Came here for our honeymoon without knowing exactly what to expect, this safari was better than I could imagine! We have seen plenty of animals of all kind, the majority of them very near, mainly thanks to our guide Peter who was one of the highlight of the tour!! Kind, full of empathy, nice person, sociable but not invasive, he taught us a lot about Tanzanian culture and there was really no question about animals or culture we asked that he didn't know! Not to mention is ability to spot animals 2 km away which I still can't explain! He was simply the best guide one could ask for!
Regarding the accommodation we had 3 out of 7 accommodation absolutely stunning (country lodge in karatu, heritage luxury lodge in serengeti and rhino lodge in ngorongoro) in arusha we had silver palm and in mto wa mbu we had twigga lodge. These last 2 I would suggest to change because they're not so good. However they're clean and acceptable if you're not so fussy.
Second small negative point was that the jeep for the safari was quite in a bad shape compared to other jeeps (every jeeps are really old anyway) . However, it worked well and accomplished all necesites for the safari.
Moreover, Nelson, tha manager, was able to fulfill any change or necesity we had including from one day to the next without any problems.
Overall, we absolutely recommend the safari with this organization!

PS
We had a cultural excursion in the city of mto wa mbu that we absolutely recommend too. Our guide Barakka was at least as good as Peter. Nice person, really enthusiastic about his culture, country and wilderness. Again, he left no question unanswered! He took us to the really local place and market and we could experience Tanzanian culture without feeling in a tourist trap. 10/10

For starters, the safari itself was exceptional! 😍
We had the chance to be "upgraded" on a private safari once there. Our Guide/Driver Ziggy was very professional, good driving on the roads (no worries with the car), he had an eye for spotting animals and gave us plenty of time to look at them before leaving. He had good places to eat at lunch, away from other groups and always in nature. We saw almost all the desired animals, even the rare enough cheetah to see and we had the chance to witness some pretty incredible scenes of animal life (lions eating a gazelle, a battle between zebras, a baby hippopotamus devoured by a crocodile). Too bad we haven't seen a rhino.
The lodges were very friendly (especially the one surrounded by zebras!) and the staff always welcoming and helpful. The overall experience was truly unique.

However, it would be nice to have more information beforehand for such a particular stay. Apart from the quotation with the places and hotels we did not have more information on the progress or the schedule and the communication was sometimes a bit complicated (first day progress, Check-out times, pick-up once at the Pension, etc). Moreover, the first night at the Lion’s Gate Pension is not up to the standard of the stay (room with the bare minimum), too bad to start like this.

But despite this everything went very well and we have a wonderful memory of the safari; each experience is unique but if it were to be done again, we would be delighted to go back through Focus in Africa. And a big thank you to Ziggy again! ⭐

I recently went on a Tanzanian safari with Focus In Africa and it was truly a dream come true. From the outset, Nelson, the manager, crafted a personalized itinerary that perfectly matched our adventurous spirit. We explored the iconic Serengeti, marveled at Ngorongoro Crater, and encountered elephants up close in Tarangire National Park.

Our guide, Augustin, was incredible. His knowledge of wildlife and sharp eyes made each game drive exciting and educational. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety throughout the trip.

If you're looking for an authentic and memorable safari experience in Tanzania, I highly recommend Focus In Africa. Thanks to Nelson and Augustin, our trip was filled with spectacular sights and lifelong memories.

Our safari was fantastic, with a very pleasant guide and a talented chef! The men were quite skilled, and we were able to view far more than we had anticipated. We had a few minor problems with the car on the way to the Serengeti, but the staff remedied it in a matter of minutes, so our trip ran smoothly. Excellent cost-effectiveness!

We traveled to Tarangire and Ngorongoro for 4 days with Focus In Africa. This was our first time going on safari. Accommodations were cozy. Delicious meals, hot water, and large, cozy mattresses. We had an incredible time seeing a number of creatures in both national parks, including giraffes, elephants, lions, buffalos, zebras, hippos, and monkeys. Our driver was incredibly kind and accommodating, and he took in the animals from a considerable distance.
We heartily suggest it to everyone hoping to have the time of their life and make the most memorable safari.

It was an unforgettable 4-day experience through Tarangire, Serengueti and Ngorongoro crater, thanks to Nelson’s great organization and guides. Peter charming and professional who knew how to choose the best places to approach the animals and give us information. Niko excellent driver had many details as an experienced guide and got us to see the most of each park. We were very lucky with them, over time and with the more than 30 different species we could enjoy. Healthy asante

We did a private 5 day Safari with Focus In Africa. The experience was amazing, it’s incredible to see the wild life of Africa (Serengeti is something else, you must go and see…).
Our driver Augustine is very professional and he knows everything about the nature and he is a very good driver and he respect all the animals!
We really recommend this company and for sure the best driver Augustine.

I had a fantastic 4 day camping Safari organised by Nelson at focus in Africa. We saw lots of animals & had some great encounters like a hyena running down the road towards us,watching a Serval catch and eat it's prey. The camping was good warm tents with comfy mattresses altho it was a bit chilly camping at Ngorongo crater. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable to answer our questions and the chef was amazing the food was delicious. I loved the safari hostel it was comfy & quirky great WiFi, very friendly staff and again good food. I will definitely use Focus in Africa again for future trips.

Our family safari with Focus In Africa, managed by Nelson, was nothing short of perfect. Nelson’s attention to detail and the genuine care from his team made every aspect of our trip seamless and enjoyable. The camp was both comfortable and authentically set in nature, providing a real wilderness experience with all the necessary comforts.

The guides were knowledgeable and engaging, making the wildlife more accessible and interesting for both the adults and kids in our family. Our vehicles were well-equipped for the rugged terrain, ensuring safe and close encounters with nature.

The food was a delightful mix of local and international cuisine, fresh and well-prepared. A surprise dinner under the stars organized by Nelson was the highlight of our trip, making it truly memorable.

I couldn't thank you enough.

Everything was fine. I can't complain about anything, the only problem was that it wasn't very easy to communicate.
Not because Nelson wasn't nice, just because he makes everything easy and doesn't consider that you're maybe 5000km away and you would like to be more sure of what will happen there and have precise information.
Anyway, everything was fine! If I will ever go back I'll contact him for sure.
