We took a trip end of August 2018. To start with, the whole trip was planned perfect. Literally all effort was taken to give us a care-free experience on the Serengeti. From the warm welcome at Kilimanjaro Airport until the end of the trip. We had a 'private' trip with us as a couple + driver & cook from the company. The trip we had was a night in Tarangire, 3 nights in Serengeti, 1 night at Ngorongoro crater and 1 night at Lake Manyara. We had a camping trip which gives the most experience with all the wildlife. The guys clearly had experience and took us to North Serengeti for the migration, wonderful! They listened to our preferences and combined with their experience we discussed the plan day-by-day. Have seen all the wildlife you can see in Serengeti. To summarize the pro's: - experienced Guides: really valuable for understanding the wildlife - good Food: our cook made some Western and some local dishes, every day we had a decent diner and breakfast. They even made us our lunchboxes! - good Equipment: clean and pretty new tent, good vehicle (necessary) - good Service: the guys listen, are in for jokes and a good chat, put up your tent, will do anything for you - and last but not least, really good value for money. We just arranged the flights ourselves and Wilson took care of everything from our landing at the Airport onwards. Some recommendations: - bring some thermogear for the cold nights - take binoculars, the guys will have one but an extra one is always a pleasure - camping safari is still affordable and gives you a true wildlife experience Some considerations - you can have long days in the car, but these are always filled with new animals around you; - some campsites have little to no facilities, they run on watertanks and half of them have no electricity. The car has normal plugs to charge everything during the day, so it was not a problem. Just be prepared for this; - take cash (dollars preferably) with you. ATM's are limited and creditcards are accepted more and more, but in the parks the connections for the machines are not always stable enough to pay. Arusha/Serengeti felt safe enough to have bigger sums of money with you (unlike Dar Es Salaam for example). Wilson just started his company. I had little expectations beforehand, but came home with a very welcome feeling of Tanzania. The guys really did a good job in taking care of us. Recommended to my friends already.
