Fantastic experience with mnyalusafaris! Furah, Roi, Baraka (driver) and private chef Richard were all great!

Everything was perfectly arranged.

Since we wanted to stay in Tanzania for a total of 4 weeks, including 1 week on Zanzibar (for the Safari), we opted for a slightly lower budget Safari. We stayed a total of 7 nights in a dome tent for 2 people (quite spacious and high). In between, 2 nights in a Lodge (tent with beds and private sanitary facilities). Also 1 night in a hotel in Arusha and then sleep in the tent again for our last 2 nights. We really like that. Back to basics a bit, setting up the tent yourself. Kids aged 16 and 17 also thought it was great. We thought that was a wonderful experience for them as well. Instead of the luxurious life, just go back to basic. One campsite was better than the other. I would skip the campsite in Central Serengeti next time and exchange it for a simple Lodge. The other campsites were really fantastic (Migombani campsite, eco giraffe Lodge (Lake Natron), Ngorongoro campsite was also fine, really fresh on top of the mountain. And the campsite in Mkomazi was really great! Just the only one there and close to the We think the nice thing about the campsites is that we could wander around a bit looking for animals😁 back to basics and the food from our private chef was better than in any lodge.

To put together our trip, we had already read a lot and already had many ideas about how we wanted it to go. I presented this to Mnyalusafaris (Furah) and together we made some adjustments here and there. She came up with a very good price proposal and good ideas. What a fantastic couple Furah and Roi are together! Super attentive, quick response, very reliable.

We also enjoyed doing the trip with a local company in Arusha instead of the large travel organizations where you are just a number. We have not regretted it for a moment.

It's exciting, of course, to suddenly transfer so much money. You can also give it in cash or by credit card (only with a credit card there are additional costs of 2.5%).

The welcome in Arusha by Furah and Roi was even nicer than we could have imagined! What sweet, attentive, cheerful people! Delicious!! They wanted to arrange everything for us and gave a good tip for a restaurant in Arusha for that evening.

We booked a last min trip to climb killi and do a safari. After talking to a few companies Furaha from Mnyalu safari seemed very quick and obliging with her responses so we choose them and we are so glad we did as they have gone above and beyond for us and made this trip so special. Furaha and here team are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. There was a group of 13 of us in total and they made sure by hook or crook that evry single one of us summited mount killi wich was a life changing experience for me and although it's very challenging the mnyalu crew made the whole experience the best we could of asked for. We also did a days safari with them after our climb wich again was just amazing with our very friendly and knowledgeable guide who managed to get us to see most of the beautiful animals that Africa has to offer. Thank you Furaha and the Mnyalu team for this life changing experience.

Me and my friend organised a Mt Meru trek with Mnyalu ahead of arriving in Arusha.

From start to finish the experience was exceptional; always professional, always very relaxing and most importantly always extremely fun. Furaha was endlessly helpful and she organised everything we asked including airport pickup and accommodation at a wonderful hotel either side of our trek which was also fantastic value.

The trek itself was sincerely the best I have experienced, the staff (guides, porters etc.) which Mnyalu have in their team are truly special and made for an incredibly warm, and very very fun experience on the mountain (which is absolutely vital for building and maintain spirits in a tough climb). I really cannot more highly recommend organising a tour (and in particular a trek) through Mnyalu Safaris.

Mnyalu are a locally run company which for us was important to ensure that the benefits of tourism are felt in the local community and it is important to note that this is not true of many of the operators in the region (both those you find online or might organise on the streets of Arusha and Moshi). It's also important to note that the low prices of many of the operators you may find in Arusha are at the expense of staff salaries (making the porters etc. wholly reliant on tips). In summary if you want to travel ethically please make sure that your tour operators is paying proper salaries to it's staff as this is not well regulated!

We went on a 2 days safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro with my family and choosing Mnyalu safari to organize our trip was the best decision ever!
Furaha and her team were in close contact with me right from the moment I booked, making sure there are no questions left unanswered. Everything was perfectly organized, the team picked us up at the airport and making us feel welcomed right from the start - helping us with lots of useful pieces of advice, stopping at the shop to get necessities etc.

On the day of the safari, the team arrived on time, picking us up and introducing to our guide, Ally, who was the safari tour guide everyone would be hoping for: very safe driver, super attentive (perfect eye to spor animals, stopping when we took pictures, getting the best angles to watch animals) and very knowledgeable on his country/ wildlife in Tanzania.
In the end, on a 2 day safari, we had the chance to see big5 thanks to him!

It was a pleasure spending every minute with this kind and joyful team, thank you for everything!!

You don’t want to skip out on this tour company!!

Furaha and Roi picked us up from the airport at 5 am and we felt instantly welcomed by their energy. They were eager to inform us about Tanzanian culture and lifestyle. Even before the climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro, they assisted our group by accompanying us to downtown Arusha to get necessities (i.e. withdraw money, shop for food, get a sim card.)

Our group had plenty of spare time before our climb, but we had nothing planned out to do during these days. Furaha and Roi happily organized a day trip to Materuni waterfalls, a coffee plantation, and Moshi hot springs (for a reasonable price). We were so glad that we took up this tour, as we fell in love with the area surrounding Mt. Kilimanjaro and the locals.

