Fantastic safari, flawless organisation

My wife and I booked a personal safari via Jambo Travel in The Netherlands, with Leopard Tours being the local operator. During our safari, in january 2020, we travelled through Tarangire National Park via Lake Manyara, through the Ngorongoro Crater and then via Serengeti National Park to the Ndutu Area of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A fantastic tour and we spotted more wildlife than we would ever have imagined! Following the safari, Leopard Tours also arranged our transport to the airport for a beach holiday in Zanzibar.

The organisation of the whole trip was flawless. Special thanks goes to our driver Moses, who was a great host, nice and friendly guy, very knowledgeable guide and comfortable and safe driver.

I wish you all the best in these crazy corona times. If there is a possibility to safely travel to Tanzania again I would highly recommend the services of this tour organisation!

Great local travel agency in Tanzania

Through our local Danish agency our two week trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar was organised and managed by Leopard Tours. From start to finish the agency took good care of us and assisted us both on safari and to Zanzibar. We want to praise our driver and guide Salvatory who was not only an excellent driver but managed to show us all the wild animals in the National parks. On top of that we had a good time together. We can highly recommend this agency if you are going to Tanzania

increadible experience, Great driver and perfect guide, saw the big 5

Without a doubt the most incredible experience we have ever had. We saw the Big 5 and more. Literally all our dreams came true during this unforgettable trip. Everything was arranged so well, the places we stayed exceeded all our expectations and we have never met such friendly people. A huge thank you to Samwel (or fundi) for making our week such a succes. He made sure all was taken care of, everyone was happy and that we spot all the animals we wanted to see. We were even lucky enough to see a caracal, 5 rhinos, a sleeping lion in the tree, leopards and 10 cheetahs all thanks to Samwels good eyes. The roads where pretty harsh but Sams incredible driving skills made us feel more than safe. Sam was not just our tour guide but treated us like family. We would recommend leopard tours to anyone and if we ever come back we would choose them again. If you are going to Tanzania, it is worth every penny. Hakuna matata

Honeymoon of our dreams, best guide of all times, Jobin!

My husband and I landed in Kilimanjaro International Airport where Jobin picked us up with a big smile and our names on a paper. It took us pretty much 1h30minutes to get to Arusha, we discovered that Jobin speaks 5 languages: Swahili, Masai, English, French and Spanish. We asked for an anglophone guide as we feel very confortable in English or French and thought it would be easier to find a guide in English. LeopardTours took one more step and found a guide who speaks Spanish for us (we are both Spanish speakers). Great plus!

Jobin dropped us off at the African Tulip hotel in Arusha and picked us up the next morning for a full brief of our 5 day Safari and planning. Jobin was always attentive to all our needs and expectations, he is very knowledgable and funny. Best company ever!

We got to see so many animals, Jobin has this great eye... he spotted animals from far that got us the opportunity to see 3 black rhinos in Ngorongoro crater.

We had an issue with our car that didn't affect at all our trip. On our way to Serengeti from Lake Manyara something got damaged. We immediately had a new guide and a car that drove us to our lodge. This guide who picked us up was as experienced and knowledgable as Jobin, very experienced and gentle! The next morning we had Jobin joining us at our lodge with a new car.

After the 5 day Safari we flew to Zanzibar with a bit of extra luggage that LeopardTours managed to arrange with the airline with no extra cost for us.

We hope we will come back soon an enjoy the most beautiful experience of our lives again!

Perfect honeymoon in Tanzania

On Croatian side everything was setup by Palma Travel wonderfully. The moment we landed beneath Kilimanjaro Leopard Tours took over and the best vacation of our lives started. We spent next 6 days on game drives in lake Manyara, central Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater and thanks to experience and knowledge of our driver guide, Karato, we not only saw the big 5 but managed to see other rare animals and events like cheetahs stalking in the high grass and scavangers feeding on a fresh buffalo kill. On his instructions we paitently waited when a lot of others gave up and we were always rewared with a perfect photo or other exciting event. Knowledgable guide is what will make your great journey perfect. Lodgings were also absolutely wonderful. We stayed at Serena lodges in all locales that we visited and we give the highest praises to the staff working there on their helpfulnes and kindness. And the best thing is that we felt most welcome to experience Tanzania at every step of our journey. We shall most definitely return!

An amazing safari with a top notch guide!

We arranged our two week trip through a travel company who uses Leopard Tours as the local operator. Upon arrival at JRO we were met by our guide, Julius, who took care of us for our first night in Arusha. Our drive to our lodging was about an hour and Julius did a great job pointing out things to us as we drove through town and answering our questions. The next morning he took us to the Arusha airport where we were catching a flight into the Serengeti. Julius escorted us into the airport and made sure we got off on our flight safely. Thank you Julius!

