We booked a 5-day Kilimanjaro trek with Furaha and her team (the Marangu route) and we could not be happier to have chosen to do so with her. Everything went smoothly, the team was very experienced and professional (thanks a lot to Nicky and Frank, the outstanding guides we had, and also the chef and porter team!!). From the very beginning, Furaha was so helpful with everything, answered all our questions (and we had many...), even when the trek was done she made sure we received our certificates despite already having left for Zanzibar. It's a very personal experience. Highly recommended to book a tour with Mnyalu Safaris!!

What a breath of fresh air it was to get to know and be a client of Furaha. Happy to support a woman-owned business, but that alone is just one of the company's excelling points. She truly went above and beyond, texting my mom updates, always asking if I was okay from the time I landed til even during takeoff on my returning flight. The crew Diego (previous commenter) and I had were really the best of the best in Arusha. I noticed throughout our time in Kilimanjaro that other guides wouldn't stop to point out certain things that make the journey brighter like naming and providing relevant details about certain plants that are only on the mountain. Each experience like this was educational and enjoyable. The crew is funny, and each day when my mind planted doubt on whether I'd make it, they provided the push and support (sometimes literally with a shoulder to lean on to reach campgrounds after hours of hiking). You'll learn Swahili, be pushed to your limits, and this crew will be the only one you want there. There're little things you notice through your exhaustion or state of cold about how other companies do certain things. I found our crew professional. So caring. Our guide reminded us at random points during long hikes to drink water, take our altitude sickness pill twice a day and checked our oxygen nightly. To be staying in warm Zanzibar and missing Arusha and the mountain when you're not a cold weather person says a lot about my time with Mnyalu. That's just Kili. The three safaris I went on were some of the most fun days of my life. Kili too-I'd just add 'hardest.' Saw some rare sightings of animals hunting, eating their prey and my first guide is known as Magic Mike cause the cool sightings happen when he's around, plus he knows the best ways to approach animals to get good pictures and more if you just exercise patience which he will say often. Can't wait to return to Arusha to see Furaha. My parents and I thank her for her warmth and inability to rest til her clients are okay.

We climbed Kilimanjaro with Mnyalu Safaris last week and It was an amazing experience! The whole crew did an amazing job. We did the Lemosho Route in 7 days and I can only recommend it. We slept in tents and the food was delicious. The summit day was amzing and during the ascent, the guides and helpers always motivated us with songs. Furaha organized everything very well and she is very helpful and trustworthy! Ahsante sana

We had an AMAZING time travelling with Mnyalu Safari. We initially booked a 7 days hike in the Usembara mountains, which exceded our expectations so much that we decided to also book a 4 days Serengeti/Tarengire/Ngrongoro safari, and a 3 days trip to visit a tribe. The team was so devoted to letting us have the best time, we felt really care for. Mnyalu is a local, woman-owned company managed by an amazing team. By really listening with us, they really identified which type of traveller we are (looking for adventure, not a huge budget) and curated an amazing trip, with lots of transparency. We 100% recommend travelling with them.
