasai at Lake Manze camp, took us on a walking tour and taught us about animal tracks, scat, plants, and lessons he learned from his father. James, also at Lake Manze camp, took us on a lovely boat tour for close encounters with birds, crocs and hippos.
Meals were consistently good…special mention to Elwai camp’s chef, who turned out some amazing meals. Lots of vegetables and mild curry sauces. It was nice to eat local food versus “tourist” food. Also, nice South African wines, even at the remotest camps.
All of our arrangements went smoothly, the people we interacted with were gracious and helpful, accommodations were very nice, and the wildlife was spectacular. Awesome trip! Thanks to Alan for all of the hard work behind the scenes to make this a reality!!

I cannot thank you enough for the beautiful review you posted. More importantly I want to thank you for putting your faith in me and trusting me to travel during this time. Many people would not have made the trip or believed me when I said it is safe and wonderful to travel to Tanzania at this time. Thank you for the kind words about Baraka. He is touched by your kind words. Thank you again. We look forward to welcoming you back to Africa soon!

We met Alan in Jan. 2020 at the NY times travel show in Manhattan, and after speaking with him for a few minutes, knew he would be a great choice to help us plan our next Safari. He also came recommended by a Fodor's travel writer who was giving a talk about travel in Africa.
When we then started planning a trip to Tanzania (with Alan's help) for August 2021, little did we know how the world was about to change so dramatically. In the time of COVID, travel has become much more challenging, and we are grateful that we had Alan to help us jump thru the many hoops and navigate over the hurdles required to reach a destination half way around the world. From helping us choose our destinations and camps in Tanzania, to keeping us informed about everchanging travel paperwork & requirements regarding COVID testing, Alan was always knowledgeable, thorough, and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had.
He was a joy to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone starting to plan a trip to Africa. Keep up the good work. Joe & Michelle

Joe and Michelle - Thank you so much for your lovely and kind review. It touches my heart when people have the kind of experience you had and I appreciate your kind words. Yes, it was a challenge but as I like to say everything in Africa has the ability to sort itself out and I think it was great that you decided to go this year. As you can see it was a great time to go. Thank you again. And I look forward to having you back again.

100% satisfied, would recommend Alan and team to everyone I know. Every detail worked and the trip exceeded expectations.
We started planning for a Feb 2021 trip and had to postpone due to COVID. Alan easy adjusted/rescheduled for Feb 2022. He helped us navigate Omicron…understood and arranged required testing and mitigated all/any risk. He did not miss a single detail.
He helped us plan and execute a 13 day action-packed safari adventure. The first week was spent in the EXCEPTIONALLY capable hands of his partner Baraka. Baraka served as driver, translator, valet, tour guide and naturalist. He was did it all with grace & ease. And did I mention he also spoke to the animals.? Ok, maybe it was just one crazy Coucal (bird), but it happened & I got it on video.
The second week we picked up new guides after flying south to visit Lake Manze and the Mndona Old River tent camps. We were again hosted and guided by super capable people that “wined and dined” us all week. Oh, and they guided us to many great birds and animals.
At the end of the trip Alans team helped us get a shower and a nap before boarding our plane for home. Again, no detail missed.
Thanks Alan for a spectacular trip.

Alana and his team are amazing!! My wife and I were back and forth on a few different destinations for our honeymoon and Africa was proposed from our Travel Agent. Our Travel Agent was upfront with us and said she had never personally been to Africa before but has a business partner in Alan who would be able to help answer anything we needed. Alan scheduled a call with us to really learn what our idea of a perfect honeymoon looked like and within a week provided us a once in a lifetime itinerary! Alan provided his suggestions and guidance but also took the time to listen to what we wanted - him and his team nailed it!
We spent a few days in Cape Town that included multiple days with the same guide who was amazing! Lucia, thank you for making our few days in Cape Town an amazing experience. Due to some sever winds, some of our plans had to be rearranged, but their team did an incredible job to ensure we were able to do everything that was planned! He planned a cooking experience for my wife and I at Stir Crazy and we had a blast with their staff!
The highlight of the trip was easily the Safari at the Dulini Lodge - Riverside! What an amazing resort that gave us the romantic honeymoon we were looking for along with excitement of days in The Bush! The staff there are easily the most hospitable people I have ever met. The food was amazing too !!
We did so much in the 12 days we were there, but in summary Alan and his team are amazing! Shoutout to Fefe too who was our boots on the ground while we were traveling checking in with us on WhatsApp regularly to ensure we were all set! Also, the transportation companies/car services that were arrange A++ ! Clean, safe and friendly drivers made our travel throughout an unknown country extremely comfortable! Would recommend Alan 100/100 times !!