Once our flight landed in the Serengeti we were greeted by Abeli, our guide for the next few days. Abeli was so much fun to be with and always greeted us with a smile! He is incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about not only the animals we were viewing, but the culture and history of Tanzania as well. He was always on time and ready to roll when we were. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Abeli and should we need the services of Leopard Tours again in the future, we would absolutely request him!

Our final guide, Joseph, picked us up when we landed in Arusha to start our journey home. He is just a bundle of sunshine and energy! Even though we spent a very short amount of time with him as he transported us to JRO, he was always very kind and friendly.

Overall we had a great experience with Leopard Tours and would recommend them to anyone looking for a guide in Tanzania!

Fantastic trip

We booked a 3 day safari with them and visted, Lake Manyara National park, the Nngorongoro crater and Tarangire park. The 3 parks where all different from each other which made the experience even nicer.
We had a magnificent driver/guide/friend Raphael, he is really all knowing about Tanzania, wildlife, nature, it’s like he knows all the animals by name ;)
We were a party of 5: my parents, my husband, my 11 year old daughter and myself, we all had a fantastic time!
Really recommend Leopard tours..

East Africa Safari - A Magical Honeymoon

My husband and I visited Tanzania and Kenya on our first ever safari in August 2021 and had an absolutely incredible experience due, in large part, to Leopard Tours and the two wonderful guides that we worked with.

In Tanzania, over the course of 5 days spanning Tarangire Reserve, Ngorogoro Crater, and Central & Northern Serengeti, Karato Marmo was fantastic. He had an amazing eye, was very informative and professional, and listened closely to what we were interested in seeing. He took the time to craft each day's itinerary to suit what we wanted, exhibited a lot of patience - including extending drives longer than we had planned for - and was focused on delivering us the very best experience we could have.

In Kenya, Norman was also an excellent guide. As with Karato, Norman had a lot of experience and wisdom - with a preternatural feel for when and where action was taking place. He too, was very informative and professional and worked with us to tailor our daily plan.

Ultimately, we left East Africa in awe of its majesty. We were fortunate to see everything we had hoped for, with many thanks to Karato and Norman. This will certainly not be our last safari, and the next time we are in the area, we will no doubt seek to work with Karato, Norman and the rest of the Leopard Tours team.

Heart of Africa

It’s been almost 2 months since we returned from Safari, but the memory still vividly lives in my mind and in my heart. This is all because of one reason… people. The family and friends I traveled with, the warm and welcoming natives of Africa and most especially, our Safari guide, Lucas.

The trip would never have been the same experience without Lucas as our leader. They don’t tell you how important your assigned guide is when you book, but they can make or break the experience.

He was flexible and allowed us to make the trip our own experience; we delayed the scheduled itinerary in order to do what was in our hearts. He noticed that we were less interested in chasing animals and more drawn more to connecting with the local people. He assisted us in our new goal of dispersing money to the children in remote villages. And when desired to see the great beasts, he had a 6th sense to find them.

Over our journey, Lucas gently showed us the pathway in learning to appreciate our own life more. You may come to Safari to capture photographs of the animals, but tour with Lucas and Africa will capture your heart.

Hands down the best driver/guide in Tanzania!

So we actually booked our trip to Tanzania through Kensington Tours. Kensington contracts with Leopard Tours to obtain some of their drivers/guides. When we crossed from Kenya into Tanzania, we were assigned Steven as our new guide.

Steven is a little quiet when you first meet him. But over the course of the next 5 days, our family learned to absolutely love him. His passion for the animals, and the reverence he exhibits for the national parks, is truly inspiring. My wife and I were traveling with our 3 girls (ages 14, 11, and 8). His game-tracking is unparalleled, and he was frequently the leader out in the national parks. He doesn’t just drive around looking for a conglomeration of Land Cruisers, and then drive on over to see what they’ve found; he is constantly scanning the landscape, looking for clues among the wildlife that takes years to develop. Because of this rare skill, he was frequently the “leader” out on the game drives, meaning that we would often be the first Land Cruiser to sight an animal, and others would soon follow us. He would drive expertly through the Serengeti, stop suddenly and ask for binoculars. Our kids would always become so excited when he would do this, because it was almost always some cool sighting, albeit it quite a distance away. He was always right once we got closer. It is truly an awesome thing when you encounter somebody who loves what he does and is talented at it, and our family will miss Steven dearly. If you have the opportunity to visit Tanzania, I would highly recommend that you request having Steven as your driver/guide. You will not be disappointed.