The climb was a mentally and physically demanding experience, but the guides, porters, and cooks from Mnyalu made the trip entertaining and insightful. We were constantly amazed by the guides’ knowledge of the area and felt comfortable in their hands. The porters were a fun group and eased the challenge by always offering to take our bags and encouraging us to take things slowly (or “pole pole” in Swahili as you’ll soon find out). I remember how they sang hiking songs all throughout summit night to keep our energy pumping. They will push you, but will always respect your limits.

By the end of the climb, we felt so connected to Furaha, Roi, and everyone else from Mnyalu safaris and undoubtedly made friendships that will span a lifetime. We feel incredibly blessed that we chose Mnyalu safaris and I encourage you to do the same!

It has always been my wish to travel to Tanzania and this year I had to make my dream come true. At first I was so confused on where to get accommodation, how I'll get to move around but do I say, I was connected to this amazing gal "Furaha"! by a friend From my first connection with her on WhatsApp I felt some attachment to her and I decided immediately to use "Mnyalu Safaris" as my company of host. In my 4nights trip to Arusha I experienced hospitality that have never experienced before. Furaha is one person that you will get to meet and connect like you were not strangers before, she knows what she wants, customer service from her end is top notch. I will recommend her again and again to anybody who would wish to visit Tanzania for either wildlife safaris or Mt. Hiking. Mnyalu Safaris led by my sister from another mother "Furaha"! You got my vote. I will always keep it "Mnyalu Safaris" in all my tours and travels to Tanzania.

We booked a 2 days / 1 night safari in Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks, and Furaha and her team offered us the best experience ever! If you're thinking of doing an African Safari, do not hesitate to book with Mnyalu Safaris, you'll be sure to get the most professional and kindest team ever. The safari exceeded all my expectations. Everything was perfectly organised from the moment we landed in Arusha, the whole team is extremely kind, helpful and professional! Furaha was very communicative, and reachable 24/24 and contacted us everyday to make sure everything is fine! She even helped us with shopping and took us to a museum before dropping us to the airport! She and Roy are truly the cutest people we ever met! Our safari guide Ally was super nice and polite, and did everything to make our safari the best! He had an incredible eye for spotting animals from hundreds of meters and we managed to see the big5 and so many more animals ( servals, hippos, gazelles and so on) thanks to him! He was also an excellent driver and we felt safe the whole time. He was caring the whole time, slowed down when we stood up to take pictures, etc. We whitnessed incredible moments like leopards hunting and the calving in Ngorongoro. The safari car was also very nice , modern and comfortable.
We felt like being part of a family the whole time, getting to know Furaha, Roy and Ally is the highlight of our holiday in Tanzania, and i'll remember this safari for my whole life.

Thanks for everything, can’t wait to see you again, we miss you !!

Would definitely recommend. From the start, the owners were incredibly helpful and responded very quickly and elaborately to all our (many) questions. They were not pushy, even when we were less responsive while considering our options. Even after we booked, they were always available to give recommendations and information. They also treat their staff well, which seems to pay off, as our guide (Ally) was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He knew exactly were to find all the animals and did everything he could to give us the best possible safari experience.

After the Safari, we also booked some day trips with them, f.e the Kilimanjaro day hike. This is also highly recommended!

What a breath of fresh air it was to get to know and be a client of Furaha. Happy to support a woman-owned business, but that alone is just one of the company's excelling points. She truly went above and beyond, texting my mom updates, always asking if I was okay from the time I landed til even during takeoff on my returning flight. The crew Diego (previous commenter) and I had were really the best of the best in Arusha. I noticed throughout our time in Kilimanjaro that other guides wouldn't stop to point out certain things that make the journey brighter like naming and providing relevant details about certain plants that are only on the mountain. Each experience like this was educational and enjoyable. The crew is funny, and each day when my mind planted doubt on whether I'd make it, they provided the push and support (sometimes literally with a shoulder to lean on to reach campgrounds after hours of hiking). You'll learn Swahili, be pushed to your limits, and this crew will be the only one you want there. There're little things you notice through your exhaustion or state of cold about how other companies do certain things. I found our crew professional. So caring. Our guide reminded us at random points during long hikes to drink water, take our altitude sickness pill twice a day and checked our oxygen nightly. To be staying in warm Zanzibar and missing Arusha and the mountain when you're not a cold weather person says a lot about my time with Mnyalu. That's just Kili. The three safaris I went on were some of the most fun days of my life. Kili too-I'd just add 'hardest.' Saw some rare sightings of animals hunting, eating their prey and my first guide is known as Magic Mike cause the cool sightings happen when he's around, plus he knows the best ways to approach animals to get good pictures and more if you just exercise patience which he will say often. Can't wait to return to Arusha to see Furaha. My parents and I thank her for her warmth and inability to rest til her clients are okay.

Last week I completed a Kilimanjaro hike with some friends led by Mnyalu Safaris. Our trail guides were Nickson and Zephania and I couldn't have been more impressed with our guides. They brought years of experience and an intimate knowledge of the mountain to our trip which made all of the difference. They managed a large support team and made sure that we had three hot meals a day while on the mountain. We simply had to hike and enjoy the views and Nickson and Zephania handled everything else.

One memory that I will never forget was our summit day. The summit push was quite challenging and our leaders could see that we were quite tired as we made our final push. To keep us motivated, they broke out into song and kept a rhythmic pace that kept us motivated all the way to the top. To me, it showed how much they cared about their client's experience and knew the client's experience so well that they knew exactly when to deploy the right motivational tool. Our hike wouldn't have been the same without them and I wouldn't hesitate to take another tour with them soon. Thanks again Mnyalu!