Our African safari was truly the trip of a lifetime, thanks to Infinite Safari Adventures. Alan listened carefully, then created a custom plan for our trip. He tended to every aspect of our trip with meticulous detail. I felt safe and in good hands the entire time I was there. He had us very well prepared, emailing us many hints, tips, and what to expect, in the weeks and days leading up to our trip. Every question I asked was responded to promptly and in detail.
The safari guide, Peter, was knowledgeable and very attuned to the animals behavior. He was polite, respectful, and fun. You could just tell he loves what he does for a living!
The food was so fresh and tasty. The workers and the camp were there for our every need. They even treated us to some traditional songs and “interpretive dance moves”. 😄
This trip exceeded all my expectations. Truly the trip of a lifetime.

If you are considering a trip to Africa look no further than Alan and Infinite Safaris. Every aspect of our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar was well thought out and organized. Alan was extremely helpful negotiating covid requirements, visa applications and last minute airline schedule changes. Questions and concerns were addressed immediately. Every aspect of our trip was exactly as planned. Alan was in contact with our guide during our adventure.
I must mention our guide Peter. He was terrific. Great at spotting animals and very knowledgeable about their habits. He is also a skilled and careful drive, able to get us in good position for viewing without being disruptive to the wildlife. And a lot of fun! We felt very secure in his care.
We were also very pleased with our accommodations. We loved listening to animal sounds at night in the tent camps. The food was great. Staff members made us feel welcome and very comfortable.
All in all, the trip of lifetime. Everything we hoped for and more. An exciting and stress free trip thanks to Alan and his team.

We recently returned from what I think is our seventh safari arranged by Infinite Safari Adventures. As with all of our previous trips, we had a fantastic time and saw lots of wonderful sights. This was a highly customized trip with 3 nights in the Makgadikgadi Pans, 3 nights on a houseboat on the upper Okavango River, 3 nights in the Moremi Reserve of the Okavango Delta, 3 nights near Livingstone, Zambia, and 5 nights in Kafue National Park. Alan and Bella put together a fantastic itinerary for us and then made it sure that everything went as smooth as possible in a trip with a lot of logistical twists and turns. You can find lots of travel agents that will put together an itinerary and send you off, but you won't find many like Alan who stays in touch with you throughout the adventure and steps up to smooth out the bumps that will almost certainly arise. Alan has great contacts with some of the nicest properties and best guides. You will never regret asking him to help arrange a safari to Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Namibia, Kenya, or Tanzania.

Alan went the extra mile (or kilometer) to ensure that our trip went off without a hitch. I was worried that my Tanzanian covid test result wouldn't come in time for my flight. Alan stayed up all night, worked with people on the ground, and helped make sure that the result was ready well before my flight. Uncertainty and complexity can build anxiety in travel, but knowing that Alan was working the issue was a relief.

Thank you Barry for your kind words. I was so glad you guys went and that you had an incredible experience in Rwanda and Tanzania. You guys were great to work with and as you saw except for the logistics of Covid testing it is OK to travel to East Africa. Congrats on making it to the roof of Africa.

Alan and Bella are an amazing team. Not only did they help plan our dream vacation balancing nature, wildlife and city landscapes, but they listened to our desire to do so in a mindful way. Furthermore, they rescheduled the trip countless times due to covid etc. without batting an eye. It was beyond well worth the wait. Victoria Falls, Botswana (Chobe and Okavango Delta) and Cape Town are magical. Thanks for a seamless journey! We are already dreaming about our next adventure!

Hello! I am looking to get information on a safari! Can someone please contact me at..... themillersonthemove@gmail .... I would like the following questions answered 1) We will be starting our safari Sept 27, 2019, and would prefer it to be a 4 day safari ending on the 30th. We want to be in the correct area to 100% see the wildebeest migration? that is our #1priority for us to picking the perfect safari. 2) is there a fly in OR fly out option? if so how much more does that cost? (we are okay with one way driving and one way flying. just trying to use are time wisely while still not going way over budget. :) 3) if it is possible to fly in OR fly out.... we will be coming from Nairobi and after the safari heading to Kigali. Is it possible to fly into the serengeti in Tanzania from Nairobi Kenya? OR from the Serengeti to Kigali? or do we HAVE to fly into mt Kilimanjaro/arusha? 4) what are the accommodation options 5) Is there Wifi at the accommodations that we will be staying or do you know if there is Verizon reception around camp? We will need some sort of reception to check in with work. 6) we would like this to be a 4 day safari starting on Sept 27th ending on Sept 30th. Excited to hear back from you!! :) thank you, Bethany

Hi Bethany! Thank you for reaching out to Infinite Safari Adventures through Trip Advisor.
Here are the answers to your questions. I would also welcome the opportunity to speak with you about your safari as it would be helpful in the planning so that I deliver the perfect experience for you. I am glad you are excited!
1) We can certainly do a 4 day safari for you. There are 2 issues. First is availability of accommodations. That is a very busy time of year and many places that I would be comfortable using are already booked. Second, no one would never be able to 100% guarantee that you will see the great migration. The wildebeest do not have a set schedule. While September is an ideal time to see the migration in the northern Serengeti guaranteeing you will see it is not possible. There are so many factors - rain, grass, mindset of wildebeest and migration patterns during that 4 day time period. There will be plenty of wildlife and you will be in the correct area but anyone who will give you a 100% guarantee that you will see the migration is misleading you.
2) Since you only have 4 days I would recommend that you fly in and out of the Serengeti to make the greatest use of your time. You would need to be in Arusha either the morning of the 27th and thus will need an early morning flight from NBO to JRO. You would then transfer to a flight to the Serengeti and spend the 27,28,29 and on the 30th either fly back to JRO for a connecting flight to Nairobi or as stated below you could fly, contingent on flight schedule and availability, from the Serengeti to KGL. Do you have a budget in mind? How many of you are traveling?
3) You cannot fly directly from Nairobi to the Serengeti. You have to fly via Arusha. I know you can fly from Kigali to the Serengeti via Mwanza and can also fly from Serengeti to Kigali via Mwanza but again I would have to see what days it flies and if there are seats available and whether it fits your schedule.
4) There are several camps in the Northern Serengeti that I use. Availability and your budget would dictate what is available. Most are tented camps with 6-12 tents. All have beds, ensuite bathrooms (meaning your own) and flush toilets. They are wonderful.
5) Camps state they have wifi but it can be spotty. I have a verizon phone and have had great success out there but no guarantees. I personally bring a hot spot, buy a local data card and use my phone via Wifi with that connection
6) Are your dates 100% firm? Again, availability is going to be a challenge as we are not dealing with 300 room hotels but small intimate camps. If there is any flexibility please let me know. I would also like to know how many of you are traveling, rooming arrangements and the approximate budget you have. My safaris are all inclusive. This means when I price this out for you (once I have your feedback) it will include everything from the moment you land in Tanzania. All food, accommodations, transfers, flights to and from the Serengeti, guide, vehicle and park fees. The only thing not included are drinks, tips and souvenirs. Also you will need a visa for Tanzania (current cost is $100).
Again, thank you for reaching out to Infinite Safari Adventures. I am glad you found us on Trip Advisor!
Best

The comment from October 19, 2014 is very worrisome as I'm going to climb Kilimanjaro with a budget tour guide. Do you know what the name of the company was that did this to your client?
